Abstract

One type of pest damage is the armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) which is quite significant in attacking many vegetable plants. To be able to control armyworm pests in vegetable crops, it is necessary to experiment with controlling armyworm pests using local entomopathogenic nematodes Steinernema spp. Isolates. The use of nematodes proved to be able to kill target pests. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of entomopathogenic nematodes (Steinernema spp.) local isolates of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency in the control of armyworm (Spodoptera litura F.) The study was conducted at the STIPER Amuntai Laboratory and in peanuts planting Pinangkara Village Amuntai Tengah District of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency to obtain armyworms. The study was conducted in January - March 2008. Analysis of the data used in this experiment was Annova RAL analysis followed by DMRT test if the treatment had a significant or very real effect. The results showed that the entomopathogenic nematode Steinernema spp. significantly affected the mortality of Spodoptera litura larvae. The results showed that the symptoms of Steinernema spp. Nematodes. against S. litura larvae 24 hours after application found larvae that were no longer actively involved.

Abstract

Beans are a kind of edible beans. Beans are rich in protein and vitamins that help lower blood pressure and monitor blood sugar metabolism and are equated with being eaten by those who suffer from diabetes or hypertension. High fiber and enzyme content can help you lose weight. In peanut cultivation it needs to be optimized considering the consumption needs are not comparable with production, One way to increase the productivity of peanut plants is proper fertilization, such as by using organic fertilizers. This study aims (i) to determine the effect of EMRAS on the growth and yield of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) on swampy swamp land. (ii) Getting the best concentration between EMRAS and growth and yield of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) on swamp swamp land. This research was carried out on swamp swamp land in Teluk Buluh Village, Banjang District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency in May - July 2013, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 6 treatments and 4 replications, resulting in 24 experimental units and each experiment. consists of 2 sample plants, so that the total sample is 48 plants. The factors tested were the provision of EMRAS, e0 = 0% (0 l/beds), e1 = 25% (0,25 l/beds), e2 = 50% (0,5 l/beds), e3 = 75% (0,75 l/beds), e4 = 100% (1 l/beds) and e5 = 125% (1,25 l/beds). The results showed that the observation variables of EMRAS administration affected plant height, number of productive branches, number of pods per plant, and pod wet weight per plant with the best administration at 100% concentration (1 l / bed)

Abstract

Utilization of insect diversity is useful in overcoming pest in the field, by using parasitoids and predators to control pests, can prevent the use of toxic chemicals in the field, while providing a safe haven for other species to live and play its role in maintaining the health of the ecosystem. Insect diversity in South Kalimantan, especially paddy fields in swampy areas largely unknown, and therefore need to be examined. The aim of this study is to identify and assess the diversity of natural enemies in paddy crop in swampy areas, especially in the three villages in the district of Sungai Pandan, Hulu Sungai Utara. This study was conducted from February - June 2015. The method used in this research is survey method with direct observation with an area of rice fields has been determined, and sampling arthropod natural enemies by using a swinging nets, water traps and light traps. Results from this study are: (1) The number of arthropod natural enemies found in shallow swamps is 20 species from seven orders, mid swamps and in each of the 16 species of seven orders; (2) The highest predator arthropod population in the shallow swamp area is Micraspis sp., The middle swamp is Paederus fuscipes, and the deep swamp is Micraspis sp. ; and (3) the diversity index of natural enemies of arthropods on the third mainland is low

Abstract

Material compost can be foliage, rice husk, organic garbage, and herbs water hyacinth that considered to be weeds because the population is a huge and speed growing fast. To make use of herbs water hyacinth as compost can by using PGPR that serves as decomposer to accelerate decay. PGPR contained the bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescent and Bacillus polymixa. The material used a source of PGPR, namely root bamboo, roots daughter shame, roots cane, and roots bulrush. The research aims to understand the influence of the nutrient content water hyacinth (Eichornia crassiper (Mart.)) in composted with different kinds of PGPR (roots bamboo, roots bulrush, roots daughter shame, and roots cane). The research in Kandang Jaya Village District of Lampihong Balangan Regency of February to the month of April 2016. The research using design random complete (RAL) single factor. Factors the treatment is types of material PGPR (P) as four the economic situation of PGPR bamboo roots (p1), PGPR bulrush roots (p2), PGPR Mimosa pudica roots (p3) and PGPR cane roots (p4) as 250 ml/decomposer. The research results show that the various from of PGPR is not had a real impact on the nutrient content N-total, P and K as well as the value of the C-organic on composting results c.
