Abstract

Waste is discharged from a production process both industrial and domestic (household). According to the regulation number 18 of 2008 on waste management, it is mentioned that waste is the rest of the daily activities of humans or natural processes in the form of solid or semi-solid form of organic or inorganic substances. With the factors that cause damage to the environment because of waste, the Government of Makassar City with various shortcomings and challenges and obstacles experienced in handling the waste problem has also been fully aware of this. The local regulation on waste management of Makassar City, referring to the Regional Regulation of Makassar City Number 4 of 2011 on waste management. Classifying patterns of community behavior in disposing of waste to support the work program of the Makassar city government especially the Makassar Environmental Service to deal with waste management and environmental quality monitoring issues. This study aims to assist the Government of Makassar City in making programs to handle waste problems by applying K-Means Algorithm. The results of this study provide information on waste handling that takes place in the city of Makassar and reporting that helps and involves the Government and the City of Makassar's Office of Environment on the handling and management of solid waste regarding services and facilities that have been met.

Abstract

The development of information technology in Makassar has implemented the smart city concept. The mission of urban development is to build the economy of urban communities that have superior capacity, competitiveness, productivity, creativity, innovation, efficiency and use information technology to utilize the waste generated by the community and companies. Cities have problems stemming from development by producing waste in the form of organic and inorganic waste. To empower the community, city governance is needed with a design concept that continues towards green technology. The aim of the research is to design a model that can sort and identify waste based on various types of organic matter that can be used as raw material for making biomass briquettes as a renewable alternative energy source. Research uses deep learning methods as part of machine learning in solving object detection problems in digital image classification in computer vision. The research resulted in a classification model design based on object detection by classifying 5 types of organic waste.

Abstract

The development of business world is entering the era of big data. In meeting supermarkets' sales and purchase targets, the management needs to improve themselves in managing the goods available in the store. The research aims to determine the pattern of purchases that occur in a transaction, find out related and related products in supermarkets, and improve supermarket services to customers. The method applied uses the association rules approach to data mining. Several purchasing data from customers have been able to be analyzed by displaying a diagram as a visualization of the number of specified association rules. The processing results show a relationship above 90%: sugar and coffee with a confidence of 94.4%, shirts and trousers with a confidence of 93.4%, and sugar, milk, and coffee with a confidence of 92.0%. Decisions that can be taken by supermarket management in providing places and goods need to consider and follow product relationships and proximity based on the highest confidence value to provide services to customers effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The use of Social Media (Medsos) applications and the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has developed and is influential in various fields of human life. The use of computers in the digital era is part of the life of Catholic Youth. The correct use of computers in various OMK activities can increase effectiveness, efficiency and measurability. The existence of the journalistic field can influence the ability and increase the creative power and sensitivity of OMK in filling public spaces. However, various journalistic activities such as reporting and publication carried out by OMK through various means such as social media are often still constrained by aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills. This causes various OMK activities to not be able to make a positive and real contribution so that journalistic training is needed. The aim of training for OMK is to enrich knowledge, shape attitudes and improve skills for various ICT-based journalistic activities. Journalistic training methods include the first stage: pre-training (questionnaire), the second stage: training implementation (lectures, writing practice, presentations), and the third stage: training evaluation (interviews and questionnaires). The results of journalism training showed good and very good values ​​in the cognitive aspects of 35 people or 71.42%, affective 42 people or 85.71%, and psychomotor 36 people or 73.46% so it is hoped that OMK can improve various journalistic activities by utilizing ICT in the digital era so that it becomes professional.

Abstract

Digital images can experience various disturbances in acquisition and storage, one of which is a disturbance indicated by damage to certain areas of the image field and causes the loss of some of the information represented by the image. One of the ways to restore an image experiencing disturbances like this is with image completion technology. Image completion is an image restoration technology capable of filling in or completing missing or corrupted parts of an image. Various methods have been developed for this image completion, starting from those based on basic image processing to the latest relying on artificial intelligence algorithms. This study aims to develop and implement an image completion model based on deep learning with the transfer learning method from the completion.net architecture. Using the Facesrub training dataset consisting of a collection of unique facial photos allows the model to understand facial attributes better. Compared to conventional image completion based on image patches, the method developed in this study can perform image filling in image gaps with more realistic results. Based on visual tests conducted on respondents, the results obtained enable respondents to understand all the information represented by the restored image, similar to the original image.

Abstract

Currently, Artificial Intelligence has penetrated almost every application and site on the Internet. This has had an impact on the world of education, business, etc. In addition to making it easier for humans to carry out their activities, this can also have negative effects if the response from the AI ​​chatbot is inaccurate or even misleading. In this article, the author has conducted experiments on several free versions of popular chatbots, namely ChatGPT, Gemini (Bard), AI Chat and Aichatting. AI chatbots are very helpful in the field of general knowledge, finding solutions to problems and creating creations, such as fiction, or guiding the creation of scientific reports. Users must understand and be observant in using this chatbot because the response is very dependent on the input given. Questions that contain errors will get different responses. All responses given by the AI ​​chatbot are suggestions, not something that must be followed absolutely. This is because the user is responsible for the consequences, not AI. AI has ethics in providing responses so that it will not produce negative answers or direct users to things that violate the rules. The factors that are the main measurements are speed, accuracy, completeness, understanding of questions, response variations, ability to handle input errors and ability to provide solutions. The four chatbots tested each have their own strengths and weaknesses, but there is one that has the most features and variations in its responses, namely Gemini (Bard).

Abstract

The dynamics of students in high school currently face various strong and unique challenges related to understanding journalism and the use of social media tools in the millennial era. The use of computers is a real activity of Youth Catholic Community (YCC) which continues to be dynamic. The problems faced by Cenderawasih Catholic High School and Frater High School students in using social media are a lack of good and wise knowledge and understanding, still having an emotional nature or lack of self-control, and not using social media applications constructively. Student learning practices still require serious efforts to increase productivity to be targeted, effective and measurable. The training aims to educate school students in understanding journalistic concepts with 3 (three) main aspects in the use of social media in the millennial era, namely: cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (skills) to produce creative social media content with character constructive. Training methods include pre-training (information questionnaire), training implementation (tutorial, practice, and presentation) and training evaluation (rubric questionnaire). The training has educated students in understanding journalistic concepts with 3 (three) aspects of using social media in the millennial era. The results of the evaluation of 30 students, namely: cognitive aspects of 18 people or 60.00%, affective aspects of 22 people or 73.33%, and psychomotoric aspects of 21 people or 70.00%, so it can be said that in general students have been able to understand the use of social media well good.

Abstract

Dinamika pendidikan di era digital telah menciptakan peluang dalam menghadirkan ruang belajar inklusif dalam mendukung keragaman. Ruang belajar inklusif tidak hanya berarti memberikan akses yang setara, tetapi berupaya menciptakan lingkungan yang menyambut dan memberdayakan setiap peserta didik. Masalah yang terjadi adalah kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kompetensi, keterbatasan pelatihan bagi guru (penyuluh), minimnya sarana dan prasarana sekolah (sapra), serta dukungan kebijakan dari pihak sekolah. Tujuan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah menghasilkan suatu rekomendasi. Metode yang digunakan dengan peningkatan kompetensi berbasis inovasi dan kreativitas teknologi terdiri dari memberikan materi pendidikan dasar inklusif, penyebaran kuesioner, dan rekomendasi program kerja. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa guru telah mampu mengetahui dan memahami dalam penciptaan ruang belajar inklusif secara efektif melalui inovasi dan kreativitas teknologi.
