Abstract

From the results of observations at MTsN 10 Padang Pariaman, it is known that students need LKPD that facilitates their mathematical communication skills. The required LKPD needs to be supported by an appropriate learning model. The Group Investigation model was chosen because it fits the characteristics of the problems in MTsN 10 and is suitable for collaboration with LKPD. This study aims to produce LKPD based on the Group Investigation model to improve valid, practical and effective mathematical communication skills. This research is a development research conducted with reference to the first 3 stages of the 4D model with the following stages: (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop. Practical trials were conducted on 12 students of MTsN 10 Padang Pariaman. The results of this study indicate that the developed mathematics worksheets meet the valid criteria with an average value of 84.9%. The developed math worksheets meet the practical criteria with an average score of 87.3% for educators and 84.6% for students. The developed math worksheets also meet the effective criteria with an average score of 88%. The effectiveness of the development of LKPD based on Group investigation is seen based on the completeness of the results of the Mathematical Communication Ability test that came from 12 students. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the development of LKPD based on the Group Investigation model is in the valid, practical, and effective categories so that it is suitable for use in the learning process and can improve students' mathematical communication skills. Educators can consider using this Group Investigation-based LKPD to improve the quality of mathematics learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The ability of students in this school is low in understanding the questions given by the teacher. As a result they find it difficult to know the steps on how to solve the problem. Efforts that can be done are implementing Polya's steps.Quasi-experimental research was conducted in this study with the Randomized Control Group Only Design. Students of class VIII at this school are used as population. The experimental class is class VIIIA and the control class is class VIIIB. Final test data in the form of essays obtained were analyzed by t test. The result is the average problem solving ability with the application of Polya's steps, 78.23 and the control class, 72.38, with achievement in the experimental class 81% and in the control class, 48%. After being analyzed, t_count = 2.33 and t_table = 1.68 with a confidence level of 95% so that t_count > t_table (2.33 > 1.68), meaning that the proposed hypothesis is accepted and the ability of students in solving problems using Polya steps is higher rather than without applying these steps.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penanaman karakter religious di Asrama Pondok Pesantren Perkampungan Minagkabau, Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang datanya diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penanaman karakter religius melalui kegiatan-kegiatan keagamaan yang ada di asrama seperti ibadah sholat dan tablig strategi pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan yaitu: 1) Keteladanan; 2) Pembelajaran; 3) Pemberdayaan dan pembudayaan; 4) Penguatan; dan 5) Penilaian. Pendidikan karakter religius harus bersinergi dengan amalan-amalan keagamaan baik yang wajib maupun yang sunah.

Abstract

This research is to reveal the conception of learning in a psychological and Islamic perspective, learning is a process activity and is a very fundamental element in every type and level of education organizing activity. This means that the success or failure of achieving educational goals is very dependent on the learning process experienced by students, both when they are at school or in their own home or family environment. Learning theory is a pragmatic and eclectic theory. A theory with this nature is almost certainly never extreme. There is no learning theory that pays extreme attention to students only, teachers only, curriculum only, and so on. This research approach is through qualitative methods using library data without statistical data as in the quantitative method, so that its activities are often referred to as library research. In general, the results of this study prove that the cognitive view sees learning as something active. They take the initiative to find experience to learn, seek information to solve problems, rearrange and organize what already exists, whereas in an Islamic perspective, learning is an obligation for every Muslim in order to acquire knowledge and knowledge so that the level of his life increases. This is stated in the Qur'an surah al-Mujadilah verse 11 Allah will exalt those who believe among you and those who are given knowledge of several degrees. Science in this case is of course in the form of knowledge that is relevant to the demands of the times and is beneficial to human life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat masalah tentang bagaimana sejarah dan dinamika pembaharuan lembaga pendidikan islam di Nusantara: Surau, Pesantren dan Madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research (kajian pustaka), metode ini mempunyai pengertian sebagai pedoman dalam mengumpulkan berbagai informasi serta data yang dibantu oleh bermacam-macam sumber mergenai topik yang akan dibahas. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa surau bagi masyarakat Minangkabau memiliki multifungsi, tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat berkumpul, rapat, tempat tidur tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai lembaga pendidikan islam. Pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang tumbuh dan berkembang di pulau Jawa dan sampai sekarang tetap survive. Kata Kunci : Sejarah Pendidikan Islam, Surau, Pesantren
