Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the role of NGO SIGAB and NGO Rifka Annisa in empowering people with disabilities, women and children affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. These two groups received less treatment from the government during the Covid-19 pandemic due to limited government resources. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. The research results found that these two NGOs carried out an empowerment and advocacy role. Empowerment is carried out by SIGAB by collecting data to channel the aspirations of people with disabilities and providing policy input to the government, educating the public and people with disabilities about Covid-19 through media that can be accessed by people with disabilities. Meanwhile, Rifka Annisa protects and advocates for groups of women affected by COVID-19, especially those experiencing violence, while providing education. The pandemic conditions which were feared to paralyze civil society during the Covid-19 pandemic, on the contrary were able to strengthen it in a spirit of solidarity. The advantages these two NGOs have are the wide network they have built and the strong group solidarity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the influence of digital marketing in political campaigns in Indonesia. This research departs from the gap between the theoretical potential of digital marketing, widely discussed in the global literature, and its empirical application, which remains limited in the Indonesian political context. The contemporary political dynamics in Indonesia an increasingly dependent on information technology and social media, making this study both relevant and urgent. The research method uses qualitative bibliometric analysis with primary data obtained from the Scopus database. The data were processed in RStudio and filtered according to the PRISMA protocol, yielding 58 journal articles that were systematically analyzed. The results show that digital marketing strategies, particularly through social media, data-driven micro-targeting, and creative content, have shifted the paradigm of political campaigns from traditional approaches to more personalized, interactive, and measurable interactions. The trend analysis also reveals the evolution of research focus, from the initial platform adoption stage to more complex strategies, involving artificial intelligence, digital ethical issues, and platform governance. The study concludes that digital marketing has transformed the Indonesian political campaign landscape, making in more dynamic. However, its effectiveness still requires support in the form of increasing people’s digital literacy, protective regulations, and follow-up research using a mixed-methods approach to empirically measure causal impacts. This research contributes to the development of digital political marketing literature while providing practical implications for political actors and policymakers in Indonesia.

Abstract

The neutrality of village apparatus is an imperative obligation that must be upheld without compromise. This study aims to analyze the neutrality of village apparatus during the simultaneous regional elections (Pilkada) in 2024 in Bantul Regency. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews and documentation studies. The findings reveal several violations committed by village officials that contradict the principle of neutrality. The causes of this lack of neutrality are influenced by several factors, including cultural influences, political ambition, kinship or familial ties, and local political pressures. In Javanese culture, the concept of "ewuh pekewuh," which refers to a feeling of hesitation or reluctance out of respect or social obligation, reflects a cultural aspect that weakens the application of neutrality values. Political ambition often impacts the neutrality of village apparatus, as political positions are considered strategic for accelerating career advancement. Political rewards or promises extend beyond positions to include beneficial programs for involved parties. Local political pressure examples include coercion from party elites at the district level directed toward village apparatus. Furthermore, the most emphasized factor is kinship or familial relationships, which can disrupt the professionalism of the electoral system and the neutrality of village officials.
