Abstract

Mathematics is a universal science that underlies the development of modern technology. In the reality, mathematics learning activities have a higher level of learning difficulty compared to other subjects, especially in fractional operations. This can be seen when the learning process takes place, the lack of interest and attention of students towards learning mathematics, students passive interaction with the teacher and the use of conventional methods as learning methods. This study aims to determine the types of learning difficulties in mathematics on the material of fractional arithmetic operations and the improvement efforts made by teacher in class III SDN 3 Terong Tawah in overcoming students' learning difficulties. This research is a qualitative research that apply descriptive method. The research was conducted at SDN 3 Terong Tawah with the research subjects with the research subjects being 6 third grade students who had difficulty learning mathematics and who scored below the KKM. Data collection techniques using diagnostic tests, interviews and documentation. Data analysis of Interactive Analysis Method. The results of the study showed that students had difficulty learning the material for fractional arithmetic operations. The types of mathematical difficulties experienced by students are difficulties in reading and understanding the meaning of the questions, difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts in fractional counting operations material, and students having difficulty in processing skills in working on fractional arithmetic operations. The improvement efforts used by the third grade teacher of SDN 3 Terong Tawah are by holding special tutoring, repeating material that has not been understood by students and making improvements or remedial to students who get scores below the KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers used in implementing literacy programs during the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers act as trainers in the implementation of literacy programs, besides that teachers also act as adapters and developers so that teachers are not only curriculum implementers but teachers can align the curriculum and have the authority to design the curriculum by determining the strategies used to measure the level of success. This type of research is quantitative research with the research design used is survey research. The results of the instrument test with construct validity through expert opinion found that there were several statements that had to be corrected in the language structure so that this instrument could be declared worthy of taking data on the teacher's role in implementing literacy programs. The subjects of the study were class teachers in Cluster V Gunungsari, West Lombok as many as 31 people. The results obtained are the implementation of the literacy literacy program has a percentage of 82.80 percent, the implementation of the numeracy literacy program has a percentage of 82.73 percent, the implementation of the scientific literacy program has a percentage of 80.11 percent, and the application of digital literacy programs has a percentage of 87.43 percent. It can be seen that teachers are more involved in implementing digital literacy programs during the Covid-19 pandemic, this is because digital literacy programs have a higher percentage than other literacy programs. This means that teachers also implement literacy, scientific literacy, and numeracy literacy programs, but the implementation is through digital media because during this pandemic there are obstacles to face-to-face learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties experienced by teacher in implementing the 2013 curriculum. The research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection using interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The subjects in this study were all teachers in SDN 1 Sikur. Based on the result of the analysis, it was found that the difficulties experienced by teachers at SDN 1 Sikur, among others is complicated assessment, the appication of a scientific approach, especially in reasoning and communicating, was not carried out properly, the difficulty of combining various subjects into one integrated theme, and the lack of fasilities and infrastructure. Efforts made to overcome these difficulties include participating in training/workshop on the implementation of the curriculum 2013, sharing information with colleagues or professions regarding the implementation of the curriculum 2013, working on student assessments in between non teaching schedules.
