Abstract

Hospital management needs to solve the problems that exist in the hospital by using the scientific method. The purpose of this study is to perform problem identification process, process of selecting problem priorities and problem solving recommendations, namely the problem of documenting patient education by nursing staff at Instalasi Rawat Jalan of RSUD Kota Dumai. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The number of informants is 10 people. The results of the study were from the man factor, lack of motivation, lack of compliance, lack of capacity of nursing staff as educators and mental models. From the method factors, lack of time from the nursing staff, lack of staffing functions from the Head Room of Instalasi Rawat Jalan, there is no routine supervision schedule from the Head Room of Instalasi Rawat Jalan and manual recording system for BPJS claims. From material factors, leaflets were underutilized and there was no educational format for re-control patients. The conclusions there is a need to improve the management function of the Head Room of Instalasi Rawat Jalan, training to increase the capacity of nursing staff as educators at Instalasi Rawat Jalan, optimizing the role of administrative staff to fill out BPJS claim files, increase SIMRS and evaluate the use of leaflets by the PKRS Installation at RSUD Kota Dumai.

Abstract

Implementation of nursing credentials through the nursing committee is currently influenced by the assessment of hospital accreditation standards by KARS or JCI. The Dumai General Hospital has not optimally carried out credentials, because since 2015 credentials have been carried out for First Clinical Nurses and First Practitioner Midwives, There has never been a credential to increase the career path of nurses and midwives. The purpose of this study was to apply the concepts and theories of hospital management to solve the problem of the nursing committee in the implementation of recredentials by the nursing committee. This study uses a qualitative method with a rapid assessment procedure research design. The technique of taking informants is purposive sampling, namely the key informant is the head of the nursing and the main informant is the chairman of the nursing committee. The data collection technique was carried out by in-depth interviews, document review and observation. Some of the problems found in the nursing committee unit by using the USG technique were obtained as priority problems for not implementing the recredentials which was caused by the non-establishment of the ad hoc committee, there are the differences in perception between the nursing committee and the ad hoc committee in determining the method of implementing the recredential, the procedure operational standards are not yet optimal and there is no specific budget for laboratory facilities and infrastructure. The Alternate problem solving can be used is a formulate an ad hoc committee, training for ad hoc committees, making policies, procedure operational standards, assessment tools and budget proposals for the implementation of nursingĀ  recredentials.

Abstract

Every hospital, both government and private, is obliged to provide safe, quality, anti-discriminatory and effective health services by prioritizing the interests of patients in accordance with hospital service standards. The quality of service in a hospital is not only determined by human resources who are experts in their fields but also supported by the facilities of medical equipment in the hospital. This is very beneficial because it can minimize invasive procedures, so that complications and risks due to medical procedures can be reduced. Dumai City Hospital The supply of medical equipment is still lacking and incomplete according to existing guidelines, which can hinder the smoothness of services provided to patients. This minimal equipment greatly affects the quality of services provided including patient waiting time which becomes quite long. The purpose of this study is to apply the concepts and theories of hospital management to solve problems that exist in the installation of medical devices at the Dumai City Hospital, to identify resource requirements human and medical device problems based on real situation analysis at the Dumai City Hospital Medical Device Installation. This study uses a qualitative method with a rapid assessment procedure research design. The technique of taking informants is purposive sampling, namely the key informant is the head of the medical device installation and the main informant is the person in charge of medical medical devices. The data collection technique was carried out by in-depth interviews, document review and observation. Some of the problems found in the nursing committee unit using the ultrasound technique were found to be the priority of the problem, the lack of staff and the not yet optimal career development program for medical device installation officers. Alternative problem solving that can be done is planning to recruit new officers to manage the repair and maintenance of medical devices, determine the rules and sanctions given if there are officers who do not carry out their duties properly where the repair and maintenance of medical devices is a very important unit in health services, planning application procurement proposals to arrange repair and maintenance schedules that are integrated with SIMRS, making standard SOPs for medical device installations, planning training / technical guidance for medical device installation officers.
