Abstract

Although pregnant women have received the MCH handbook, one page of which contains knowledge about the danger signs in pregnancy, the knowledge of pregnant women about the danger signs in pregnancy is still lacking because educational factors are also considered to affect the ability of pregnant women to read and understand the contents of the MCH book. The implementation of counseling and counseling is intended so that participants who come during counseling know or understand the danger signs of pregnancy. Located in the Talang Jambe sub-district, Palembang with 10 counseling participants and has been given counseling and counseling materials about the danger signs of pregnancy using the MCH book, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. The final outcome of this activity is that the participants are able to understand the signs dangers of pregnancy. The conclusion of this activity is that the counseling and counseling participants are able to understand the danger signs of pregnancy and the counseling activities are carried out smoothly.

Abstract

According to World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2020, Indonesia is the second highest in Southeast Asia at 31.8%, (Ashilah et al. 2023). The purpose of the research is to know the increase in knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about animal protein through audio-visual media as an effort to prevent stunting. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design approach. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the average knowledge of mothers before being given audio-visual media is 49.33 and the average knowledge of mothers after being given audiovisual media education on animal protein has increased to 49.48. So it can be concluded that audio-visual media has an effect in improving the mother's attitude in preventing stunting obtained a significant value of 49.53 which is smaller than the significant level of 5% or (p value 0.000 0.05), then it can be stated that there is an influence of audio-visual media on the attitude of mothers in preventing stunting at PMB Ferawati SST Palembang in 2024. It is hoped that this research can be further refined by conducting similar research using more samples, using different methods and using other interventions such as using leaflets, booklets or using whattsapp media so that research on the provision of Audio Visual Media as an Effort to Prevent Stunting can be even better

Abstract

Menyusui merupakan suatu proses alamiah, namun sering ibu-ibu tidak berhasil menyusui atau menghentikan menyusui lebih dini. Oleh karena itu, ibu-ibu memerlukan bantuan agar proses menyusui lebih berhasil. Banyak alasan yang dikemukakan oleh ibu yang tidak menyusui bayinya antara lain payudara ibu tidak memproduksi cukup ASI atau bayinya tidak mau mengisap. Bendungan ASI merupakan salah satu masalah yang sering terjadi pada masa nifas/post partum. Banyak faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya bendungan ASI, di antaranya intensitas menyusui yang kurang, perawatan payudara yang tidak dilakukan, kelainan pada puting susu serta faktor pengetahuan ibu yang kurang. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu nifas mengenai teknik perawatan payudara untuk mengurangi pembengkakan dan nyeri payudara. Sasaran kegiatan edukasi kesehatan ini ditujukan kepada ibu menyusui di PMB Misni Herawati Palembang. Penyuluhan ini menghasilkan target luaran yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan peserta yaitu 12 orang ibu menyusui. Berdasarkan kegiatan penyuluhan yang telah dilakukan para peserta mengerti dan memahami mengenai cara perawatan payudara. Diharapkan seluruh ibu menyusui dapat memahami mengenai cara perawatan payudara dan memberikan ASI eksklusif pada bayinya sampai usia 6 bulan.
