Abstract

Working at Height is very common activity in Shipyard. Working at Height is an activity which carried out by people or workers at least at 1.8 meters high from the ground floor or bottom. Working at height has several risks that could threaten the health of the workforce, including falls, being hit by material from above, hypoxia, decompression, sinusitis, visual disturbances, and mental and psychological disorders. Therefore, Managing Working at Height is very crucial and need a special attention from Top Management of the Company or Organization. PT. Karimun Sembawang Shipyard has a policy to manage the workforce which involve on Working at height to protect them from all the risk while they are working at height. The purpose of this research is to analyse the Management system on Working at Height adopted by PT. Karimun Sembawang Shipyard compere with Indonesian Regulation and the Expertise perspective. The Result of this research showing that the Management on Working at Height adopted by PT. Karimun Sembawang Shipyard is more stringent or above the Indonesian Regulation requirement as stated in Permenaker No.9 year 2016. Therefore it can be take as a sample for other companies to comply the similar policy on the Management of Working at Height.

Abstract

Gadget adalah suatu peranti elektronik yang memiliki fungsi praktis dalam mempermudah pekerjaan manusia. Berkembangnya teknologi membuat gadget semakin berkembang pesat menjangkau hampir seluruh lapisan masyarakat dan berbagai usia. Penggunaan yang berlebihan dari gadget tentunya memberikan dampak negatif khususnya terhadap tumbuh kembang anak. Di era digital ini gadget sudah sulit dipisahkan dari keseharian anak padahal anak-anak memilki fase pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang kritis terhadap lingkungan disekitarnya. Oleh sebab itu diadakan suatu kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan menambah wawasan dan rasa antisipatif orang tua terhadap dampak penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan oleh anak khususnya anak usia dini. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan sosialisasi kepada para orang tua di Desa Pongkar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 19 Juli 2022 di Aula Posyandu Desa Pongkar Kecamatan Tebing dengan jumlah psesrta yang hadir berjumlah 19 orang. Adapun dampak gadget berpengaruh pada perkembangan kognitif, mototrik, fisik, emosi, sosial, bahasa, dan seksual anak dimasa pertumbuhannya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pemaham peserta terkait materi sebesar 94,7% dimana hasil ini didapat dari penyebaran kuesioner feedback kegiatan. Diharapkan dari kegiatan ini orang tua semakin melek teknologi guna mengontrol penggunaan gadget oleh anak.A gadget is an electronic device with a practical function in facilitating human work. Technology development has caused gadgets to grow rapidly, reaching almost all levels of society and all ages. Overuse of gadgets certainly has a negative impact, particularly on the growth and development of children. In this digital era, gadgets are difficult to separate from children's daily lives, even though children have a critical growth and development phase in the surrounding environment. Therefore, a community service activity was carried out to add insight and anticipatory feelings for parents regarding the impact of excessive use of gadgets by children, especially in early childhood. This Community Service (PkM) activity was carried out using counselling and outreach methods to parents in Pongkar. This activity was carried out on July 19 2022, at the Posyandu Hall in Pongkar Village, Tebing District, with 19 participants attending. The impact of gadgets affects the cognitive, motor, physical, emotional, social, language, and sexual development of children during their growth. According to the feedback questionnaires distributed during the activity, 94.7% of the participants understood the material. It is hoped that from this activity, parents will become more technology literate to control the use of gadgets by children.
