Abstract

This study aims to find out about what type  and the procces of the socio-economic development Javanese collony in Bagelen region Lampung during the period of 1905-1945. This study applied historical method with the data collecting techniques were done through library study and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative data analysis. The results obtained by the researcher showed the development of the Javanese collony in Bagelen region  Lampung during the period 1905-1945 on the field of education, the development was shown by the establishment by Bagelen School, Beda School and HIS; various types of work began to run as well as in economic activities where people began to meet their consumption, the production and distribution the goods began to be done through the market and the community have started to cultivate their own land in the collony area.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk dan proses perkembangan sosial-ekonomi yang terjadi pada masyarakat Kolonis Jawa di daerah Bagelen Lampung pada tahun 1905-1945. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode historis dengan teknik pengumpulan data kepustakaan dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif. Hasil yang didapat peneliti mengenai perkembangan masyarakat kolonisasi jawa di daerah Bagelen Lampung pada tahun 1905-1945 pada tingkat pendidikan adanya Bagelen School, Beda School dan HIS, jenis pekerjaan yang mulai bervariasi serta pada aktivitas ekonomi yang mulai memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi, produksi dan distribusi melalui pasar dan berkebun dari lahan kolonis sendiri.Kata kunci: bagelen lampung, perkembangan, politik etis, sosial ekonomi
