Abstract

This community services (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat / P2M) workshop is lecturers and university students activity for renewable energy (Energi Baru dan Terbarukan / EBT) application. This activity is initiated by lecturers of Collage of Engineering of PLN to implemented their knowledge in Electrical Engineering field to train students from senior high school level, especially in sharing knowledge about science application that many used recently in remote areas of Indonesia that is public lighting “Workshop of Wind Power Plant Application for Garden Lamp” on School of SMAN 57 Jakarta, located in Kedoya Utara, Kebun Jeruk, Kodya Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta.Authors in Community Services team choosed workshop of this application of “Wind Power Plant for Garden Lamp is to give explanation about how to build design, work function and its benefit in people life in general and school in particular.In the design, material choosing of blade that can made from wood or alluminium, choosed based on wind speed characteristic and it did testing of influenced material to blade rotating power speed. Potency of wind energy in Indonesia have been identificated at many kind of area especially in Java, South Celebes, South East Nusa and Maluku.Through the workshop of wind power plant application for garden lamp used, is one of the program that be developed by lecturers and students of Collage of Engineering of PLN, and the result of this workshop developing be given for free of charge for school of SMAN 57 Jakarta students, for sciences that got in teory from lesson school can be implemented on practices.

Abstract

Today, technology is growing very fast and science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is still the main topic. The entry of the internet era created Industry 4.0 which is currently being developed by scientists to facilitate human life. Required several fields of science needed to develop Industry 4.0, one of which is programming. The problems obtained by high school students after graduating and then entering college in engineering, especially those majoring in Electrical Engineering are they have just come to know programming. This is due to the elimination of ICT subjects at the high school level since the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. Because high school graduates have no provision in engineering, few also want to improve their education in engineering. This PKM activity is a programming training that becomes the knowledge base for developing Industry 4.0. The training was focused on microcontoler programming using Arduino Uno as a learning medium. At the end of the activity, students were given a questionnaire containing five Likert scales to evaluate how effective the training was conducted. The training was attended by thirty nine students of South Tagerang 7 State High School who were in accordance with the grade XI majoring in science and interested in computer assistance. After the training, the results of the questionnaire concluded that participants "Agree" 61.53% and "Strongly Agree" 33.33% that this training increased their insight into Industry 4.0. The "Strongly Agree" Participant was 43.58% and "Agree" 33.33% that he was interested in exploring the Arduino Microcontroller. Participants "Strongly Agree" 43.58% and "Agree" 41.02% that they want additional lessons on the microcontroller at their school

Abstract

Industry 4.0 fundamentals involve at least 4 thing : interconnection (machines, devices and people are connected), information transparency (data analysis needs), decentralized decisions (effects of interconnection and information transparency) and technical assistance (the purpose of industry 4.0). Collaboration between machines / devices and humans is very important to implement Industry 4.0. In this collaboration, the role of the microcontroller as a connector between machines and humans. Microcontroller Training for Introduction of Robotics as a Response to the Revolution of Industry 4.0 at SMK Media Informatika Dasana Indah Tengerang is aimed for students and teacher so they know about Industry 4.0 and its application in microcontroller programming. Therefore the method of PKM program consists of seminar and workshop. The seminar explained about Industry 4.0 Revolution and the workshop is programming Line Follower which is embedded with Arduino Uno. Result of this PKM program in the form of industry 4.0 revolution seminar combine with microcontroller programming workshop, this combination give bigger impact compared with just given a seminar or just a workshop. The students and teacher who attend this event get additional knowledge about Industry 4.0 and how to program a microcontroller.
