Abstract

So far, literature studies tend to be repetitive and normative. Whereas in analyzing literary works, it is important to note that a text has an impact and implication in life. The Kelomang novel written by Qizink La Aziva was chosen because it is one of the novel texts that does not only make the environment the setting, but also makes the environment a part of the story. The story in the Kelomang novel is characterized by apocalyptic. This study aims to find the apocalyptic environment in the Kelomang by Qizink La Aziva. This research is a qualitative research. This study uses an ecocritical approach to apocalyptic literature. The data source of this research is the text of the Kelomang by Qizink La Aziva published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama in Jakarta in 2016. The data in this study is a text fragment of the Kelomang by Qizink La Aziva which allegedly contains apocalyptic environmental ecocritics. The research results are as follows. 1) It is found that environmental changes that have occurred are garbage pollution, clean water crisis, vandalism, road damage, and damage due to mining activities. 2) Efforts to prevent environmental damage were found, such as cleaning up garbage in the yard of regional government offices and squares, as well as preventive preparations for rejecting sand mining. 3) There is human awareness of part of the environment carried out by Yanto and Citra. 4) There was an awareness of rejection of the temptation to impose their will on the environment, such as the repressive efforts of residents to reject the plan to mine sea sand by means of demonstrations and reject the presence of sand mining ships, and not to accept bribes made by businessmen and government officials to approve sea sand mining.

Abstract

Inferiority was a feeling that is experienced by every people. But these feelings were able to encourage people to achieve the success (superiority). This research was talking about the inferiority experienced by the main character in Andrea Hirata’s novels. These novels were serial novels that are separated from personal story of the author. The novels are entitled Ayah (2015), Sirkus Pohon (2017), and Orang-Orang Biasa (2019). This research aimed to analyze inferiority and superiority of the main characters in novels (Ayah, Sirkus Pohon, and Orang-Orang biasa) by Andrea Hirata. This research used a literary psychology approach by Alfred Adler with a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of this research were first, there are seven forms of inferiority possessed by the main character in the novels (Ayah, Sirkus Pohon, and Orang-Orang biasa) by Andrea Hirata, such as (1) pessimist, (2) hopeless, (3) disappointed, (4) worthless, (5) lost of spirit (heart break), (6) restless, (7) bitterness and gave up. Second, there are six forms of superiority possessed by the main character in the novels (Ayah, Sirkus Pohon, and Orang-Orang biasa) by Andrea Hirata, they were (1) optimistic or confident, (2) high of spirit, (3) proud, (4) success at work, (5) motivate us to have goals, (6) lost of ideas, strategies, and life plans/keep moving. Based on the results of this research, the main character who has a feeling of inferiority manages to achieve superiority, so that it can motivate every reader to never give up in achieving goals in the future

Abstract

This study is aimed to describe code mixing in Sundanese-Javanese society in the domain of governmental affairs at Brebes regency. The study data are in the from of conservations or speech parts in the domain of governmental affairs at Brebes . Regions to be the focus of observation are Kubangpari representing urban areas & Baros representing rural areas. the data are colected by using observation & interiew method which employs listening technique . Afterward, the data are analyzed by means of 2 procedure, (I) analysis during data collection included & (2) analysis after data collection . In order to achieve accurate interpretation result, the writer flows these steps : (1) discussion, (2) rechecking, and (3) consultation . The conclusion is that the realization of code mixing in Javanese-Sundanese society in the domain of govermental affairs, at Brebes consist of : I) Brebes-Javanese language code mixing in Indonesian, (2) Brebes- Javanese language code-mixing in Indonesian, (3) Brebes-Javanese language code mixing in Brebes-Javanese language, (4) Brebes-Javanese language code mixing in Indonesian, (5) Ngoko-Javanese language code mixing in Indonesian, and (6) Krama Javanese language code-mixing in Indonesian. The result of the study may be helpful for further research in the fields of language development and organization of both regional language and Indonesian .
