The shoot auction tradition is a tradition that is carried out during a wedding reception in Seri Dalam Village, Ogan Ilir Regency which has been attached for generations. This study aims to determine the process and meaning of symbols from the shooting auction tradition in the village of Seri Dalam Ogan Ilir. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach using semiotic analysis from Charles Sander Pierce. This study explains that the wedding reception activity in Seri Dalam Village, Ogan Ilir Regency has a shooting auction culture, namely the bargaining process to get the highest vote or price for the goods offered by the family holding the celebration. The results of the study reveal that in Charles Sander Pierce’s semiotics, it was found that the price auction activity means those who bid with the highest price will be given rewards, namely singing on stage. Goods auctioned in the from of gifts in the from of mukenah, sarong and money. The symbolic meaning of mukenah is that there is a great responsibility as a from of a husband who is ready to teach and guide his wife in matters of religion. While the meaning of the symbol of the sarong is interpreted as covering the genitals in front of the prospective bride. This tradition is held at night aiming to help each other with relatives who are holding a celebration. And this tradition is carried out continously, when the celebration events is over, the family who has carried out the celebration will return the auction as well. Because the purpose of this shooting auction is to ease the burden of the owner’s cost and establish friendship. And the meaning of the symbol of this tradition is an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT. Keywords: Tradition, Shoot Auction, Semiotics Charles Sander Pierce.

This study entitled "Persuasive Communication Between Counselors and PLHIV in VCT Services at Puskesmas Dempo Palembang".Puskesmas Dempo is one of the health centers in the city of Palembang that provides VCT (Voluntary Counselling and Testing) services for people living with HIV. VCT (Voluntary Counselling and Testing) plays a role in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS clients. VCT (Voluntary Counselling and Testing) activities are carried out to provide information and thoughts by a counselor to the counselee or patient to inform, change attitudes and exchange opinions for a better direction. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of interpersonal communication that occurs between the counselor at Pusekesmas Dempo and PLHIV. And what obstacles are faced by counselors when counseling with patients. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Sources of primary data by interviewing counselors and counselor assistants at Puskesmas Dempo Palembang and four people living with HIV (PLHIV). Secondary data sources are in the form of documents from the Dempo Palembang Health Center, books, journals, photos, and voice recordings. The theory used is the theory of social penetration where there is a process of openness and intimacy of a person in establishing relationships with other people through certain stages. The result of this study is that the communication that occurs between the counselor and PLWV goes well and effectively where the patient feels comfortable to share information about himself, take medication, and counsel regularly. And counselors also provide encouragement and motivation for the development of patients who are detected with HIV so that they do not give up in living life and can change their lifestyle towards a healthier one.

Organizational communication is a major alternative in establishing cooperation within the scope of the company's organization. With organizational communication, messages and information are more easily conveyed and understood by both parties concerned. This study aims to describe and explain the important role of personal organizational communication in the Finance Division of PT. Taspen Palembang in collaborating with the Regional Government. In this study using descriptive research methods with qualitative methods. The source of this research data comes from observations and interviews with informants. The secondary data sources come from literature studies, the company's official website, and official document archives. In addition, a theoretical approach is also carried out to facilitate researchers in reviewing problems, the approach uses phenomenological investigations. The results of this study indicate that the Finance Division of PT. Taspen Palembang uses formal and informal communication in collaborating with local governments. With this organizational communication, various obstacles that occur can be overcome, especially in the problem of paying premium bills by the Regional Government and KPPN. Apart from providing formal notification or billing, the Finance Division of PT. Taspen Palembang also communicates intensively through interpersonal communication from staff level employees to Regional Leaders

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi komunikasi interpesonal dan hambatan-hambatan ketua adat dalam melestarikan tradisi lisan. Dengan metodelogi penelitian jenis penelitian field research dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi langsung, wawancara kepada beberapa anggota lembaga adat, dokumentasi dan analisis data. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori strategi komunikasi interpersonal menurut Effendy. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu strategi komunikasi interpesonal strategi komunikasi interpersonal ketua adat di keluarahan paku sengkunyit berdasarkan pada teori Effendy, yaitu adanya keterbukaan anatara ketua adat dan masyarakat setempat, adanya empati saling memahami antara ketua adat, masyarakat dan pesan yang disampaikan adanya perilaku suportif (Suportiveness) dengan adanya komunikasi tersebut dapat terlihat adanya bentuk saling mendukung, adanya perilaku positif (Positiviness) dalam hal ini perasaan positif akan berguna dan bermanfaat sebagai ke efektifan antar komunikasi, dan Kesamaan (Equality) Efek dari pesan yang disampaikan oleh komunikator terjadi dengan komunikan sebagai tujuan komunikasi adalah adanya kesamaan. Faktor penghambat dalam strategi komunikasi interpersonal ketua adat di Kelurahan Paku Sengkunyit, yaitu gangguan semantik, berupa tradisi lisan yang disampaikan tentu tidak semua pendengar paham akan maknanya, kepentingan yang berkaitan kebudayaan maka ia akan mencari hal terkait kebudayaan daerah, komunikator mengabaikan komunikasi yang tidak sesuai dengan motifnya karena komunikator lebih fokus pada motivasinya, dan perasangka salah satu rintangan dan juga halangan terbesar dalam aktivitas suatu komunikasi.

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang “Mencari Keberkahan Di Klenteng Tridarma Gie Hap Bio Komunikasi Ritual Dalam Tradisi fang sheng (Studi Etnografi Komunikasi Pada Tradisi Fang sheng Di Klenteng Tri Darma Gie Hap Bio Kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan)”. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi etnografi holistic. Kemudian menggunakan teori interaksi simbolik dan etnografi komunikasi. Data diperoleh melalui teknik observasi dan wawancara dengan informan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Proses pelaksanaan terdapat dua tata cara dalam tradisi fang sheng, yakni secara individu dan dipimpin oleh biksu ataupun pandita. Tindakan Pengalaman komunikasi ritual dalam tradisi fang sheng terdapat dua bentuk tindakan komunkasi yakni komunikasi verbal dan non verbal. Etika dalam tradisi fang sheng terdapat beberapa larangan dan anjuran seperti hewan-hewan yang akan dibeli, tidak boleh dibeli sebelum hari pelaksanaan, tidak diperbolehkan untuk menangkap, memakan hewan yang telah mereka bebaskan. Kemudian hewan yang habitatnya di perairan sangat dianjurkan untuk dilepaskan di sungai yang mengalir. Upaya dalam pelestarian tradisi fang sheng dibutuhkan kesadaran diri sendiri, keyakinan dari masing masing umat, media massa, pelaksanaan di alam terbuka, keluarga, serta sering mengikuti ceramah. Orang tua memiliki peran penting mendidik anaknya supaya mampu memberikan contoh yang baik terhadap anak-anaknya.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya pernikahan anak di bawah umur sebagai isu sosial yang berdampak pada berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan dan kesejahteraan anak. Masyarakat Desa Lubuk Dalam mengalami penurunan angka pernikahan anak dalam lima tahun terakhir, namun praktik ini masih ditemukan dalam beberapa kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola komunikasi keluarga yang berperan dalam pencegahan pernikahan anak, dengan fokus pada adaptasi komunikasi antara anggota keluarga. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Akomodasi Komunikasi (Communication Accommodation Theory/CAT) pertama kali dikembangkan oleh Howard Giles pada tahun 1970-an, yang menekankan bagaimana penyesuaian gaya komunikasi dapat meningkatkan efektivitas interaksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang telah diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan beberapa tahapan reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan komunikasi anak, seperti penggunaan gaya komunikasi yang empatik dan dialog terbuka, berhasil membangun kesadaran anak akan pentingnya pendidikan dan risiko pernikahan dini. Namun, tekanan ekonomi dan norma budaya yang kuat menjadi tantangan dalam mempertahankan pola komunikasi yang mendukung. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan komunikasi yang adaptif dan kolaboratif dalam upaya pencegahan pernikahan anak di Desa Lubuk Dalam.
