Abstract

The learning model of map concept type network tree by using visual media (image of puzzle) is way to show the concepts and propositions in learning science. By self-making of the map concept, pupils are able to “notice” the learning material clearer and more meaningful. While, the visual media (image of puzzle) is like pieces image which is used to distribute message (learning material) so that it attracts pupil’s attention, interest, thought and feeling in learning activity to achieve the goal of learning. The subject of this research are pupils grade IV, uneven semester of public primary school SDN 3 Jangkar, district Situbondo which consist of 21 pupils, 12 girls and 9 boys. Type of this research is classroom action research. It is measured by the ARCS motivation questionnaire. The cycle I is average of ARCS pupil’s motivation aspect of 2,21 which is categorized as quite good. The cycle II is average of ARCS pupil’s motivation aspect is 3,06 which is categorized good. The increasing of ARCS’s motivation is 0,85. The increasing from cycle I to cycle II is 17, 14% and the complexness is 32%. Based on the analysis result it can be conclude that the application model of map concept learning type network tree by using visual media (images of puzzle) is able to increase the motivation and learning outcome of the pupils of grade IV, public primary school of SDN Jangkar district of Situbondo

Abstract

The devolopment of student’s critical thinking in Situbondo, especially in subdistrick of Panji can be said it still low.This was said by the head of teacher working group (KKG) in state primary school Patokan 2 Situbondo. This is proven when students were joining Olympics Championship, theirposition were in the middle,compare to other the participants from other sub-district. There were many teachers who still dominate the learning process and students were only as an object. Thus,It is needed a change in teaching learning process, that should be implemented by teachers to improve the student’s critical thinking skills in learning science subject,for instance, by using the natural environmental approach. The research was conducted in class 5 SD Negeri 2 Patokan Situbondo many as 42 students consisting of 21 students of class 5A and 5B class of 21 students.This study aims to determine differences in learning model that uses media with media images of the environment on students' critical thinking skills. The sample consists of two classes of experimental class (VA) and the control class (VB) in SD Negeri 2 Patokan Situbondo cluser selected by random sampling technique. Data obtained in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data is data obtained from the average value of post-test were analyzed using Liliefors Test and Test-F (homogeneity of variance) at significance level of 5%. While the qualitative data in the form of student learning activities derived from the observation and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that an increase kemamuan critical thinking of students in the experimental class. The average post-test experimental class is 80,71. Based on the results of t-test values ​​obtained thitung 3,55 > ttabel 2,02108 then the corresponding basis for decision making in the t-test, it can be concluded H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The average percentage of students in all aspects of the activity observed in the experimental class berkriteria fairly good (80%). Nevertheless, the increase in critical thinking skills that occur in the experimental class have differences with improved critical thinking skills that occur in the control class. Increasing students' critical thinking experimental class is higher than the increase in critical thinking control class. Thus, it can be concluded even if there are no significant differences in the ability of critical thinking between the experimental class and control class, but the application of learning strategies to influence the media environment ability students' critical thinking

Abstract

The teacher is a professional worker, but in reality there are many teachers who do not meet the professional qualifications. Therefore, the professionalism of teachers needs to be improved continuously, with various professional and proportional manners. One of them is implementation of lesson study. This study aimed to provide information and explanation that can be obtained benefits such as: a) improving the professionalism of science teachers through the process of improvement in the ability of the analysis of the problem’s learning; b) promoting creative and innovative teachers in learning process; c) improving quality of learning process that leads to the improvement of the quality of student learning outcomes. This research use descriptive research conducted by three cycles of lesson study in which one cycle consisted of (a) Planning; (b) Action, followed by observation; (b) Reflection; and (d) the next Action Plan. Types of data collected are qualitative data. Process and analysis performed by steps of data reduction, data tabulation, data interpretation and conclusion. From the data process and analysis concluded that the implementation of lesson study on the implementation of effective learning isenhancing the professionalism of teachers. Based on the conclusions of this study can be recommended as one of the solutions the problem of low quality of the learning process conducted by a science teacher at SD Negeri 3 Jangkar

Abstract

Parent's economic condition is a reality that is seen or felt by the human senses about the state of parents and the ability of parents to meet their needs. Parental economic conditions are one of the external factors of the emergence of motivation to continue children's education. Motivation will provide an encouragement or enthusiasm to behave in carrying out activities for someone to achieve a desired goal, without motivation, the activities of one's life will decrease. The diversity of parents' economic background can also affect achievement abilities more precisely on children's learning motivation, so that economic conditions are one of the factors that determine the success of children's education. Most of the parents of students of class 1 SDN 3 Mangaran are in middle to lower economic condition and based on the curriculum vitae of grade 1 students that researchers saw when conducting preliminary surveys, livelihoods from parents of 1st grade students as traders, farm laborers, and civil servants. The number of parents of students who work as farm laborers is 15 people, traders are 6 people, and civil servants are 1 person. In addition, information from class 1 teachers that stationery (pencils, erasers, rulers) and notebooks and drawing books used in teaching and learning activities are incomplete. This study aims to determine the effect of parents' economic level on learning motivation of 1st grade students at Mangaran Elementary School 3 Situbondo District. This research was conducted at SDN 3 Mangaran Situbondo District Class 1. The research method used was non-experimental method. The sample of this study included 22 grade 1 students at SDN 3 Mangaran. The research instrument consists of 20 questionnaires / questionnaires with four answer choices. Questionnaire validity is calculated using biserial point correlation formula. The questionnaire reliability coefficient is 0.973 for parents' economic condition questionnaire and 0.974 for this learning motivation questionnaire is calculated by the KR 20 formula. This is evidenced by looking at the price of t, where t count:6.897> t table: 1.725, so Ha is accepted that there is a significant effect economic conditions of students towards the learning motivation of grade 1 students at SD Negeri 3 Mangaran, Mangaran District, Situbondo Regency

Abstract

This study is based on the problems identified at this time students learn merely received the knowledge of teachers in education generally only use learning methods lecture course, so that in the implementation of teaching and learning activities take place monotonous and make difficult students to receive lessons well so impressed create saturated students in learning so that the effect on student learning outcomes. To solve the problem, researchers conducted the study by applying the learning model Contextuan Teaching and Learning (CTL). Formulation of the problem is How the study results to learn science between learning models using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a lecture at the fourth grade students? and What is the difference between the use of learning outcomes IPA learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a lecture at the fourth grade students ?. This study aims to determine learning outcomes IPA between the use of learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a lecture in class IV, and to determine differences in learning outcomes IPA between the use of learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with a lecture on students class IV. This study uses quantitative research and the research method used is a quasi-experimental method. This study is the fourth grade students who are in two schools SDN 1 Bun (experimental class) and SDN 2 Bun (control group) using 1 RPP held two meetings. The research instrument in the form of documentation and multiple choice objective test of 40 questions with four possible answers. Data were analyzed using t-test, obtained tarithmetic = 8.42, ttable = 2.01 at α = 0.05 and df = 48. It turns out that tarithmetic= 8.42> ttable = 2.01, we conclude that there are differences in learning outcomes IPA between the use of learning model Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) with a lecture on student learning method fourth grade Cluster 5 Districts Panarukan Situbondo. The learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is more suitable to be applied in the process of school learning model than the lecture approach.

Abstract

The model of concepts map network tree type is a way to show the natural science subject’s concepts and proposition. While, media image is everything in visual form which is transform into 2 shapes of dimension as the result of thoughts such as painting, portrait, slide, film, strip, opaque, and projector. The subject of this research are pupils grade IV, uneven semester of public primary school SDN 3 Jangkar, district Situbondo which consist of 21 pupils, 12 girls and 9 boys. Type of this research is classroom action research. It is measured by the ARCS motivation questionnaire. The cycle I is average of ARCS pupil’s motivation aspect of 2,34 which is categorized as quite good. The cycle II is average of ARCS pupil’s motivation aspect is 2,92 which is categorized good. The increasing of ARCS’s motivation is 0,58. The increasing from cycle I to cycle II is 8,81% and the complexness is 28,57%. Based on the analysis result it can be conclude that the application model of map concept learning type network tree by using image media is able to increase the motivation and learning outcome of the pupils of grade IV, public primary school of SDN Jangkar district of Situbondo

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis penerapan pembelajaran matematika dengan metode Numbered Head Together ( NHT ) dan media manik-manik pada pokok bahasan operasi hitung bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Gunung Putri Situbondo Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013, (2) mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan metode Numbered Head Together ( NHT ) dan media manik-manik pada pokok bahasan operasi hitung bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Gunung Putri Situbondo Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013, (3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran matematika dengan metode Numbered Head Together ( NHT ) dan media manik-manik pada pokok bahasan operasi hitung bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Gunung Putri Situbondo Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, disusun dalam siklus berrdaur terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi yang dilaksanakan 2 (dua) siklus. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah : 1) metode observasi untuk mengamati aktifitas siswa; 2) metode tes untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa; 3) metode wawancara untuk mengetahui pendapat siswa tentang kepuasan belajar. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Gunung Putri dengan jumlah 20 siswa yang terdiri 12 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan yang memiliki kemampuan yang heterogen. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model Numbered Head Together (NHT) dan media manik berwarna dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar sebesar 65% pada siklus I sedangkan siklus II sebesar 95% dan hasil belajar pada siklus I sebesar 70% dan pada siklus II mencapai 85% dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa presentase hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal juga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 15%.
