Abstract

Analisa adalah merupakan suatu proses merinci terhadap objek dengan alat bantu tertentu, kedalam beberapa komponen yang saling berhubungan dengan menilai dan mengetahui perbedaan dari kedua objek tersebut yang berbeda. Dalam proses pencarian ada beberapa algortima yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang sedang dihadapi. Adapun permasalahannya yaitu dalam proses pencarian judul buku pada perpustakaan Perpustakaan STMIK Budidarma Medan dimana proses pencarian yang dilakukan masih membutuhkan waktu yang sangat lama. String matching adalah proses pencarian semua kemunculan query yang selanjutnya disebut pattern kedalam string yang lebih panjang (teks). Algortima adalah urutan atau langkah-langkah yang disusun secara sistematis untuk myelesaikan sebuah masalah. Adapun algortima yang digunakan dalam menyelesaiakan masalah tersebut yaitu Algortima boyer moore dan algortima knuth morris pratt (KMP). Algortima boyer moore adalah sebuah algortima pencarian yang dimana proses atau cara pencariannnya dilakukan dari kanan pattern sehingga hasil pecarian lebih cepat ditemukan. Algortima Knuth morris pratt (KMP) adalah sebuah algoritma pencarian string yang bekerja dengan memanfaatkan pergeseran pattern dalam teks dari sebeleh kiri kekanan dalam melakukan pencocokan pattern dalam teks. Analisa dalam perbandingan dari kedua algortima pada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui algoritma yang mana proses pencarian dan cara kerjanya lebih cepat dengan memanfaatkan metode perbandingan eksponensial (MPE) sebagai metode pengambilan keputusan dalam menentukan hasil perbandingannya.

Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi komputer khususnya dalam pengiriman pesan chatting sangat pesar. Hal ini tentu membutuhkan keamanan yang baik agar aplikasi chatting yang digunakan mampu menjamin pesan yang dikirim tidak bisa dibaca oleh orangorang yang tidak berkepentingan dengan pesan tersebut. Pada penelitian ini digunakan algoritma RC-5 untuk mengamankan pesan chatting Client dan Server. Aplikasi yang dirancang melakukan enkripsi dan dekripsi dengan menerapkan algoritma RC5 (Rivest Code-5).

Abstract

Data is important and has a very important role in the activities of computer use. In general, the size of data that is at this time has a very large size. So at the time of sending large data through the network would lead to waste in the use of network resources when the data is accessed by other users and make the storage media more efficient in storing the data. In this study used J-BIT compression algorithm to reduce the size of text files, thus reducing the file size on storage media.

Abstract

Bidikmisi scholarship is a government program to help prospective new students who are academically capable and economically incapable. The Bidikmisi scholarship is a form of tuition assistance and living expenses. Starting in 2018 Budi Darma University began accepting new students through the bidikmisi scholarship path, admission of new students through the bidikmisi path must meet the requirements set by the government. Determination of whether or not a prospective new student is a recipient of bidikmisi based on report cards, school performance, results of selection tests and interviews. During this time the organizers and managers of bidikmisi at Budi Darma University have had difficulty determining prospective students who are truly eligible to receive bidikmisi scholarships in addition to the very limited quota and the large number of prospective students receiving bidikmisi scholarships as well as the value of each criteria for prospective students receiving bidikmisi which is almost the same or similar to one another. To make it easier to determine prospective students receiving the Bidikmisi scholarship, the K-Medoids algorithm is used. K-Medoids algorithm is one of the algorithms in data mining to group data based on the closest criteria value

Abstract

Attendance is one of the most important repetitive transactions because it is related to the productivity of employees and employees and is one of the controlling indicators Human resources (HR) which aim to increase the potential of human resources as well used in the framework of efficiency. Current technological developments allow making a system that can assist humans in recognizing a digital image. One of them, a field that is currently being developed is pattern recognition. This technology identifies the special physical characteristics of a person. An example of pattern recognition is an example of face recognition, iris recognition, fingerprint recognition (finger recognition), and others. The face is part of the human body to be the focus of attention in social interactions. The face has a very important role that can show someone's identity; therefore a face can be used as a part of the human body that is used as an indication of knowing someone or face recognition. Attendance is an administrative act regarding attendance and absence attendance of employees. In this facial recognition, research uses a camera to capturing someone's face was then compared to the face that had previously been stored in a specific database. Broadly speaking, the process of facial recognition is the webcam camera captures the face. Then we get an R (read) value, G (Green), B (Blue). Using pre-processing, cropped, RGB to grayscale. After the Grayscale process is carried out, the face processing stage is carried out using the eigenface method. In this eigenface method, there are several core stages namely: converting faces to matrices, calculating Flat Vector averages, determining values eigenface, and perform the face identification process by looking for the eigenface value approaching. One of the ways of facial recognition can be developed into an application absence that can be applied in companies to prevent manipulation of absences by employees or employees.

Abstract

Kerawan Dagang BUMDes has long been established and has several superior products in the form of handicrafts in the form of flowers made from plastic waste. With this superior product, trading voluntary villages should be able to further develop BUMDes for the welfare of their village communities. At present, the handicraft is still placed in a shop window, so it is very limiting for people who want to see it. Some have used social media to sell these handicraft products. This has a positive impact because the reach of people who can see becomes wider. But the display of photos of the product is less attractive because it still uses makeshift cameras and does not use techniques for taking photos of products such as lighting that is less than optimal. With the dedication to the community with the theme of the Basic Technique of Taking and Processing Handicraft Product Photography at the Tanjung Morawa Cluster Business Village Ownership, it is expected to increase sales of these handicraft products.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar yang dialami mahasiswa merupakan suatu kondisi yang berdampak pada kemampuan pribadi mahasiswa tersebut dalam menguasai tujuan pembelajaran yang hendak dicapai. Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan kesulitan belajar yang dialami mahasiswa masih sangat rendah, karena di dalam pembelajaran pada masa covid-19 ini, interaksi antara dosen dan mahasiswa sangat sulit, terlebih dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran elektronik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar yang dialami mahasiswa dengan menggunakan model giving question and getting answer sebagai aplikasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa Universitas Budi Darma Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Pengumpulan data untuk penelitian ini berupa hasil observasi, tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model giving guestion and getting answer sebagai aplikasi pembelajaran dapat membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang lebih baik serta membantu mempermudah mahasiswa memahami matematika dalam proses pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi.

Abstract

Admission of new students is an administrative process for prospective students in educational institutions. This process is usually carried out every year. Imelda University Medan is one of the universities that still uses manual system procedures in selecting the right majors for prospective new students. This study aims to design a data mining system application for recommendations for new student majors at Imelda University Medan, using the Selft Organizing Maps (SOM) method to make it easier for prospective new students in the process of selecting the right department. For application design, the Visual Basic 2008 programming language is used, this system is made flexible so that if at any time the criteria used can be adjusted according to needs. The results of this study indicate that the SOM method can produce recommendations for the right majors for prospective students at the University of Imelda Medan. . Thus the system is expected to be able to assist in the activities of department recommendations for prospective new students at the University of Imelda Medan.Keywords: New Students, Data mining, Selft Organizing Maps (SOM)
