Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self disclosure and interpersonal communication of second degree students of STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan in 2021. This research method used an analytical research design using a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study 86 respondents with the sampling technique is total sampling. The instruments used were a questionnaire, a standard self-disclosure questionnaire adopted from the sixty item self disclosure questionnaire (JSDQ) by Sidney M. Jourard and Paul Lasakow (1958) modified by previous researchers Tokan (2013) and an interpersonal communication questionnaire. The results of this study obtained self disclosure categories of high 55 people (64%) and low 31 people (36%), good categories of interpersonal communication 57 people (66.3%) and less 29 people (33.7%) with the Chi square test results obtained value The p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05) indicates that there is a relationship between self disclosure and interpersonal communication of second level students of the STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan Nurse Study Program in 2021 which means that the higher the student's self-disclosure, the better the interpersonal communication will be. Open manner to telling attitudes and opinions, tastes and interests, work or studies, money, personality, and body will increase students' self-disclosure.

Abstract

Introduction: Elementary school children play a very important role in the development stages of children in their middle and final stages of childhood. Children's emotional mental health can also influence their own future, and have a big impact on family, friends, teachers and society, because Parents need to supervise their children when using smartphones. The duration of smartphone use for children aged 3-S years is 1 hour per day and for children aged 6-18 years is 2 hours per day. Method:The design of this research is a quantitative descriptive design using a cross sectional approach. The samples for this research are 71 students using a total sampling technique. The measuring tool for this research used the SDQ (Strength & Difficulties Questionnaire) questionnaire. There are 5 categories or aspects of behavior that are measured to detect emotional mental health, namely emotional problems, behavioral problems, hyperactivity, peer problems, and prosocial, each category has 3 divisions, Normal Borderline, Abnormal. Result:The research results obtain are Normal 4 (5.6%), Borderline 62 (87.4%). Abnormal are 5 (7.0%). Conclusion:It is hoped that this research will provide input for elementary school children so that they can adapt to their environment. Parents also play a very important role for children so that children do not become addicted to smartphones.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah kondisi tekanan darah sistolik ≥140 mmHg dan/atau diastolik ≥90 mmHg yang menjadi masalah kesehatan global serius, menyebabkan sekitar 9,4 juta kematian setiap tahun akibat penyakit jantung dan stroke. Di Indonesia, hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko utama penyakit kardiovaskular, terutama stroke. Selain kepatuhan pengobatan, penerapan gaya hidup sehat seperti pola makan rendah garam dan lemak, aktivitas fisik rutin, serta berhenti merokok sangat penting dalam mengendalikan tekanan darah, dan keberhasilannya banyak dipengaruhi oleh dukungan keluarga. Dukungan keluarga, baik berupa emosional, informasional, instrumental, maupun penghargaan, terbukti meningkatkan motivasi pasien untuk patuh berobat dan menjalankan pola hidup sehat. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa dukungan keluarga berhubungan signifikan dengan penerapan gaya hidup sehat (OR = 2,882; p = 0,018) dan perilaku pencegahan stroke (OR = 3,875; p = 0,002). Artinya, semakin baik dukungan keluarga, semakin besar peluang pasien menjalani hidup sehat dan terhindar dari komplikasi stroke. Dengan demikian, dukungan keluarga berperan penting dalam pengelolaan hipertensi. Edukasi dan pendampingan keluarga secara berkelanjutan, didukung kerja sama dengan tenaga kesehatan, diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dan menurunkan risiko komplikasi.
