Abstract

Abstract This article aims to foster character education for the younger generation as agents of national change. One of the steps and the right way to implement character education is through local history. Cianjur is an area that is famous for its culture and historical traces. Famous in this area are the three pillars of culture, namely Ngaos, Mamaos, and Maenpo. So that this community service activity is carried out in Cianjur Regency, especially in Bobojong Village. This PKM activity is focused on youth. The method used in this service consists of three stages, namely (1) Planning, in which researchers coordinate between Postgraduate UNJ and the Cianjur Regency, (2) Implementation Phase, which is carried out on June 25, 2022, activities are carried out by holding discussions about local history in Bobojong Village, and (3) the evaluation stage, namely by distributing questionnaires to participants, so that the results obtained with this activity greatly helped the youth in increasing knowledge, especially about history, and fostered the interest of the youth to love history. Therefore, utilizing local history is the right step to instill character in the younger generation. Indonesia, which is rich in culture and historical traces, is very interesting if it can be used to foster character education in the younger generation. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan pendidikan karakter kepada generasi muda sebagai agen perubahan bangsa. Salah satu langkah dan cara tepat dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter adalah melalui sejarah lokal. Cianjur adalah wilayah yang terkenal dengan budaya dan jejak-jejak sejarah. Yang terkenal di wilayah ini adalah tiga pilar budaya yaitu Ngaos, Mamaos, dan Maenpo. Sehingga kegiatan pengabdian masyrakat ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Cianjur, Khususnya di Desa Bobojong. Kegiatan PKM ini difokuskan kepada para pemuda. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu (1) Perencanaan, yaitu peneliti melakukan koordinasi antara Pascasarjana UNJ dan pihak Kabupaten Cianjur, (2) Tahap Pelaksanaan, yaitu dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25 Juni 2022, kegiatan dilakukan dengan mengadakan diskusi tentang sejarah lokal yang ada di Desa Bobojong, dan (3) Tahap evaluasi, yaitu dengan menyebarkan anket kepada peserta, sehingga di dapat hasil dengan adanya kegiatan ini sangat membantu para pemuda dalam menambah pengetahuan khususnya tentang sejarah, dan menumbuhkan ketertarikkan para pemuda untuk mencintai sejarah. Oleh karena itu dengan memanfaatkan sejarah lokal merupakan langkah yang tepat untuk menanamkan karakter pada generasi muda. Indonesia yang kaya akan budaya dan jejak-jejak sejarah sangat menarik jika bisa dimanfaatkan dalam menumbuhkan pendidikan karakter pada generasi muda.

Abstract

In the Merdeka curriculum, local history is one of the essential materials. One of the most critical periods in local history in Malang is the cultuurstelsel period, but currently, there are no teaching materials about this period. HIMO is a printed local history module about the cultuurstelsel period with media integration that allows students to various conditions (regular and inclusive). This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of HIMO in improving local history understanding and learning motivation. This research method is R&D using the ADDIE model. In the analysis stage, the researcher analyzed student needs and the curriculum, which was continued with the design stage. In the development stage, HIMO was declared very feasible by material experts (average score of 98%) and teaching materials experts (average score of 89%) with several revisions. Furthermore, the implementation stage was carried out in an inclusive school in Malang (101 students as subjects) with research instruments in the form of comprehension tests and learning motivation questionnaires. Based on the implementation results, it was found that HIMO can improve understanding (94% of students) and learning motivation (average score 77%). Based on these results, at the evaluation stage, HIMO was declared suitable as local history teaching material for inclusive schools.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and also understand Soekarno's Islamic journey which aims to see how far Soekarno's understanding is in understanding himself as a Muslim; see the role of HOS Tjokroaminoto and Kiai Haji Ahmad Dahlan in influencing Soekarno regarding modernist Islamic thought and see the influence of HOS Tjokroaminoto and Kiai Haji Ahmad Dahlan in influencing Soekarno's thoughts on Islam. The method used is the historical narrative method. The results of this study are able to explain the background and influence of these two figures on Soekarno in understanding his religion. Can know and understand Soekarno's journey to know and explore Islam. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that along Soekarno's journey to know Islam there was an important role of HOS Tjokroaminoto and K.H Ahmad Dahlan in giving influence, understanding and Islamic thought to Soekarno. Therefore, the purpose of these figures in proclaiming modern Islamic thoughts is solely for the benefit of Muslims so that they are always ready to face future challenges.

Abstract

Generation Z is known as a generation that has a high interest in digital things. The problem of this research, namely how the Generation Z Visitors' Experience of Digital Technology Implementation Services at Bekasi Museum. The purpose of this study is to describe Generation Z Visitors' Experience of Digital Technology Implementation Services at Bekasi Museum. The concept of visitor experience used is Memorable Tourism Experiences according to Kim, Ritchie, and McCormick which includes Hedonism, Novelty, Local Culture, Refreshment, Meaningfulness, Involvement, and Knowledge. The research method used is descriptive with survey techniques through the distribution of questionnaires equipped with interviews, observations, and documentation. The population in this study were generation Z visitors who visited the Bekasi Museum. As for the number of respondents, as many as 60 people obtained by using incidental sampling techniques. The results showed that generation Z visitors had memorable tourism experiences with the Digital Technology Implementation Services at Bekasi Museum. This is based on visitor experience variable data which obtains a percentage of 89,29%.
