Abstract

Sholawat is worship that is light in its implementation but has great rewards, therefore it will be effective and efficient if sholawat is used as a medium for preaching. One of them is sholawat Rodad, because sholawat Rodad has its own uniqueness compared to other prayers. The purpose of this study is to explain how sholawat Rodad as a medium of da'wah. To obtain the results of this study the authors used qualitative methods with observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The results of this study state that every movement played by dancers has the meaning of da'wah, namely how a Muslim can maintain hablum minallah and hablum minannas so that the realization of a more prosperous life in the world and in the hereafter.

Abstract

The concept of integration between religion and culture is capable of producing new religious mosaics with local characteristics. As is the case with the Baayun Mulud Tradition from the Banjar Tribe, from a cultural context, the Baayun Mulud Tradition is a religious practice that is thick with the integration of Islamic values. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and literature based on relevant studies. The results of this study indicate that there is integration between religion and culture in the Baayun Mulud Tradition. The presence of Islam was able to change traditions that were originally closely related to the spirit of the unseen world into traditions that have Islamic elements, such as reciting shalawat poems addressed to the Prophet Muhammad. Meanwhile, culture is a form of practice for several Islamic values. [Konsep integrasi antara agama dan budaya mampu melahirkan mozaik-mozaik keagamaan baru yang berwatak dan bercorak lokal. Seperti halnya yang terjadi pada Tradisi Baayun Mulud dari Suku Banjar. Dari konteks budaya, Tradisi Baayun Mulud menjadi praktik keagamaan yang kental dengan integrasi nilai-nilai keislaman. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tekhnik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi serta studi pustaka berdasarkan kajian yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi integrasi antara agama dan budaya pada Tradisi Baayun Mulud. Hadirnya agama Islam mampu merubah tradisi yang awalnya erat dengan ruh alam ghaib menjadi tradisi yang mempunyai unsur-unsur keIslaman seperti pembacaan syair-syair shalawat yang ditujukan kepada Nabi Muhammad. Sedangkan budaya menjadi wujud praktik dari beberapa nilai keislaman.]

Abstract

Abstrak : Adanya ideologi, visi misi, latarbelakang pemilik media massa berpengaruh terhadap cara media dalam mengkonstruksi suatu realitas. Dalam memobilisasi publik, media massa sering menjadikan agama sebagai instrumennya. Menurut pandangan media, agama memiliki efek sosial politis yang tinggi, hal ini tentu tidak terlepas dari posisi dan tingkat pemahaman agama yang lazim dimiliki masyarakat. Baru-baru ini, tepatnya pada bulan November 2022 media massa digemparkan dengan kasus penistaan agama yang dilakukan oleh Sule. Dalam penelitian ini, Kompas.com adalah media yang dipilih sebagai objek penelitian. Sebab Kompas.com adalah media yang tidak hanya berfokus terhadap pemberitaan melalui media online tetapi juga pada Televisi. Selain itu, pemilik kompas.com adalah penganut agama Katolik. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui bagaimana agama dalam pemberitaan yang diterbitkan oleh Kompas.com, apakah bahasa agama memiliki kepentingan tertentu serta apakah media memberitaan dengan sudut yang berbeda terhadap kasus ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing dengan model Gamson dan Modigliani. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa framing Kompas.com adalah dengan memberikan porsi yang dominan terhadap agama. Selain itu, juga mengarah pada upaya membangun wacana yang didalamnya terdapat misi perdamaian umat, keberagaman agama, nilai-nilai Agama Islam, serta dimensi beragama. Abstract

The existence of a minor response given by the major community makes waria or transgender increasingly oppressed and marginalized. In addition, the injustice that applies in community law makes it difficult for waria to access various public facilities, one of which is religious. So that the space for the expression of his spirituality in the public sphere is limited. The purpose of this research is to find out the life story of transgender people in the Waria Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School, Yogyakarta, who became a weak and oppressed minority group and were then able to reinvent Islam. The method used is a qualitative-descriptive research. The data were analyzed using the theory of symbolic interactionism. This qualitative-descriptive study uses a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews with the five transgender students, observation, and document analysis. Data were processed using Miles and Huberman’s model and analyzed with symbolic interactionism theory. The results of the study show that the establishment of the Yogyakarta Al-Fatah Waria Islamic Boarding School is able to become a place that provides a safe space for transgender people to study and re-find their religion, namely Islam, in the midst of threats and discrimination that befell them in public spaces. Transgender people are given the freedom and flexibility to express their spirituality according to their individual convenience. In addition, it requires the role and ongoing support of several parties so that this Islamic boarding school continues to exist in the midst of public views that override the humanitarian side. This also includes the role of support as a mediator in resolving and maintaining transgender people in this Islamic Boarding School.
