Abstract

Suatu estimasi yang teliti terhadap distribusi konduktivitas material lapisan bawah permukaan bumi dari kurva respon permukaan 1-D sangat diperlukan untuk ketetapan interpretasi magnetotellurik (MT) sounding. Pada kenyataannya, konduktivitas listrik di bawah permukaan bumi bukan saja bergantung terhadap kedalaman, tetapi perubahan konduktivitas listrik secara lateral dapat menyebabkan distorsi terhadap kurva respon I-D Magnetotellurik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, disusunlah suatu algoritma dengan mentransformasi respon impedansi permukaan menjadi respon logaritmik kompleks tak berdimensi yang invariant terhadap distorsi sehingga kesalahan perhitungannya tidak dipengaruhi faktor distorsi. Berdasarkan algoritma ini respon logaritmik permukaan dihitung secara rekursif dengan pendekatan linear melalui logaritma kontras konduktivitas antar lapisan. Perangkat lunak ini diujicoba terhadap empat model lapisan bumi. Dari keempat model yang diajukan, semuanya memenuhi syarat batas sebagai kurva respon 1-D MT karena –π/4 ≤ lm lobs ≤ π/4, sedangkan bagian real kurva respon hanya bergantung pada harga σ0. Jika σ0 makin besar maka bagian real kurva respon akan bergeser ke bagian atas dan sebaliknya, namun bentuknya tidak berubah. Karena itu, kurva respon logaritmik ini dapat digunakan sebagai kurva baku untuk estimasi distribusi konduktivitas lapisan material di bawah permukaan bumi 1-D.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this research was to find out the difference of students’ learning outcomes using guided inquiry learning model and conventional learning on static fluids topic at class XI SMA Cerdas Murni. The research method was quasi experiment. The population was all students at class XI SMA semester II SMA Cerdas Murni consist of 4 classes. The sample of this research conduct two classes and consist of 20 students, class XI-1 as experimental class and class XI-2 as control class and define by cluster random sampling. The result that was obtained: posttest average value in experimental class is 74.99 and posttest average value in control class is 65.33. Deviation standard in experimental class is 13.73 and in control class is 10.28. The average value of  students’ psychomotor in experimental class is 77.96, and the average value of students’ affective in experimental class is 80.67. Normality test result of both samples is normal and homogeneous, the testing criteria was accepted H0 if -2.024 < t’ < 2.024 and refuse H0 in other condition. Here, H0 was refused because t’ is 2.571 and Ha was accepted. So it can be concluded that the students’ learning outcome using guided inquiry learning model is greater than conventional learning.   Keywords : Guided Inquiry Learning Model, Students’ learning outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to find out the effectiveness of 5E learning cycle in dynamic electricity kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Medan in Academic Year 2012/2013. The research method was quasi experiment. The samples were divided into experiment and control class. Population in this research was all students of grade X in SMA Negeri 3 Medan. The sample in this research consist of two class X1 as experiment class and X2 as control class determine by simple random sampling. The results that were obtained: (1) the post-test mean value of the experiment class was 76.29 is good category and 69.29 was the mean value for control class is good enough category. Standard deviations for both classes were 10.31 and 9.48. The t count was 2.94 and t table was 1.99 then the tcount > ttable. Hence, alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected.(2) Furthermore, the mean value of student’s  learning outcomes in experiment class from affective and psychomotor domain were 72.68 and 71.6 while in control class were 69.7 and 69.8. It was concluded that there were no effect difference of 5E learning cycle and direct instruction learning model for affective and psychomotor domain on students learning outcomes in dynamic electricity.(3) In addition, the mean value of instrument’s sensitivity index in experiment class was 0.320  that was sensitive category while in control was 0.281  which meant that was not sensitive category. The percentage the result of class learning mastery in experiment class was 85.7% that was categorized passed meanwhile in control class was 57.1 % that categorized not passed. Then, the mean value of activities observation result in experiment class was 73.15 while in control class was 68.15 that were included in good category. It was concluded that 5E learning cycle is more effective than direct instruction learning model. Therefore, the effectiveness of 5E learning cycle was high on the student’s learning outcomes   Keywords: 5E learning cycle model, learning outcomes, effectiveness

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil dan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pemebelajaran Guided Discovery pada materi pokok Suhu dan Kalor di kelas X Semester II SMA Negeri 1 Kuala T.A. 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Semester II SMA Negeri 1 Kuala yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 7 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas XB sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X D sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahuihasil belajar siswa adalah test hasil belajar dalam bentuk essay tes dengan jumlah 12 soal. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery dan kelas kontrol dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil penelitian nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 43,75 dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 43,50. Pada pengujian awal dari dua kelas dinyatakan berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pada proses pembelajaran, nilai rata-rata aktivitas belajar pada kelas eksperimen 73,74 untuk nilai rata-rata postes pada kelas eksperimen 62,37 dan kelas kontrol 57,25. Dari hasil pengolahan data postes diperoleh bahwa thitung = 2,33 dan ttabel =1,99, sehingga thitung > ttabel 2,33 > 1,99 maka disimpulakan bahwa hasil belajar fisika dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar fisika pada pembelajaran Konvensional. Kata Kunci : Guided Discovery, Hasil Belajar, Aktivitas ABSTRACT The purpose of the study is to know the improvement of student’s learning outcomes and the learning activity by applying the Guided Discovery learning model in the subject matter of the Temperature and the Heat on second semester in tenth grade of SMA Negeri 1 Kuala. The kind of this study was quasi-experimental. The population of this study was entire tenth grade student on second semester of SMA Negeri 1 Kuala which consist of 7 classes. Sample was taking by cluster random sampling method which taking 2 of 7 classes randomly, that were class XB as experimental class and class XD as controller class. The instrument which used to know the student’s learning outcomes was learning outcomes test in essay which consisted of 12 questions. The experimental class was given the Guided Discovery learning model and the controller class was given the conventional learning model. The average value of exsperimental class’ pretest was43,75 with standart deviation was 11,04 and the average value of controller class’ pretest was 43,50 with standart deviation was 11,04. On pretest of the two classes was known normal and homogeneous distributed. On learning process, the average value of experimental class’ postest was 62,37 and the controller class was 57,25. From the result of postest data processing was got that thitung = 2,33 and ttabel = 1,994, so thitung > ttabel 2,33 > 1,994 then was described that the physics learning outcomes by applying the Guided Discovery learning model was higher than the physics learning outcomes by conventional model.
