Abstract

A database can consist of numerical and non-numerical attributes. However, several data processing algorithms, such as K-means clustering, can be used only in a dataset with numerical attributes. Data generalization by using Naïve Bayes and K-means clustering methods is usually employed WEKA (Waikato environment for knowledge analysis) application. Although the strength of WEKA lies in increasingly complete and sophisticated algorithms, the success of data mining still lies in the knowledge factor of the human implementer. The task of collecting high-quality data and knowledge of modeling and the use of appropriate algorithms is needed to guarantee the accuracy of the expected formulations. In this paper, we propose a simple web-based application that can be used like WEKA. The methodology used in this study includes several stages. The first stage is the preparation of data, which is the tic-tac-toe game dataset that is converted to CSV (comma-separated values) format. The next stage is the process of modifying data from non-numeric to numeric, specifically for clustering with the K-means algorithm. Afterward, the calculation of the distance between data is conducted and followed by data clustering. The final stage is the summary of these processes and results. From the experimental results, it was found that clustering can be done on categorical attributes that are transformed first into the numerical form using web-based applications.

Abstract

i-CHAT (I Can Hear and Talk) adalah aplikasi berbasis komputer yang dirancang untuk membantu orang, terutama anak-anak dengan gangguan pendengaran. Aplikasi ini dapat membantu pengguna untuk menguasai kemampuan liguistik. Aplikasi ini telah dikembangkan oleh Telkom Divisi Digital Service yang merupakan perwujudan program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Telkom. Bertempat di Panti Asuhan Semara Putra Klungkung, kegiatan Pengenalan Aplikasi Pembelajaran Bahasa Isyarat i-Chat dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan, praktik langsung, serta tanya jawab kepada peserta pelatihan. Fokus permasalahan yang menjadi perhatian adalah bagaimana teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran anak asuh panti yang memiliki salah satu kebutuhan khusus, yaitu ABK Tuna Rungu. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini, tim pelaksana bersama Panti Asuhan Semara Putra dapat mengambil bagian dalam pemanfaatan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi untuk memajukan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, khususnya Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus.

Abstract

ABSTRAKBanyak perubahan telah terjadi dalam banyak aspek kehidupan kita dalam beberapa bulan terakhir. COVID-19 memaksa kita untuk beradaptasi dengan ketidakpastian yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Pembelajaran digital dan penggunaan teknologi informasi menjadi solusi untuk mengurangi risiko paparan COVID-19. Paradigma pendidikan berkembang dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi sebagai wahana pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMA Kristen Harapan, yang berlokasi kurang lebih 3,1 km dari lokasi kampus pengusul dan berlangsung antara bulan November 2021 sampai dengan April 2022. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodologi Service Learning yang merupakan metodologi yang didasarkan pada kebutuhan, masalah, atau tantangan nyata yang dapat ditemukan baik dalam konteks lokal maupun global. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah memberikan pengenalan Sistem Informasi Geografis yang diharapkan menjadi nilai tambah pada mata pelajaran Geografi di SMA Kristen Harapan. Hal ini sejalan dengan salah satu misi yang diusung, yaitu menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang mengikuti perkembangan IPTEK. Pelatihan dapat diterima dan dapat memberikan pengalaman nyata dalam Mata Pelajaran Geografi bagi para siswa didik sekaligus menjadi nilai tambah dalam pembelajaran Geografi di SMA Kristen Harapan. Hasil penilaian kegiatan berada di posisi nilai tertinggi, yaitu 5. Sementara itu, hasil penilaian kepuasan mendapatkan nilai 4.81 dari nilai tertinggi 5. Kata kunci: geografi; sekolah menengah atas; sistem informasi geografis. ABSTRACTDuring the COVID-19 pandemic, digital learning and information technology use are solutions to reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. The educational paradigm is evolving by utilizing information technology as a vehicle for knowledge development. This community service activity took place at SMA Kristen Harapan, which is approximately 3.1 kilometers from the ITB STIKOM Bali, between November 2021 and April 2022. It was performed in accordance with the Service Learning methodology, which is based on needs, problems, or real challenges found in both local and global contexts. The purpose of the service activity is to provide an introduction to Geographic Information Systems, which will be useful in SMA Kristen Harapan's Geography classes. This is in line with one of the missions carried out, which is to provide facilities and infrastructure that keep up with scientific and technological advancements. Learning in the use of Geographic Information Systems to improve geographic knowledge at SMA Kristen Harapan was acceptable, and they can provide students with real-world experience in Geography subjects while also adding value to Geography learning. The activity assessment results are in the position of the highest score, which is 5. Meanwhile, the satisfaction assessment yields a value of 4.81 out of a maximum score of 5. Keywords: geography; geographic information system; high school.

Abstract

Increased technological advancement must be accompanied by an increase in the potential for technology abuse. It is easier for criminals to commit crimes in today's modern and sophisticated civilization using increasingly advanced technology. Scam by telephone, text message, or other forms of communication is an example of a prevalent technologically-based criminal. This study aims to investigate the role of the blocking application for calls and text messages, especially the Truecaller application, given the prevalence of telephone and text messaging fraud and crime. This research focuses mainly on the efficiency of Truecaller's features and the application's popularity among the wider public.

Abstract

The advancement of technology and communication has been impressively rapid. That are where emerging cybercrime technologies were born. Cyberspace activities involve the use of Internet users. One of them is a frequent social media user, which allows for communication interactions to take place without the need for face-to-face meetings. The Internet and social media, in addition to having a positive impact on users, also have a negative impact. One of them is a type of crime that is currently prevalent, namely digital cybercrime, which is a crime committed by varied individuals in order to deceive the target using data/information from the victim's social media account. Furthermore, in the current era of the Covid-19 pandemic, many victims have received fraud, such as spam calls and SMS, from people who use various methods to persuade, usually using the victim's family as tactic and overdue in loan payments as trap, and the number of these victims is growing. This study used a comparative study to examine the effectiveness of the Truecaller application in assisting smartphone users who are disturbed by continuous terror by using calls and Spam SMS, as well as overcoming victims' concerns.

Abstract

These community service activities were intended to ease the burdens on people impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially from a financial standpoint. The implementation process was carried out offline and online, utilizing the technology. The event begins with a technology dissemination talk, an education on how to grow crops through the hydroponic method, then continued with a technology education in the form of Design classes, Webinars with the topic of learning and business in the new normal era, and closed with ceremonial, photos sessions, along with the delivery of donations.
