Abstract

ABSTRAK Literasi sains memainkan peranan penting dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan menggunakan pengetahuan sains, mengidentifikasi permasalahan dan menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti-bukti, dalam rangka mengerti serta membuat keputusan tentang alam dan perubahan yang terjadi pada alam sebagai akibat aktivitas manusia (OECD, 2009). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Tiga Bengkulu Tengah. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa kelas VIII. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes literasi sains aspek pengetahuan dan kompetensi dalam bentuk soal objektif. Tes berjumlah 20 soal yang mencakup tiga indikator literasi sains yaitu konteks, konten dan proses. Soal tes literasi sains yang valid diadopsi dari penelitian Wulandari (2015). Data di analisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif, dengan menghitung skor rata-rata persentase kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara keseluruhan dan pada setiap indikator. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa aspek pengetahuan dan kompentensi secara keseluruhan mencapai skor rata-rata 41,35 %. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada indikator konteks mencapai skor rata-rata 45,80 %, pada indikator konten mencapai skor rata-rata 40,65 %, dan pada indikator proses mencapai skor rata-rata 42,49 %. Dari skor rata-rata di atas menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara keseluruhan dan pada setiap indikator masuk kedalam kategori sangat rendah. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kemampuan siswa yang rendah dan kurangnya fasilitas yang mendukung dalam proses pembelajaran sains. Kata kunci: literasi sains, kemampuan literasi sains siswa.

Abstract

Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) adalah rencana tindakan satu atau lebih sesi pembelajaran tatap muka yang dikembangkan dalam kurikulum untuk memandu kegiatan belajar siswa menuju pencapaian suatu Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang dipersiapkan oleh guru sebelum memulai kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data melalui studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara, untuk menganalisis kesesuaian RPP berdasarkan kurikulum 2013 pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA di kelas VIII SMP. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan memperlihatkan bahwa dari enam RPP yang dianalisis, empat termasuk kategori sangat akurat dan dua kategori akurat. Agar suatu RPP dinilai akurat, maka harus berpedoman pada silabus yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya yang memuat standar kompetensi, kompetensi inti, materi pelajaran/pembelajaran, pembelajaran, indikator kompetensi, penilaian, komitmen waktu, dan sumber belajar.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive quantitative that aims to determine the understanding of science teachers and students' knowledge in solving creative thinking-oriented scientific literacy questions. The instruments used in this research were a teacher interview questionnaire and creative thinking-oriented scientific literacy essay questions. Teacher interview data were analyzed using a descriptive percentage, and student test results were analyzed using descriptive statistics by calculating the average percentage score for creative thinking-oriented scientific literacy skills based on scientific literacy indicators and creative thinking indicators. The results of the analysis show that 83.33% of teachers still rarely and almost never use scientific literacy and creative thinking assessments in science learning. Meanwhile, in the results of the analysis of the students' test data, the average percentage for the scientific literacy indicator was 22.86% and the creative thinking indicator was 23.23% with the predicate of very poor and in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the understanding of junior high school science teachers in Langsa City in developing creative thinking-oriented scientific literacy assessments is still low. This has an impact on the students' abilities, which show that the creative thinking-oriented scientific literacy skills are classified as very poor in the low category

Abstract

Purpose of Study: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Nearpod-based training in improving the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) competence of prospective physics teachers in designing physics learning tools.Methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach with two analytical components. The first component used a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design involving 19 prospective physics teachers who participated in Nearpod-based training and teaching simulations. The second component involved a final TPACK questionnaire administered to 60 prospective physics teachers from four universities. Data were analyzed using N-Gain, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, and the Rasch Model with Winsteps software. Main Findings: The results showed that the mean TPACK score increased from 76.05 in the pre-test to 91.50 in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.65, indicating moderate improvement. The Wilcoxon test produced a significance value of 0.000, confirming a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. Rasch analysis showed that 85% of respondents were in the moderate TPACK category. The Wright Map further indicated that Technological Knowledge, Content Knowledge, and some aspects of Pedagogical Knowledge were relatively easier to master, whereas Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Technological Pedagogical Knowledge, and holistic TPACK remained more challenging.Novelty/Originality of This Study: This study highlights Nearpod not only as a digital learning platform, but also as a pedagogical design space that supports prospective physics teachers in integrating physics content, interactive digital features, formative assessment, student engagement, and feedback within technology-enhanced learning.

Abstract

The scientific literacy formative assessment is an instrument designed with the aim of improving students' scientific literacy skills. Based on interviews conducted with the Principal of SMP Negeri 4 Langsa, it is known that the teachers' skills in compiling scientific literacy formative assessment instruments are still low. This is because training regarding formative assessment of scientific literacy has not been evenly distributed among teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Langsa. Therefore, it is necessary to hold training in preparing formative assessments of scientific literacy for teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Langsa. Methods for implementing activities include: 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) monitoring and evaluation. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge, understanding and skills of junior high school teachers in Langsa City in developing learning assessments in the form of scientific literacy formative assessments. The results of the PKM activities showed that the pre-test and post-test scores for teachers' scientific literacy formative assessment knowledge increased from an average of 72 to an average of 84. The satisfaction questionnaire also showed that teachers were satisfied with the PKM activities. Apart from that, it was also concluded from the questionnaire that teachers' knowledge and skills related to formative assessment of scientific literacy increased.
