<![CDATA[Introduction: Hand sanitizer is one of the antiseptic ingredients in the form of a gel that is often used by the public as a practical hand washing medium. One of the plants that can be used as traditional medicine is the peel of the Bali Orange (Citrus maxima Merr). This study aims to determine the presence of antiseptic activity in the hand sanitizer formula of the ethanolic extract of the grapefruit peel. The grapefruit peel extraction process was carried out by maceration using 70% ethanol solvent and made into a hand sanitizer gel using Carbomer, Tea, Nipagin, Propylenglikol and Aquadest, made IV formulas with concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% active ingredients 2%. Organoleptic test, dispersion diameter, pH, and homogeneity were carried out. The results of this study indicate that the ethanolic extract of the peel of the grapefruit (citrus maxima merr) can function as an antiseptic, a concentration of 1% has the largest inhibition zone compared to the three concentrations. The group of chemical compounds contained in the peel extract of grapefruit (citrus maxima merr) are flavonoids, tannins. Pendahuluan: Hand sanitizer merupakan salah satu bahan antiseptik berupa gel yang sering digunakan masyarakat sebagai media pencuci tangan yang praktis. Salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat tradisional adalah kulit Jeruk Bali (citrus maxima merr). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya aktivitas antiseptik didalam formula hand sanitizer ekstrak etanol kulit Jeruk Bali. Proses ekstraksi kulit Jeruk Bali dilakukan dengan maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 70% dan dibuat menjadi gel hand sanitizer menggunakan Carbomer, Tea, Nipagin, Propylenglikol dan Aquadest, dibuat IV formula dengan kosentrasi bahan aktif 0,5%, 1%, dan 1,5%, 2%. dilakukan Uji Organoleptis, Diameter daya sebar, Ph, dan Homogenitas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ekstrak etanol kulit Jeruk Bali (citrus maxima merr) dapat berfungsi sebagai antiseptik , konsentrasi 1% memiliki zona hambat paling besar dibandingkan dengan ketiga konsentrasi tersebut.
