Abstract

Returning together with family and community is a dream for people who experience conflict caused by various socio-religious problems. The rolling cases between adherents of Sunni-Shi’i religious ideologies have found common ground after the conflict. Various efforts to create a peaceful and fairness require the roles of religious leaders, community leaders, and the government. The academic problem that will be explained is to unite views on conflicting groups in realizing the harmonious life of the Sampang community. The method used is depth interviews with people involved in the conflict, especially in Karang Gayam and Blu'uran villages. Data analysis was carried out using the theory of reconciliation to realize the normalization of people's lives as a form of social acceptance. The Sampang community wish for a peaceful life, mutual respect, and appreciation in social life. Normalization efforts can be carried out with a reconciliation approach, namely; top-down and bottom-up. The Sampang community is open to accepting the agreed agreement. Thus, normal life can be realized. Conflict is a necessity. However, reconciliation is a must to create a normal life such as peace, mutual respect, and respect for one another

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the cultural and religious influences and their opportunities and challenges in the Chinese-Indonesian public diplomacy perspective. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach by taking literature review as main source of data, and interviews with several religious leaders and community leaders related as secondary sources. The author finds that culture and religion have influenced the practice of Chinese-Indonesian public diplomacy (in terms of art, culture, tradition and practice of diplomacy). Admiral Cheng Hoo holds major roles in the spread of Islam that time. The roles of non-state actors are crucial when conducting people-to-people approach: as dialogue and cooperation partner, and as promotor.

Abstract

To increase the economic and social independence, various efforts were carried out, it includes by providing assistance to the community. This research aims to provide assistance to the community in the village of Jampet, Bojonegoro Regency, by utilizing local banana assets for making Jenang Jepipet as an original snack made from bananas from Jampet villages. The collaborative and partnership efforts built between the universities together with the Jampet villagers as a manifestation of the practice of university community engagement. By using Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, this research is a model of community assistance and empowerment to be more actively involved in utilizing all the potential and strength of assets owned by the community to create economic and social welfare. The results of this research, the community can take advantage of the opportunities and potential of their banana assets to be a product of Jenang made from banana as an icon of snacks from Jampet village.

Abstract

This article is the result of research that examines the efforts of the Kuwu village community to escape dependence on rice yields through dragon fruit cultivation by utilizing empty house yard assets with a Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach. This approach provides an opportunity for researchers from the University of the UINSA KKN Team and the Kuwu village community to partner and collaborate to conduct research together to find solutions to problems faced by the community to improve their economic welfare. After conducting the inculturation stage with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the Kuwu village community, and conducting an analysis of the initial assets owned by the local community, the researchers from the UINSA KKN Team group 18 together with the community focused on efforts to solve the problem of the dependence of the Kuwu village community on the results. rice harvesters by looking for additional income alternatives by cultivating dragon fruit by utilizing their empty home yard land. To solve this problem, researchers from the UINSA Team and residents of the Kuwu village community worked together in every stage of the research. There are four stages in the CBPR method, namely: (1) Foundation laying, (2) Research planning, (3) Data collection and analysis, (4) Determination of action on findings. Through these stages, it can be concluded that the results of this study include; first, the planting of dragon fruit seeds carried out by UINSA KKN students and residents of the Kuwu village community, starting with a literacy study and socialization about the benefits of dragon fruit initiated by local community leaders and extension workers from the local Agriculture Service; second, efforts to carry out various joint experiments to make food/snacks from processed dragon fruit carried out by PKK women and UINSA KKN students. This action was also followed up by the village government by initiating a working group (farmer's group) to oversee this program until finally realizing the aspirations of the community members to become a dragon fruit center village in the future.

Abstract

Islamic moderation through the educational curriculum at the Fadllillah and the Jawaahirul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School is a qualitative study with comparative analysis. The reason for choosing the Fadllillah Islamic Boarding School is because this institution has collaborated the Madrasah education curriculum with the local educational curriculum system of the Tarbiyatu al-Mu'allimin al-Islamiyyah and the Sufism teachings. Meanwhile, the selection of the Jawahirul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School cause this institution has implemented a formal school education system by collaborating the values ​​of Islamic boarding school character education and the Sufism teachings of the kiai who cares for this institution too like; daily dhikr, ma'rifat teachings. All data in this study was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study conclude that; The two institutions above have educated their students with a moderate attitude in religion through Islamic boarding school education curriculum by adapting to government regulations. The implications of this research confirm that; 1) an Understanding of Islamic moderation has been instilled since at Islamic boarding school; 2) the development of the Islamic education curriculum in Islamic boarding schools is always carried out flexibly, which is influenced by the leadership of kiai.
