Abstract

Christian theology has been referred as a criticism against consumerism. Yet, the position of some Christian traditions regarding economic life is quite ambivalent. On the one hand, some traditions show their followers the value of a simple lifestyle; on the other hand, some traditions drive them to be pioneers in business and industry, producing goods including luxurious ones which eventually promote extreme consummerism. In Indonesia, consumerism is as vast as in the West, but it is related more to the supply of imported commodities. Therefore, while a theological re-insistment on a simple lifestyle may not be helpful in the West, it is still relevant to the Indonesian context. A contextual economic theology does not only need to be critical ofconsumerism, but should stimulate productivity. The image of a morally responsible consumer interacting with morally responsible producers would be more appealing than that of an ascetic person from the pre-globalized era.

Abstract

AbstractThis article explores leadership paradigms employed in the Management and Leadership Training Program for Students (P2KMM) in Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. An evaluation of the leadership paradigm is important because it plays a determining role in whether a leader would be successful or failed ethically. Using post-colonial approach, this study focuses on the moral spirit acknowledged as the Duta Wacana Values, particularly the value of ‘Service to the World.’ As a part of the research, a fieldwork was carried out both by observation of 2017 P2KMM writing materials, as well as interviews with representatives of P2KMM committee and the student staff . The finding indicates that the said value tends to be overlooked in the UKDW leadership program for students. AbstrakArtikel ini adalah studi etika kepemimpinan dengan perspektif postkolonial. Yang diteliti adalah paradigma kepemimpinan yang digunakan dalam Program Pelatihan Kepemimpinan dan Manajemen Mahasiswa(P2KMM) di Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana. Pentingnya penilaian terhadap paradigma kepemimpinan terletak pada peran menentukan dari paradigm kepemimpinan dalam keberhasilan atau kegagalan etisseorang pemimpin. Menggunakan pendekatan poskolonial, artikel ini menyoroti serangkaian nilai-nilai moral yang diakui sebagai ‘Nilai-nilai Duta Wacana,’ khususnya nilai ‘Melayani Dunia.’ Sebagai bagian dari penelitian, dilakukan observasi terhadap materi P2KMM UKDW tahun 2017 dan wawancara terhadap perwakilan tim penyusun materi dan mahasiswa pendamping P2KMM. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ‘Melayani Sesama,’ cenderung terabaikan dalam program pembentukan kepemimpinan mahasiswa UKDW.

Abstract

This article compares the leadership model of Jesus with those of the formal prominent leaders in his time. Rooted in a deep spiritual relationship with his Father, and moved by a compassionate heart, Jesus’ leadership challenges today’s church leadership practices in Indonesia which is marked by either institutional centralization, absolute local autonomy, or traditionalism. Artikel ini membandingkan antara model kepemimpinan Yesus dengan model-model kepemimpinan para penguasa formal di zamannya. Abstract

This article relates technological developments, specifically artificial intelligence, to the theological concept of Imago Dei. Transhumanism dreams of technological progress that can overcome human biological limitations. The idea has implications for anthropology and theology. Can transhumans replace humans not only biologically but also ethically and spiritually? This question will be answered by borrowing Alistair McFadyen's theory of Imago Dei which understands this theological concept as a call to a participation in God's work that saves and transforms the world. If Imago Dei refers not to the original nature of humans that is fixed from the beginning, but to the possibility of its development in the future, then there is potential for alignment of transhumanism with Imago Dei theology. Moreover, Imago Dei can make an ethical contribution and eschatological vision for the development of human enhancement technology so that it can help to result in the improvement of the common good and the salvation of all creation..

Abstract

This paper examines the perception of transparency among the Church Councils with an ethical-theological analysis and an analysis of financial accountability. The background of the problem is that there are different perceptions among the congregations regarding church financial accountability. These differences reflect differences in theological ethical content. The data collection method used is a mix-method, which uses quantitative tools by distributing questionnaires and in-depth interviews with several church assemblies. The final number of respondents is 167 church assemblies from two church groups, namely the Indonesian Christian Church of the Central Java Regional Synod (Gereja Kristen Indonesia Sinode Wilayah Jateng/GKI SW Jateng) Region of Solo and the Javanese Christian Churches (Gereja-gereja Kristen Jawa/GKJ) Region of North Yogyakarta. The result is a moral obligation is proven to have a significant effect on transparency and intention to disclose financial information to the congregation. This moral obligation to make church finances transparent is based on the church community or congregation members. The ethical drive mainly comes from the community. Theologically, this result on the one hand confirms the existence of the church as a community of faith that drives the formation of values. On the other hand, it presents an opportunity for the church to make a program that formed a personal value of transparency in the Church Council. The research contribution is to the development of the Church Council's guidance on financial accountability and the development of theological ethical values.

Abstract

Keterbatasan website fasilkom UNSIKA yang belum menyediakan tempat pengumpulan tugas akhir MBKM menjadi salah satu kendala yang dialami oleh beberapa mahasiswa sehingga menimbulkan kesulitan bagi sebagian besar mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem pengumpulan tugas akhir yang efektif, efisien, dan mudah digunakan. Sistem ini akan menggunakan teknologi REST API yang memungkinkan komunikasi antara aplikasi dan server, sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengumpulkan tugas akhir secara online dan dosen dapat melakukan penilaian dengan mudah dan akurat. Rancang bangun REST API ini dibuat dengan menggunakan metode Agile eXtreme Programming (XP) yang memungkinkan pengembangan dengan cepat dan adaptif, serta memberikan fleksibilitas dalam menghadapi perubahan kebutuhan yang mungkin terjadi selama proses pengembangan. Agile eXtreme Programming ini meliputi planning, design, coding dan testing. Planning (perencanaan) dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan serta menentukan fitur-fitur yang akan diimplementasikan serta membuat daftar backlog yang berisi user stories yang diperlukan. Design (perancangan) dilakukannya rancangan struktur dan arsitektur REST API berdasarkan kebutuhan yang telah diidentifikasi kemudian dilanjutkan membuat desain use case diagram, entity relationship diagram, dan activity diagram. Coding (pengkodean) yaitu membuat pengkodean atau implementasi REST API sesuai dengan desain yang telah dibuat dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman java dan framework spring untuk mengembangkan REST API. Testing (pengujian) dilakukannya uji coba dengan menggunakan black box testing dan white box testing seperti pengujian unit, pengujian integrasi, dan pengujian sistem kemudian melakukan debugging dan perbaikan jika ditemukan kesalahan atau bug. Hasil dari penelitian ini menghasilkan dokumentasi API yang dapat digunakan untuk mempermudah pengembang dan pengguna dalam mengintegrasikan API dengan multiplatform.
