Abstract

The study aims to determine the feasibility (RCR) and the break-even point (BEP) of tofu making business. The method used is a case study on "Berkat Sekumpul" company in Martapura. The study was conducted for 6 (six) months starting from October 2012 to March 2013. The results showed the business is feasible, the RCR is 1.13 and break even on sales of 4,902 sheet at a price on Rp 51,260 per sheet, - or return on Rp 25,275,000,-

Abstract

Desa Sapala terletak di kawasan rawa yang memiliki sumber daya perikanan yang melimpah terutama ikan haruan dan ikan sepat. Salah satu pola kehidupan masyarakatnya adalah “meiwak” (sebutan bagi nelayan yang mencari ikan). Pada musim kemarau produktivitas ikan melimpah, sehingga pendapatan masyarakatnya meningkat, namun ketika musim hujan, produktivitasnya menurun yang berdampak pada menurunnya pendapatan sehingga biasanya “Paiwakan “(sebutan untuk para nelayan) mencari pekerjaan serabutan yang tidak menentu. Peranan para perempuan rawa (isteri Paiwakan) menjadi sangat penting dalam menjaga kelangsungan hidup rumah tangganya. Kedudukan sosial perempuan rawa bukan karena kesetaraan gender, namun lebih pada tuntutan alamiah dalam menjaga kelangsungan hidup mereka. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberdayakan perempuan rawa dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan agar dapat mandiri secara ekonomi dan sosial melalui implementasi teknologi pengolahan ikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah berupa penyuluhan, pelatihan dan praktik pengolahan ikan, bimbingan teknis dan pendampingan usaha serta evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan dapat diketahui bahwa semua tahapan kegiatan dapat dilaksanakan dengan lancar dan peserta sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini yang belum pernah ada sebelumnya. Peserta ikut terlibat aktif dalam pelatihan dan praktik pengolahan ikan dan diantara peserta ada yang menindaklanjuti usaha pengolahan ikan dalam bentuk abon ikan haruan dan ikan sepat kering.

Abstract

Hulu Sungai Utara Regency is one of the regencies in South Kalimantan which is known as a swamp area, one of which is Sapala Village. The lifestyle of the community is raising swamp buffalo, but the productivity of swamp buffalo is influenced by the season. In the rainy season, the productivity of swamp buffalo is relatively lower when compared to the dry season, so that family income decreases. Farmers look for uncertain odd jobs so that the economic burden they feel is very heavy. Therefore, the role of swamp women (the wives of farmers) is very important in helping their family's economy. The purpose of this activity is to empower women in the swamp area in increasing their knowledge and skills so that they can be economically and socially independent through training and mentoring in Processing of Shredded and Meatballs. The methods used in this activity are in the form of counseling, training and practice of meat processing, technical guidance and business mentoring as well as evaluation and follow-up. Based on the results of the activity, it can be seen that all stages of the activity can be carried out smoothly and the participants are very enthusiastic about participating in this activity. Participants are actively involved in training and practice in Processing of Shredded and Meatballs. The interest of participants to participate in this activity is high, which is 90% and moderate 10%. The skills of participants in processing shredded and meatballs of swamp buffalo meat are categorized as skilled by 18 people (90%) and 2 others are categorized as moderate (10%)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the technical and prospect of making curcuma herbal medicine in Tanjung Rema Martapura Village. The research method uses analysis with descriptive, qualitative and quantitative methods so as to obtain the desired picture, related to the cost structure and income of the curcuma herbal medicine business. The results showed that the technique of making curcuma herbal drink in Tanjung Rema Village, Martapura District was still relatively traditional and simple. Based on the income value obtained by the SANI entrepreneur and the Mama Ratih entrepreneur, they are both efficient, because the R/C ratio value is > 1. The revenue from the business of making curcuma herbal drinks in one month for Sani entrepreneurs is Rp. 39,840,000 and Mama Ratih is Rp. 24,960,000. with an average of Rp.32,400,000. The income that the entrepreneur Sani receives per month is Rp. 12,888,554 and Mama Ratih is Rp. 9,167,686, for the profit of the entrepreneur Sani is Rp. 9,180,221 and Mama Ratih is Rp. 6,017,686. The prospect of developing the Curcuma Herbal Medicine Business in Tanjung Rema Martapura Village is very wide open when viewed from market demand as well as the availability of raw materials and the long term.
