Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) have been carried out regarding the management of chemical education laboratories in the form of training. The training was given to teachers of Blitar Regency MGMP members. The training activities aimed to increase teachers' knowledge about the management and management of the Chemistry Education Laboratory. The implementation method started from preparation and planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' understanding of the management of chemical laboratory. Training activities can be carried out well, and receive positive responses from participants. As many as 67% of participants sent a report on the implementation of laboratory management tasks as a post test in their respective schools. Related to the implementation of the evaluation of the training showed a positive response as indicated by the dominant percentage in the positive (very good and good) total answer statements between 70-90%. Judging from its total usefulness, 89% stated that training activities were very useful and beneficial.

Abstract

The majority of the population in Indonesia is Muslim, so a halal food guarantee is needed. In addition toconsuming healthy food, it is better for the community now to start getting used to implementing halal food.Halal food is essentially food that is obtained and processed in the right way according to religion. Whilegood food can be considered with reasonable and health measures. The purpose of this activity is toincrease community understanding, especially in Marengan Laok village, regarding halal products and safeadditives and their effects on health. The training is carried out by way of socializing and counselinghealthy and halal food. The results obtained were an increase in the understanding of the participants ofthe training on halal and healthy products as well as being able to identify food grade materials and theofficial halal logo from the MUI. The response of participants to this activity was very good based on thequestionnaire responses given.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease-19 (Covid-19) adalah penyakit yang memberikan resiko kematian yang sangat tinggi. Alternatif pencegahan adalah dengan konsumsi susu kedelai berempah karena dapat meningkatkan imun dan kaya antioksidan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk (1) memberikan pengetahuan tentang Covid-19 dan cara penanggulangannya, (2) memberikan keterampilan pembuatan sari kedelai berempah, dan (3) melakukan sosialisasi produk kepada masyarakat oleh peserta latih. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dan diunggah melalui youtube https://youtu.be/mb_6H2biczA, dilanjutkan praktek mandiri dan sosialisasi produk hasil praktek mandiri kepada masyarakat sekitar. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta latih memberikan respon bahwa materi pengetahuan tentang Covid-19 dan cara pembuatan sari kedelai adalah penting dan cara penyajiannya sangat menarik. Sebanyak 86.7 % peserta menyatakan bahwa materi adalah baru, dan 60% peserta menjawab akan mempraktekkan hasil pelatihan. Satu orang peserta telah mampu menginisiasi tetangganya untuk berwirausaha dan telah menerima pesanan. Sebanyak 86.7 % peserta latih telah melakukan sosialisasi kepada keluarga (46.7%), tetangga (33.3%) dan teman kantor  (13.3%). Tanggapan peserta sosialisasi terhadap  produk sari kedelai rempah menyatakan suka (46.7%) sampai sangat suka (53.3%), Respon peserta sosialisasi menyatakan bahwa mereka menyatakan kegiatan ini cukup manfaat (33.3%) hingga sangat manfaat (66.7%) dan 100 % berkeinginan untuk mengetahui pembuatan sari kedelai rempah.Kata Kunci: Covid-19, imunitas, sari kedelai berempah, pelatihan

Abstract

Virus Corona ini telah melanda sekitar 152 negara di dunia yang tersebar di semua benua termasuk negara Indonesia. Propinsi Jawa Timur menempati urutan tertinggi jumlah positip Covid 19 dan dikategorikan dalam zona merah di 32 kota dan kabupaten termasuk Tuban. Pencegahan penyebaran virus corona dapat dilakukan dengan cara menjaga jarak aman, menggunakan masker dan mencuci tangan dengan air mengalir atau menggunakan sabun. Sabun cuci tangan mengandung bahan antiseptic yang dapat membunuh virus. Universitas Negeri Surabaya mempunyai potensi dosen-dosen yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk membuat sabun cuci tangan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat sabun cuci tangan untuk memutus rantai penyebaran Covid 19 khususnya di Kabupaten Tuban. Telah berhasil memproduksi sabun cuci tangan kemasan 500 mL sebanyak 500 buah dan telah diserahkan ke Kabupaten Tuban melalui Unit Crisis Center Unesa. Bantuan diterima oleh Bupati Tuban dan didistribusikan ke masyarakat Tuban yang membutuhkan. Kata Kunci: sabun cuci tangan, Covid-19, Tuban

Abstract

Abstrak. Bakteri endofit memiliki kemampuan untuk memproduksi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang diduga sebagai akibat transfer genetik dari tanaman inangnya ke dalam bakteri endofit. Beberapa senyawa metabolit yang dihasilkan bakteri endofit berfungsi sebagai agen biokontrol tanaman, antibakteri, antijamur, antidiabetes, antiinflamasi, dan antioksidan. Telah dilakukan isolasi bakteri endofit dari daun jambu biji (Psidium guajava L.) yang diduga dapat menghasilkan antioksidan. Isolasi bakteri menggunakan metode sterilisasi permukaan (surface sterilization) dengan perendaman menggunakan NaOCl dan alkohol. Isolat bakteri endofit diperoleh sebanyak dua, yaitu isolat bakteri endofit A dan B yang memiliki morfologi koloni yang berbeda, yaitu morfologi koloni isolat bakteri endofit A berbentuk tidak teratur, tepian utuh, permukaan rata, dan berwarna putih hampir bening, sedangkan isolat bakteri endofit B berbentuk tidak teratur, tepian keriting, permukaan rata, dan berwarna keputih-putihan. Hasil uji metabolit sekunder menunjukkan bahwa isolat bakteri endofit A dan B memiliki kandungan flavanoid dan fenolik. Uji antioksidan menggunakan metode peredaman radikal bebas DPPH (1,1–diphenyl-2-picryhidrazil) menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis pada λ516 nm menggunakan asam askorbat sebagai kontrol positif. Berdasarkan hasil uji diperoleh nilai (IC50) isolat bakteri endofit A pada fraksi metanol yaitu 201,8010 ppm dan pada fraksi etil asetat 232,9740 ppm. Nilai (IC50) isolat bakteri endofit B pada fraksi metanol yaitu 146,9645 ppm dan pada fraksi etil asetat 189,8048 ppm. Aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi dimiliki oleh isolat bakteri endofit B pada fraksi metanol dan diklasifikasikan sebagai antioksidan sedang. Endophytic bacteria have the ability to produce secondary metabolites which are thought to be a result of genetic transfer from host plant into endophytic bacteria. Several secondary metabolites that can be produced by endophytic bacteria used to biocontrol agent, antibacterial, antifungal, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant. This research has been done about isolation of Endophytic Bacteria on Guajava Leaf (Psidium guajava L) which are thought to produce antioxidant. Bacterila isolation using the surface sterilization method by siaking using NaOCl and alcohol. Two bacterila were obtained, namely endophytic bacterial isolates A and endophytic bacterial isolates B which had different colony morphology, morphology of bacterial isolate A is irregular shaped, entire edge, flat surface, and almost transculent white, whereas bacterial endophytic bacterial isolates B is irregular shaped, undunate edge, flat surface, and whitish. Secondary metabolites test results showed that endophytic bacterial isolates A and B contained flavonoids and phenolics. Antioxidant test using using DPPH radical scavenging method (1,1–diphenyl-2-picryhidrazil) using Spectrophotometer UV-Vis at λ 516 nm used ascorbat acid as positive control. Based on the test results obtained (IC50) value of endophytic bacterial isolates A in the methanol fraction is 201,8010 ppm and in the ethyl acetate fraction 232,9740 ppm. The value (IC50) of endophytic bacteria isolates B in the methanol fraction was 146,9645 ppm and in the ethyl acetate fraction 189,8048 ppm. The highest antioxidant activity is possessed by endophytic bacterial isolates B in the methanol fraction and is classified as a moderate antioxidant. Abstract

Abstrak. Xantin oksidase adalah enzim yang mengkatalisis oksidasi hipoxantin menjadi xantin dan kemudian xantin menjadi asam urat yang memerankan peran penting dalam katabolisme purin. Xantin oksidase dapat diisolasi dari berbagai sumber susu, jaringan hewan, dan mikroorganisme baik mesofilik maupun termofilik. Pemurnian enzim xantin oksidase untuk mendapatkan aktivitas enzim yang tinggi telah dilakukan dengan berbagai metode antara lain, presipitasi amonium sulfat, dialisis, dan berbagai macam metode kromatografi. Pengukuran aktivitas enzim xantin oksidase dapat dilakukan secara in vintro dengan mengukur kadar produk ataupun kadar substrat yang beraksi. xantin oksidae berpotensi diaplikasikan dalam bidang medis sebagai kit, bidang industri sebagai biosensor dan penyiapan makanan sehat rendah purin, serta dalam bidang lingkungan hidup sebagai bioremediasi senyawa heterogen siklik yang berbahaya. Xanthine oxidase is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine and then xanthine to uric acid which be an important role in purine catabolism. Xanthine oxidase can be isolated from various sources of milk, animal tissue, and mesophilic and thermophilic microorganisms. Purification of xanthine oxidase to obtain high enzyme activity has been carried out by various methods include ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis, and various chromatographic methods. Measurement of xanthine oxidase enzyme activity can be doing by in vitro with measuring product levels or substrate levels in action. xanthine oxide has the potential to be applied in the medical field as a kit, in the industrial field as a biosensor and preparation of low purine healthy foods, as well as in the environmental field as a bioremediation of dangerous cyclic heterogeneous compounds. Abstract

Gresik Regency is very rich in its typical food involving UMKM. They were still use many synthetic additives such as dyes, flavors, and flavorings with the aim of beautifying the appearance and strengthening the taste. The continuous use of synthetic additives can interfere with health and also many have not met halal criteria. They do not know or apathetic to the dangers posed by the use of additives, so it is necessary to carry out socialization related to healthy and halal ingredients. The methods used are counseling and practice of identifying ingredients based on nutritional composition and critical ingredients and conducting evaluations through response questionnaires. The results showed that 36.4% of participants did not know how to identify halal products; 36.5 – 45.5% still use synthetic additives and 90.9% their knew the effects of using synthetic additives. The practice showed that UMKM do not understand critical materials so that follow-up needs on understanding critical materials.
