Abstract

This study aims to see how much psychological treatment of earthquake victims in Lombok that occurred in mid-2018. The targets were chosen based on the location of the earthquake affected in severe conditions namely in Sembalun 1 Public Middle School. PTSD is a service after the trauma of earthquake victims. PTSD can be done after an earthquake occurs within a certain time to ensure the victim's condition, whether he is still traumatized or has fully recovered. The method used is Kurt Lewin's Action Research model, namely doing treatment in this cycle consists of four steps, namely: (1) planning, (2) action or action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. Based on the results of the implementation of the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded into the following 4 things: first, based on the results of the PTSD diagnostic instrument students at SMPN 1 Sembalun are on the criteria of high trauma. Second, based on DCM results (List of Problem Checks) Students experience 5 aspects of symptoms of Traumatic Stress Disorder, namely physical, emotional, mental, behavioral and spiritual symptoms. Third, from the activities that have been carried out, students become more relaxed and have the enthusiasm to re-pursue their dreams. Fourth, students still need psychological trauma after trauma so that they can still develop optimally in various aspects of development.

Abstract

Foreign Language Reading Anxiety (FLRA) is a symptom of anxiety in reading which becomes increasingly challenging for EFL learners. FLRA is an influential interruption that might prevent EFL learners to derive a reading grasp. The pandemic situation borders teachers’ and students’ activities in the learning process. In this condition, numbers of students in Indonesian schools perform different reading comprehension achievements, including low, middle, and high levels. The researcher noted that several Indonesian students feel anxious in the second language (L2) reading with certain reading troubles. The purpose of this study was to examine FLRA and its influence on the students’ reading achievement amid the pandemic COVID-19 schooling including identifying potential factors which affect their anxieties in reading and investigating their influence on their reading achievement. This study used a quantitative research method. The research was carried out in the Eagle Class students of LinkAge education, in Lombok, Indonesia. The sample of this study was 20 students selected using the purposive sampling method. The data were collected using a questionnaire namely the Foreign Language Reading Anxiety Scale (FLRAS) which was developed by Saito et al (1999) with a five-point Likert scale. The researcher analyzed the data using descriptive statistics. The results demonstrate that the students’ anxiety level is 58.25 which indicates that they experience a high level of anxiety although the value is a little bit lower than the limit of moderate level. There are some symptoms of reading anxieties commonly recognized by the students.

Abstract

Sekolah Perjumpaan (SP) is a concept that has similarities with the 2013 curriculum but has differences in its implementation. SP emphasizes more on individual moral awareness continuously based on mutually agreed commitments, there are three forms of interaction that cannot be avoided by every human being, namely: (1) human interaction with God (Trans-cognitive), (2) human interaction with others ( Re-Cognitive), and (3) Human interaction with objects (Cognitive). SP emphasizes continuous human interaction with other people in every meeting because character-building students not only talk about the concept of character education but also how to apply it every day. This study aims to determine the implementation of SP in SMA 1 Gunung Sari. In this study, researchers used a qualitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 15 participants who were selected using the purposive sampling method. Interview and FGD are data collection techniques used in this study. For data analysis, this research applies thematic analysis. The results showed that SP was successfully implemented in SMA 1 Gunung Sari. Based on the results of interviews and FGDs, it was shown that there was a positive change in character for the students of SMA 1 Gunung Sari.

Abstract

The use of online platforms is on the rise. Coupled with the COVID-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of modern life, especially education. The existence of online learning also has psychological. Anxiety is a typical response that expresses "alertness" and prompts a person to engage in creative activities to reduce their worry about the unknown. This study aims to describe the level of anxiety and identify what causes it in students at Hamzanwadi University, Indonesia. This research is in the form of descriptive using quantitative methods. The random sampling method was used in this study. Sample The study was as many as 33 students. Collecting data using research questions forms anxiety which is formed from the theory of Sigmund Freud. When the value has multiplied the reliability of Cronbach's Alphas through pilot studies and factor analysis respectively namely 0.865. The results showed that there were 3 aspects of anxiety, namely behavioral, cognitive, and high feelings. Students feel uncomfortable following online learning so they prefer to avoid online learning methods. The implications of this study can be used by lecturers as a guide in understanding student conditions and the effectiveness of online learning.

Abstract

There are still some students who violate school rules, for example, students often come late to school. Based on this, the purpose of this study was to find out the role given by the Guidance and Counseling teacher in overcoming the problem of students coming to school late at SMAN 1 Masbagik. The results of this study concluded that the role given by the Guidance and Counseling teacher was one of them by providing guidance and direction as well as implementing individual counseling to students who came late to school. The reasons for students arriving late varied, there were students who said they were late getting up in the morning and there were also students who said they were tired of helping their parents after school so that the next morning they woke up late the next morning, and there were also students who reasoned that they were lazy to take math lessons. With the provision of individual counseling services by Guidance and Counseling teachers, it can be seen that there is a decrease in students coming to school late. Therefore, the implementation of individual counseling services can overcome the problem of students coming late to school at SMAN 1 Masbagik
