Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan perubahan perilaku terkait siaga bencana pada warga Kampung Warna-Warni. Kampung Warna-Warni sejak tahun 2016 telah menjadi kampung wisata yang terkenal sebagai tempat wisata di Malang. Kampung ini sebelumnya merupakan lingkungan pemukiman yang rawan bencana dan akan tergusur. Lokasi Kampung Warna-warni berada di bantaran sungai sehingga menyebabkan kampung tersebut selalu dilanda banjir setiap kali musim hujan datang terutama ketika curah hujan tinggi. Banjir yang sering melanda membuat Kampung Warna-Warni dilengkapi dengan beberapa tanda siaga bencana, namun beberapa warga tidak mengetahui adanya tanda siaga bencana tersebut dan juga fungsinya. Melihat hal tersebut kesadaran akan kesiapan menghadapi bencana pada warga Kampung Warna-Warni dapat dikatakan kurang. Melihat kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdiam masyarakat ini membuat dua program kegiatan untuk penguatan aspek kognitif dalam kebencanaan yang dikemas dalam pendekatan psikoedukasi. Pertama adalah psikoedukasi pada individu dewasa. Kedua, mengeluarkan produk buku literasi mengenai kebencanaan pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini membutuhkan komitmen dan konsistensi dalam melakukan program sehingga hasil yang diharapkan bisa tercapai dengan maksimal. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mengeluarkan produk sebuah buku berjudul ‘Aku Kenal Bencana’ yang berasal dari pengalaman warga menghadapi bencana. Buku ini sebagai wujud dari tujuan utama dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan aspek kognitif kebencanaan pada warga. Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has been in its third year. The psychological impact remains undergone by many people especially those who had experienced positive testing of COVID 19, including anxiety. One of the causes of anxiety is because of the massive information exposure about Covid 19 or in current condition called coronavirus anxiety. One of the personality traits that is prone to anxiety is neuroticism. This research tried to find out whether Covid 19 survivors with the neuroticism personality trait had a tendency to experience anxiety due to the exposure to information about Covid 19. A total of 120 respondents obtained through purposive sampling participated in this study. Based on the results of the analysis using simple linear regression, it could be concluded that the neuroticism personality trait had a positive correlation with coronavirus anxiety, which indicated that Covid 19 survivors with high levels of neuroticism had a tendency to experience coronavirus anxiety. In addition, the results of the analysis also showed that the neuroticism personality trait explained 25.1% variance of coronavirus anxiety.

Abstract

People are now feeling relieved because the pandemic has come to an end but a discussion about mental health is still going on as the pandemic impacts mental health conditions on individuals. Personality traits are believed to be a strong predictor for mental health conditions especially among adult people. One of the personality traits that is prone to anxiety is neuroticism. This research tried to find out whether Covid 19 survivors with the neuroticism personality trait had a tendency to experience anxiety and depression. A total of 120 respondents obtained through purposive sampling participated in this study. Based on the results of the analysis using simple linear regression, it could be concluded that the neuroticism personality trait had a positive correlation with anxiety and depression, which indicated that Covid 19 survivors with high levels of neuroticism had a tendency to experience anxiety and depression. In addition, the results of the analysis also showed that the neuroticism personality trait explained 56% variance of anxiety and depression.
