Abstract

This research aims to determine: 1) the effect of the comparison of the use of husk charcoal growing media with soil on the growth of pakcoy plants, 2) the effect of the application of liquid organic fertilizer (SO-Kontan Fert) on the growth of pakcoy plants, 3) the effect of a combination of rice husk planting media with soil and POC (SO-Kontan Fert) application to the growth of pakcoy plants. This research was conducted from January to March 2020 at the screen house of Melung Village, Baturraden District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java and the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, with Andisol soil types. The experimental design used was a completely randomized block design (RAKL) with a 2-factor factorial design. The first factor is husk charcoal (M), namely, M0 = without husk charcoal, M1 = soil + husk charcoal (1: 1), M2 = soil (2: 1), soil + husk charcoal (3: 1). The second factor is the concentration of POC SO-Kontan Fert (P), namely, P0 = 0 ml POC SO-Kontan Fert / Lt water, P1 = 5 ml POC SO-Kontan Fert / Lt water, P2 = 10 ml POC SO-Kontan Fert / Lt water, P3 = 15 ml POC SO-Kontan Fert / Lt water. Results of the research showed that giving husk charcoal to pakcoy plant media at a ratio of 3: 1 was able to increase plant height by 47.19 cm and leaf length by 26.13 cm ,. A ratio of 2: 1 can increase leaf greenness by 2.8 units. The application of liquid organic fertilizer (SO-Kontan Fert) with a concentration of 5 ml / l was able to increase the number of leaves by 6.59.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of ecoenzyme concentration on the growth of red spinach plants in a hydroponic floating raft system conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. Ecoenzyme application treatment, namely: 0 ppm; 1000 ppm; 2000 ppm; and 3000 ppm with 6 replications arranged based on Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL). Observations made consisted of: plant height, number of leaves, root length, leaf area, and root volume. The F test (ANOVA) at an error level of 5% was carried out to find out whether the treatment affected the observed variables. The LSD test at an error level of 5% is carried out if the F test is real. The results showed that the plant height of red spinach 2 MST was not affected by differences in ecoenzyme concentrations in the nutrient media; Plant height at 4 WAP with 1000 ppm ecoenzyme treatment was the highest and plant height at 6 WAP with 0 ppm and 1000 ppm ecoenzyme treatment was not different, while plant height growth with 2000 ppm and 3000 ppm treatment was lower. The number of leaves at 2 WAP, 4 WAP and 6 WAP, root length, leaf area, and root volume in all treatments of ecoenzyme concentration application showed no difference.

Abstract

Plana Village located in Somagede District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province is about 25 km Southeast of the Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Campus. In this village, a small business group is engaged in freshwater fish farming under the names TIRTA LESTARI and GAPOKTAN PLANA JAYA fish cultivator groups. Based on direct observations, the group uses the Serayu River as the primary water source for their fish ponds. The position of the fish pond is around 10 meters higher than the river flow so the water lifting process is carried out using a water pump. The only solution for providing water is to use a machine-powered water pump. The group complained about this solution because they had to pay operational costs for engine fuel. As a result, the group's profits are not optimized. Considering these conditions, a water pump technology transfer activity with a waterwheel as the driving force is planned to develop the results of research and service carried out in the Physics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman.  The goal of the operations that have been conducted is to address partner concerns regarding the provision of water supplies. Activities aimed at becoming an economically productive partner will prioritize key issues, including the implementation of green energy technology, such as hybrid water pumps powered by solar energy and river flow. The next step involves providing training and counseling sessions for the TIRTA LESTARI agriculture group and the merged PLANA JAYA farming group.
