Abstract

The NOC (Network Operation Center) Division is highly dependent on the availability of internet access in carrying out its duties to monitor and maintain the network remotely. Therefore, the absence of adequate internet access will determine the performance of the work performed by the NOC division. However, problems often occur on computer networks or the internet that can hinder the work done by the NOC division, these problems include, such as the process of uploading or downloading files from the server feeling slow, unable to send emails smoothly, connections often experiencing time-out, There is a long network downtime, as well as traffic congestion on the network which can reduce network reliability. To solve this problem, one solution that can be done is to implement load balancing and failover mechanisms on the network using a MikroTik router. This study aims to design a load balancing scheme using the per connection classifier (PCC) method to overcome traffic congestion problems on the network. The research was conducted using field research methods using observation and interview techniques which were conducted from August to December 2020. The results showed that the application of the load balance technique on the xMikrotik router with the PCC (Per Connection Classifier) method can separate the internet connection through the two available ISP lines so that it can solve the problem of traffic buildup on one of the ISP links to reduce latency and improve existing network performance.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process during the pandemic is where schools must continue to deliver material even though it is online because students study at home. The teacher's learning process still uses a conventional learning system, which is dominated by text and reading, the delivery of material like this causes students to be less enthusiastic and difficult to understand the material being taught. Multimedia that supports interactive-based learning is currently growing, so it can be an option for schools to build interactive learning media. Multimedia can create dynamic and interactive presentations by combining text, graphics, animation, audio, and video images. The research aims to produce interactive multimedia learning energy changes. The method used in conducting this research is a field study with interview and observation data collection techniques. The results are in the form of interactive animation applications for learning energy changes which are expected to increase understanding of the material as well as facilitate the teaching and learning process during the online learning period.Proses belajar mengajar selama era pandemik dimana sekolah harus tetap menyampaikan materi walaupun dilakukan secara daring karena siswa belajar di rumah. Proses pembelajaran para guru masih menggunakan sistem pembelajaran secara konvensional, yang didominasi teks dan bacaan, penyampaian materi seperti ini menyebabkan siswa kurang semangat dan sulit memahami materi yang diajarkan. Multimedia yang mendukung pembelajaran berbasis interaktif semakin berkembang saat ini, sehingga dapat menjadi pilihan untuk sekolah membangun sebuah media belajar interaktif. Multimedia dapat menciptakan presentasi yang dinamis dan interaktif dengan mengkombinasikan teks, grafik, animasi, audio dan gambar video. Tujuan penelitian untuk menghasilkan multimedia interaktif pembelajaran perubahan energi. Metode yang digunakan dalam melakukan penelitian ini adalah studi lapangan dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian berupa aplikasi animasi interaktif pembelajaran perubahan energi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman materi juga mempermudah proses belajar mengajar selama masa belajar daring.
