Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tindakan guru dalam upaya menggali motivasi belajar dan perkembangan aktual serta respon anak pada saat diberikan tindakan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan adalah guru taman kanak-kanak yang berada di Kota Malang. Sampel dalam penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 40 guru dari 8 lembaga Taman Kanak-Kanak di Kota Malang dengan mempertimbangan kualitas pembelajaran di masing-masing lembaga. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan tindakan guru dalam menggali motivasi belajar dilakukan dengan tindakan penyampaian materi yang menarik yang memperoleh persentase tertinggi yaitu 100%. Tindakan ini memperoleh respon anak cenderung tergerak mengikuti kegiatan belajar sebanyak 63% dan respon anak terarah perhatiannya sebanyak 38%. Perkembangan aktual yang dilakukan guru cenderung melakukan pengajuan pertanyaan yang memperoleh persentase tertinggi yaitu 93%. Tindakan ini memperoleh respon anak cenderung menunjukkan pengetahuan dengan menyebutkan sebanyak 55%, dan respon anak menunjukkan pemahaman dengan menjelaskan sebanyak 38%. The purpose of this research is to describe the teacher's actions in an effort to explore learning motivation, actual development and children's responses when given these actions. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population used is kindergarten teachers in Malang City. The sample in the study was taken using purposive sampling technique as many as 40 teachers from 8 Kindergarten institutions in Malang City by considering the quality of learning in each institution. The results of the study indicate that the tendency of the teacher's actions in exploring learning motivation is carried out by delivering interesting material which gets the highest percentage, as much as 100%. This action obtained the response of children who tend to be moved to participate in learning activities as much as 63% and the response of children to their attention is as much as 38%. Then regarding the exploration of actual developments carried out by the teacher, it tends to ask questions that get the highest percentage, as much as 93%. This action obtains children's responses tend to show knowledge by mentioning as much as 55%, and children's responses show understanding by explaining as much as 38%.
