Abstract

The implementation of the selection that refers to the use of genetic parameter value might expect very effective help in accelerating the discovery of a superior genotypes in accordance with plant breeding program. Twelve promissing lines and check varieties of soybean were planted at KP Sitiung Dharmasraya on two seasons namely MT1 from August-November 2009 and MT2 from December to March 2010. Fertilization with a dose of 75 kg of urea was 125 kg SP36 and 75kg of KCl/ha, the plot size is 2.80 m x 4.0 m. A randomized complete block design with four replication. Variable measured were agronomic characters, yield component and yield. The results the experiment indicated that heritability of all the characters were high (50,43% - 95,98%). Only heritability of plant high at MT1 and yield both environments was medium. The value of guess heritabilitas high on productive branch character per plant and pods per plant is supported by genetic advances and coefficient of average genetic variation is quite high and high, thus both these characters can be reference selection criteria to get productive branches per plant and pods per plant. Keywords: Soybean, genetic variance, heritability, genetic variation coefficient.

Abstract

Superior varieties is one component of the innovative technology that is reliable and gives a real contribution to the success of an increase in the productivity of food crops in Indonesia. To that end, the discovery of new superior variety is continuously carried out absolute in order to anticipate changes in the structure of the plant organism, the situation is very dynamic, the resilience of a superior varieties of plant organism could not last long. Testing adaptation promissing lines is one of the stages approach to filter lines that are capable of adapting well and has high yield potential. In 2009 has been carried out 10 test promissing lines of rice fields on two locations in Solok Regency of West Sumatra from Agustus 2009 to Januari 2010. The experiment used a randomized complete block design, with four replication was used, plot size 4.0 m x 5.0 m Fertilizer aplicated at rate of 280 kg of Urea, 100 kg SP 36 and 100 kg KCl/ha. The results showed promissing lines BP10620F-BB4-15-BB8 and BP2842E-14-2 were 21.50% and 21,72% more than varieties IR42. Plant high posture all the promissing lines including the ideal that is with the range of 85-105 cm. Keywords: Rice, Promissing liness,

Abstract

Evaluation the lines of rice the highlands of aims to identify lines being sappy the result of higher than varieties Sarinah and Inpari 28 Kerinci. As many as 24 lines rice early maturity together varieties Sarinah and Inpari 28 Kerinci by contrast has been tested power results in Kayu Aro Solok West Sumatra ( 850 m above sea level). Research using randomized block design with three replications. m Fertilizer aplicated at rate of 200 kg of Urea, 100 kg SP 36 and Kcl 100 kg/ha. The 25 days old seedling after sowing were planted in 3x4 m2 size plots with plant spacing 25 x 25 cm and three seedling per hole. The research results obtained seven lines of lawland rice fields into alleged able to adapt to increased production in cumulative range 0.31-0.82 t/ha compared to varieties Sarinah, the seventh such lines is BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-7-2, BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-7-8, BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-7-9, BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-8.4, BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-7-4, BP13990-3B-GRT-3-1-8-8 and BP14022-10B-GRT-2-3-2. Age of plant lines are more early than varieties Sarinah and Inpari 28 Kerinci. The power steadiness and power adaptation results of lines that needs to be evaluated on a different environment conditions. Keywords : advanced yield trial, lines rice, high elevation

Abstract

The experiment using 14 gonotipe exercised on agroekosistem the high lands rice of with elevation 850 to 1050 m asl on five environment in West Sumatra. Aranged in a randomized complete block design, with three replication. Variable measured were agronomic characters, yield componen on yield. The result showed that in general all the characters observed it has value expect heritability high , and value genetic gain, as well as a coefficient the genetic variation in general also massive exc weights 1 000 grains with value expect both the parameters low. Based on the value of a parameter this genetic and to increase efiesien selection and activities selection be done in the early . Keywords; high land rice, heritability, koefisien variance genetic.

Abstract

Total rice field area in West Sumatera is 221.165 ha. The largest portion of irrigated rice is on 0 – 1200 m asl.The major preference of Indonesia rice consumers, the West Sumatera consumers prefer high amylose content rice. The availability of rice variety with high amylose is very limited; consequently, the dominant varieties planted bythe farmers were Cisokan and IR 42 that has been cultivated for more than 1 0 years. By single variant analyze forgenotype yield data were absolutely different. According to average yield of 21 grows environment, SPR85163-5-1-2-4 line and S4362f-Kn-2-1-2 showed the sheet for each line 10 and 18% higher than Cisokan. The yield of bothvariants were 4.68 – 7.62 t/ha and 3.24 – 7.83 t/ha, with average of yield was 6.06 and 6.48 t/ha, whereas Cisokanyield was 3.32 – 7.89 t/ha with average of yield was 5.49 t/ha. According to data of turn yield and cross average ofenvironment grow SPR85163-5-1-2-4 line was superior in yield capacity and adaptation then Cisokan. In certainenvironment grow; line S4362f-Kn-2-1-2 had the lower sheet yield than Cisokan and SPR85163-5-1-2-4. Stabilityparameter analyze indicate that all genotype that were tested gave the stable respond to chance of condition in21 environment grow, SPR85163-5-1-2-4 line was more stable than line S4362f-Kn-2-1-2, that was indicated bycontribution of each. Interaction of variant component Genotype x environment (interaction of G x L) for eachcomponent was 15 and 23 %. The line of SPR85163-5-1-2-4 was able to yield 20% higher than line S4362f-Kn-2-1-2 and 26% Cisokan variety at Guguk environment (850 a above se level), while SPR85163-5-1-2-4 line has thebest result until 700 m above sea level.
