Abstract

Budi Darma University is one of the private colleges in North Sumatra, Indonesia. To make this campus even better, a campus ambassador was chosen who would later be assigned as student representatives to promote the campus to the community and also as an icon that could have a better impact on the campus environment. Campus ambassadors themselves are active students at the campus who are selected based on predetermined criteria according to the needs of the campus. In the process of selecting a campus ambassador to get more optimal results, a decision support system is needed. In this study using the simple additive weighting (SAW) method as decision support in selecting campus ambassadors.

Abstract

The best graduates are pride or people who are considered capable of selling their soft skills or hard skills after completing their Diploma III (D-III) or Starata 1 (S-1) education. The best graduate degrees selected are obtained from several criteria, such as the Grade Point Average (GPA), Organization, Achievement, Intermediate Semester / Corrective Examination, and Attitude during their education at a university. In determining the best graduate students, sometimes obstacles arise, causing difficulty in determining the best graduates. Therefore, to determine the best graduate, each alternative must have criteria. Which one, Each criterion has a weight that has been determined individually and is carried out by the completion process using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method for the ranking process. The highest score or ranking will be used as an alternative recommendation that will get the title of the best graduate .

Abstract

In the Sudirejo-I Subdistrict, an election for the best neighborhood head will be held every year, this is intended as a reward for the neighborhood head for his duties in his area and is expected to be a motivation for each neighborhood head. Generally, the selection of the best kepling is done by selecting several neighborhood heads based on several criteria determined by the kelurahan and the election results are approved by the lurah. So far, the kelurahan selects criteria that have been determined manually and is quite time-consuming, the results obtained are also less than optimal. Based on the problems described above, a Decision Support System (SPK) is needed that can help with the problem of selecting the best neighborhood head in the Sudirejo-I Village because in a decision support system an effective and optimal decision will be produced. Many methods can be used in decision support systems, one of which is the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method. The ARAS method is a multi-criteria decision-making method based on the concept of ranking using a utility degree by comparing the overall index value of each alternative to the overall optimal alternative index value. In its implementation, the decision support system in selecting the best splitter in the Sudirejo-I Village by implementing the ARAS method is considered very effective because it is able to produce a ranking of the value of each attribute, so that the selection results are more systematic and objective
