Abstract

Abstrak Dalam proses pembelajaran, seorang pendidik sering kali tidak memperhatikan latar belakang pendidikan peserta didik. Semua dipandang dan diperlakukan sama. Banyak pendidik yang belum mempertimbangkan pentingnya latar belakang pendidikan dalam keberhasilan belajar. Hal ini terjadi diduga karena terbatasnya literatur tentang latar belakang pendidikan. Untuk itu penulisan artikel ini dimaksudkan mengupas teori yang mendasari latar belakang pendidikan. Berdasarkan pembahsan disimpulkan bahwa teori transfer dan transformasi belajar merupakan teori yang dipandang relevan untuk menjelaskan pemahaman tentang latar belakang pendidikan. Abstract In the learning process, an educator often does not pay attention to the educational background of students. Everyone is seen and treated the same. Many educators have not considered the importance of educational background in successful learning. This is presumably due to the limited literature on educational background. For this reason, the purpose of writing this article is to explore the theory that underlies the educational background. Based on the discussion, it is concluded that the theory of transfer and transformation of learning is a theory that is considered relevant to explain the understanding of the educational background.
