Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a disaster for the entire world, even affecting all aspects of human life, both in terms of economy, social and culture. Therefore, the government enacted a regulation called Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) to stop the spread of COVID-19. In this case, the government makes a policy to change the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) into the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) where the PSBB Restrictions are stricter than the Enforcement of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). Because the absence of a system makes it difficult for the government and requires a long time in determining the level of implementation of restrictions on community activities (PPKM). In order to assist in determining the level of PPKM, a decision support system is needed. The Preference Selection Index (PSI) method is a method used in a decision support system using simple steps in problem solving. The results of the research obtained that the highest rank is A7 with a value of 0.767 as level 1. By using the range on the PPKM level so that level 1 is Sibolga. Level 2 does not exist in the above alternative. Level 3 is terrain, Binjai, Pematang Siantar, Tebing Tinggi, Gunung Sitoli, Padang Sidimpuan, Tanjung Balai, Samosir and Kisaran and level 4 is not in the alternatives.

Abstract

Lecturers are educators at the university level, where there are various skills and experiences to create human resources as needed. However, the many criteria that exist for each lecturer with different grades make it difficult for a university to determine whether the lecturer is worthy of being accepted at the university or not. In accepting Permanent Lecturers, a Decision Support System is required. This Decision Support System is able to solve the problems faced. The method used in this research is the SAW Method. because it is able to solve an assessment problem with a model using priority values or weights that have been determined for each need. The result of this research is that Alternative A5 in the name of "Juliando Sahali, M.Kom" is the best alternative that is worthy of being accepted as a permanent lecturer at Budi Darma University with a value of Vi = 0.998.

Abstract

Public and private universities are institutions where students acquire knowledge according to their interests and talents. To improve student quality, universities implement programs for selecting outstanding students. However, in many public and private universities, the selection of outstanding students is often based solely on the Grade Point Average (GPA). In fact, several other assessment criteria should also be considered, such as the number of scientific papers, TOEFL score, GPA, ethics, and parents’ monthly income. Therefore, a decision support system is required to assist in the selection process of outstanding students. The method applied in this study is the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). This method is chosen because it can effectively solve decision-making problems by using priority values or weights assigned to each criterion. The results of this study indicate that Alternative A3, namely “Frans,” is the best alternative with a preference value (Vi) of 1
