Abstract

Family planning is an effort to increase awareness of community participation through maturing age at marriage, regulation, birth, fostering, family resilience and improving family welfare to create a happy and prosperous small family (Yuhedi and Kurniawati, 2013). Based on the results of information obtained from the Arosbaya Health Center, the prevalence of Family Planning (KB) in Bangkalan Regency in 2017 reached 72.97 percent. In 2018 the priority level is 71.99 percent. Meanwhile, from 2019 to April, the prevalence rate is 67.88 numbers. From year to year, community participation in family planning programs tends to decline. It is known that the prevalence is a measure of the level of participation and public awareness. Privalence is the percentage of fertile age couples (PUS) participating in family planning. If the percentage is high, the level of public awareness is also high. However, in Bangkalan, the participation rate is still low. However, the Family Planning Office for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KB P3A) in Bangkalan Regency is actively conducting socialization to the community. From the existing problems, we are planning to go on a family planning IUD safari, namely through the installation of a free IUD. The target of family planning counseling and counseling is fertile age couples and community leaders, with a total of approximately 50 people. Meanwhile, the free IUD is intended for women of reproductive age who wish to regulate pregnancy. The highlight of this family planning safari was held for 2 days. The output target to be achieved from this community service is the publication of reputable scientific journals.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a symptomatic phenomenon including abdominal pain, cramps, and back pain. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea can occur as menstrual symptoms (Kusmiran, 2012). The incidence of menstrual pain in the world is very large. On average, more than 50% of women in every country experience menstrual pain. The method used to carry out community service is by collecting data on the number of young women who experience menstruation at Bangkalan High School, then conducting school visits equipped with a pain scale score examination. Mentoring for adolescents is carried out every day during the menstrual period until the symptoms of dysmenorrhoea are reduced and subsided. The assistance was continued with the provision of red ginger drink, knowledge about menstruation and reproductive health, treatment of menstrual periods, sharing with family, moderate exercise and others. The mentoring participants were 20 young women with dismenorhoeing at SMA Bangkalan. After several days of mentoring, some teenagers showed improvement in their dysmenorrhea condition until recovery. Teenagers are able to carry out activities and some treatments around menstruation.

Abstract

Nutritional status describes the body's condition resulting from food intake and nutrient use, which is vital for energy, growth, tissue repair, and physiological function. A preliminary study at Ponkesdes Mlajah Bangkalan found that among 10 mothers with toddlers suffering from poor nutrition, 80% of the children did not actively attend the posyandu, while 20% did. This study aimed to examine the effect of participation in basic health services (posyandu) on toddlers’ nutritional status. Using an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach, 143 respondents (from 227) were selected through Stratified Simple Random Sampling. The independent variable was posyandu participation status; the dependent variable was toddler nutritional status. Data were collected using Islamic boarding school cohort records and Z-score applications, and analyzed using the Spearman Rank test (Ethics No: 1586/KEPK/STIKES-NHM/EC/II/2024). Findings showed 62.2% of respondents were inactive in posyandu, while 66.4% of toddlers had normal nutritional status. With a p-value of 0.094 (ρ > α = 0.05), the result indicated no significant influence. Recommendation: Parents should be encouraged to attend posyandu regularly, aided by cadres through reminders and nutrition education efforts.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is an increase in blood pressure that occurs after the 20th week of gestation. Until now, the exact cause of preeclampsia is not known. During the second trimester of pregnancy the pressure in the renal veins (renal venous pressure) changes and increases. Increased renal venous pressure causes proteinuria, especially in the orthostatic position, which causes a slightly greater change in kidney size. Purpose: The aim of this study was The Relationship Between Body Mass Index And Blood Pressure With Results Of Urine Protein Examination In Pregnant Women At Bangkalan Health Center. Methods: Analytical Research Design with a cross sectional approach. Independent variable Body Mass Index and Blood Pressure, dependent variable results of urine protein examination. The sample of this study were 210 pregnant women who carried out Integrated ANC at the Bangkalan Health Center, the sampling technique used Simple random sampling. Secondary data collection by looking at medical record data, statistical tests using Rank Spearman. Results: Based on statistical tests using Rank-Spearman, the results showed ρ value (0.024) <α (0.05) indicating that there is a relationship between Body Mass Index and urine protein examination results. The results of the study ρ value (0.020) <α (0.05) there is a relationship between blood pressure and the results of urine protein examination. Conclusion: Detection of proteinuria is very important in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in pregnancy. Proteinuria is the last symptom to appear in patients with preeclampsia.
