Abstract

High blood pressure is a risk factor for stroke, heart attack, heart failure and arterial aneurysm, and is a major cause of chronic heart failure. The study design using analytic cross sectional study. The population in this study were 21 respondents who once used as a sample to the sampling technique total sampling. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. Family roles research results indicate that the majority of respondents are negative role of the family as many as 12 respondents (57.1%). The intensity of blood pressure showed at most down as many as 8 respondents (38.1%). Cross tabulation shows the most is the respondents who have a positive family role and the intensity drop in blood pressure that is as much as 8 respondents (38.1%). Spearman rho correlation test results obtained Asymp.Sig value of 0.000, which means there is a relationship role of the family in caring for the elderly with the intensity of the blood pressure in the hamlet village Jogodayo Jabon Mojoanyar District of Mojokerto. Family roles affect blood pressure decrease in the intensity of the respondents. Family nursing task is to provide facilities, equipment and support to the elderly to maintain blood pressure by providing facilities, providing information, encouragement and motivation to the elderly to maintain blood pressure.

Abstract

Hypertension is a degenerative disease that characterized by an increase in blood pressure over normal limits. Hypertension become the most common comorbid disease in cases of death due to Covid-19. Compliance with hypertension patients is needed in order to obtain a better quality of life for sufferers. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the adherence in undergoing hypertension treatment management at the UPTD Puskesmas Sukawati II Gianyar Bali. This study used observational research with a crosssectional design. The variables studied included independent variables consisting of education, age, duration of suffering from hypertension, knowledge about hypertension, and family support. The dependent variable in this study was adherence in undergoing hypertension treatment management. The population in this study were all hypertensive patients as many as 757 people. The sample in this study were 88 hypertensive patients who fit the inclusion criteria who were selected using simple random sampling. The effect of education, age, duration of suffering from hypertension, knowledge about hypertension, and family support on patient adherence was analyzed using logistic regression and SEM.The results showed that there was an influence between education and age on adherence in undergoing hypertension treatment management in hypertensive patients (p value = 0.003), there was an influence between length of illness on adherence to undergoing treatment (pvalue = 0.043), there was an effect of knowledge about hypertension on adherence undergoing treatment management (pvalue=0.002), there is an effect of family support on adherence undergoing treatment management (pvalue=0.000), and family support is proven to be a mediator variable between education and knowledge of patient compliance in undergoing treatment management at the puskesmas (p value = 0.034 and 0.018).Patient education and knowledge about hypertension affect the support provided by the family and family support has a direct effect on patient adherence undergoing treatment management

Abstract

Visual impairment in preschool-aged children is a significant public health concern because it may adversely affect cognitive development, learning performance, social interactions, and overall quality of life. Several factors, including parental characteristics, outdoor activities, and exposure to digital devices, have been suggested as potential contributors to impaired vision in early childhood. This study was to identify the factors associated with visual acuity among preschool children attending TK Elfath, Sumenep Regency. An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted involving 80 preschool children selected through a total sampling technique Data on respondent characteristics were collected using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability, Visual acuity is measured with a direct vision screening examination utilising an E card. (tumbling E chart) at a standard distance of 3 meters according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The data were analyzed by using Chi-square tests followed by multiple logistic regression to determine the most influential predictor of visual impairment. The findings revealed that 86.3% of participants had normal visual acuity, whereas 13.8% were identified as having visual impairment. Bivariate analysis demonstrated that parental educational level, child sex, outdoor activity, and parental history of visual disorders were not significantly associated with visual impairment (p > 0.05). In contrast, screen exposure showed a statistically significant relationship with impaired vision (p < 0.001). Multivariate analysis further confirmed screen exposure as the strongest determinant of visual impairment. These findings highlight the importance of limiting screen time and strengthening parental awareness to support healthy visual development in preschool children.

Abstract

Integrated Primary Care (IPC) is one of the strategic initiatives of Indonesia’s Primary Healthcare Transformation Program aimed at strengthening primary healthcare services through integrated, comprehensive, and life-cycle-oriented care. The implementation of IPC is expected to improve service quality and ultimately enhance patient satisfaction. However, empirical evidence regarding the relationship between IPC implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction remains limited, particularly within community health center settings. This study aimed to analyze the influence of Integrated Primary Care implementation on patient satisfaction and to examine the mediating role of service quality at Talango Community Health Center, Sumenep Regency. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 125 healthcare service users at Talango Community Health Center. Respondents were selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data were collected through structured questionnaires measuring IPC implementation, service quality, and patient satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS version 4. The findings revealed that IPC implementation had a positive and significant effect on service quality (β = 0.415; p < 0.001). Service quality demonstrated a positive but statistically insignificant effect on patient satisfaction (β = 0.168; p = 0.087). Furthermore, IPC implementation did not significantly influence patient satisfaction (β = −0.085; p = 0.432). Mediation analysis indicated that service quality failed to significantly mediate the relationship between IPC implementation and patient satisfaction (β = 0.070; p = 0.127). IPC implementation significantly improved perceived service quality but did not significantly increase patient satisfaction, either directly or indirectly through service quality mediation. These findings suggest that patient satisfaction is influenced by broader factors beyond service quality, including patient experience, healthcare accessibility, communication effectiveness, and facility comfort. Strengthening patient-centered healthcare approaches may be essential to maximize the benefits of IPC implementation.
