Abstract

Tuberculosis has been recognized as a cause of morbidity and mortality during pregnancy, efforts have been made to implement a comprehensive TB screening and treatment program at high risk. The implementation of Integrated ANC is currently not in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for detecting TB disease in pregnancy. Research Objectives to analyze the implementation of the Integrated ANC in the Accuracy of Early Detection of Tuberculosis in Pregnancy. Sources of data obtained from PubMed and Science Direct. Inclusion Criteria: 1) Midwife, Dentist, General Physician, Laboratory Officer 2) Rapid Assessment Procedure 3) Full text, Articles for 2008-2018, International Journal. The search system uses comprehensive literature search, appraisal studies using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP), and synthesis methods using PEOS modification. The implementation of TB diagnostic is very limited and there may be an underdiagnosis of TB disease in pregnancy, although screening practices have been carried out, integration of training and supervision of TB diagnosis and treatment into ANC services is still needed. The search for journals from data sources to be analyzed is very limited. Based on the results of the implementation of early detection of TB disease has not been done properly. Undiagnosed still found in several studies. Then it is necessary to further study the accuracy of the diagnosis of tuberculosis.

Abstract

The problem of Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is the highest national priority that requires a focused solution. The highest MMR and IMR in DIY, namely Bantul Regency. MMR in 2022 was 16 cases, while IMR in 2022 was 90 cases, in 2023 there were 33 cases. The causes of maternal death are multifactorial, including postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia, sepsis, infection, and postpartum complications. In infants, common causes of death are asphyxia, transverse lie, and narrow pelvis. In addition, there is a delay in detecting and handling emergencies. And families do not yet have sufficient ability to recognize and detect high-risk pregnancies early. To make it easier for mothers to detect themselves earlier about recognizing danger signs, a technological innovation is needed that is packaged in an application that is used to identify danger signs in pregnant women, giving birth, postpartum and neonates. Type of experimental quantitative research with one group pre-test – post-test design. The design in this study did not use a control group but used a group that was given an intervention, namely Health promotion using the SIGNAL application and then given observations before and after. The population was 30 mothers who used the SIGNAL application in Bantul Regency. The sampling technique used in this study was Purposive Sampling. The type of instrument in this study was a questionnaire sheet. The research period was September to October 2024. Based on the results of the t-test analysis (paired sample t-test), it can be obtained that t count is greater than t table, which is 37.470> 1.68488 and Sig. (2 tailed) = 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The significance result is 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the hypothesis states that there is a difference in the results of maternal knowledge about pregnancy, postpartum and BBL emergencies before and after using the SIGNAL Application. After using the SIGNYAL application, pregnant women's knowledge about pregnancy, postpartum and newborn emergencies increased.

Abstract

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common non-communicable diseases among the elderly and can reduce quality of life if not properly managed. Non-pharmacological interventions such as health education and hypertension exercise are effective strategies to control blood pressure. This community service activity aimed to improve elderly knowledge and assist blood pressure control through health education and hypertension exercise. The activity was conducted in Mangir Lor Village, Sendangsari, Pajangan, Bantul Regency, involving five elderly participants aged 64–75 years. The methods included initial observation, health education on hypertension, hypertension exercise practice, and monitoring exercise implementation three times per week. The results showed an improvement in the elderly’s understanding of hypertension and the benefits of physical activity, as well as a tendency toward decreased blood pressure after regularly participating in hypertension exercise. Participants also demonstrated good enthusiasm and were able to recall the educational material provided. This activity indicates that combining health education with hypertension exercise can serve as an effective promotive and preventive approach to hypertension control among the elderly at the community level.

Abstract

Household health emergencies may occur suddenly and pose a serious threat to life if not managed promptly and appropriately. Limited community knowledge and preparedness often lead to delays in providing first aid before professional medical care is obtained. This activity aimed to improve community preparedness for household health emergencies through education and simulation. An educative–participatory approach with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design was applied. The intervention consisted of interactive health education, discussions, and first aid simulations for common household emergency conditions. Evaluation was conducted using questionnaires and observations before and after the activity and analyzed descriptively. The results demonstrated improvements in community knowledge, attitudes, and preparedness in recognizing and responding to household health emergencies. The combination of education and simulation proved effective in fostering responsive attitudes and increasing community confidence in emergency situations. This activity is expected to support promotive and preventive efforts in creating safer and more responsive household environments toward health emergencies.

Abstract

Young adults, including students and early-career workers, often maintain unhealthy eating habits due to reliance on fast food and digital delivery services. This community service program aimed to enhance nutritional literacy and healthy diet management skills using the "Isi Piringku" (My Plate) concept. The methods employed included participatory education, food label literacy, and practical simulations for choosing healthy menus at local food stalls (warteg) and through online delivery apps. The program involved 30 participants aged 19-27. Evaluation results showed a significant knowledge increase, with average scores rising from 41.7 to 88.7 (a 47% improvement). Furthermore, 90% of participants successfully demonstrated how to arrange a balanced nutritional plate on a limited budget during simulation sessions. In conclusion, practical simulation-based education effectively changes young adults' perception that healthy eating is affordable and accessible. This initiative is expected to prevent non-communicable diseases by fostering independent and better nutritional choices in the digital era.
