Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of information and communication technology at the Tulungagung IAIN Library with various obstacles. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach based on empirical data from the results of interviews, data reduction, analysis and conclusion. The technique of collecting data uses observation and interviews. The use of information and communication technology in the current era has spread in almost all aspects of life, including the library. The library is a place to develop information and knowledge managed by educational institutions, as well as educational tools to help facilitate teaching and learning activities of the academic community. The library has a variety of types, one of which is a college library. The college library has a role in supporting the implementation of the Higher Education Tri Dharma, including education, research or research and community service. No wonder this technology is applied in the Library. good service will influence the satisfaction of the user. In this regard the problems encountered at the Tulungagung IAIN Library, such as constraints in network systems and technology, are still not optimally utilized for students in searching online library materials. Therefore, libraries must be able to adapt and develop information and communication technology appropriately into various types of services. Technology-based service activities are expected to be one element that attracts visitors to visit and utilize various sources of information so as to enhance the image of the library

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the use of INLISLite (Integrated Library System) feature by librarians, the obstacles experienced and efforts to overcome the obstacles that occur. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The research informants consisted of 1 Plt. head of the Archive and Library Service, 1 head of information technology (IT) and 2 librarians. Data were collected using the observation, interview, and documentation stages. Data analysis techniques were obtained through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data retrieval. conclusion. The results of the study indicate that the use of INLIS Lite (Integrated Library System) feature has been well utilized for library management. INLIS Lite (Integrated Library System) used is version 3.2. The use of INLIS Lite (Integrated Library System) includes the management of library materials, circulation services (borrowing and returning), membership, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), making reports, and guest books. The problems faced in utilizing INLISLite (Integrated Library System) such as online integration OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and the latest version updates have been resolved properly. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan fitur INLISLite (Integrated Library System) oleh pustakawan, kendala yang dialami dan upaya mengatasi kendala yang terjadi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Informan penelitian terdiri dari 1 Plt. kepala Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan, 1 kepala bidang teknologi informasi (TI) dan 2 pustakawan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tahapan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data diperoleh melalui tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa pemanfaatan fitur INLISLite (Integrated Library System) sudah dimanfaatkan dengan baik untuk pengelolaan perpustakaan. INLISLite (Integrated Libray System) yang digunakan adalah versi 3.2. Pemanfaatan INLISLite (Integrated Library System) meliputi pengelolaan bahan pustaka, layanan sirkulasi (peminjaman dan pengembalian), keanggotaan, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), pembuatan laporan, dan buku tamu. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pemanfaatan INLISLite (Integrated Library System) seperti integrasi online OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) dan update versi terbaru telah terselesaikan dengan baik.
