Abstract

Disarpus Bandung is a technical institution that has the task and function of developing the habit of reading fondness through library empowerment. The role of the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) as an information retrieval system is very supportive as a means or facilities to improve services to the community, especially in the field of libraries in the city of Bandung. This study aims to determine (1) How is recall and precision in the OPAC of the Disarpus Bandung. (2) effectiveness of OPAC as an information retrieval system in the city of Bandung. The data collection method used is by conducting keyword searches on the OPAC of the Disarpus Bandung through the website page http://layanan.dispusip.bandung.go.id/inlislite3/opac/. These 10 keywords were the most searched or searched by library users in March 2022 in Disarpus Bandung. Every keyword used in the search process, the result is a number of catalog data. The catalog data obtained is then analyzed and determined which data are relevant and irrelevant to the information needs sought based on the title, the subject of the book, and the availability of the collection. Then the recall and precision calculations will be carried out to determine the effectiveness of the INLISLite application retrieval. Based on the results of testing on the OPAC of the Disarpus Bandung with 10 keywords most frequently searched by users during March 2022, it can be concluded that the information retrieval system has been effective. This can be seen from the average recall value of 0.96 or 95.79% and the average precision value of 0.92 or 92.31%. Of the 10 keywords, namely nursing, human resources, communication, research methods, accounting, taxation, information systems, skills, parenting, and psychology, the keywords with the highest recall and precision values are research methods and parenting keywords, namely the recall value of 1 or 100% and a precision value of 1 or 100%. Meanwhile, the lowest recall and precision values are communication keywords, with a recall value of 0.90 or 90.34% and a precision value of 0.88 or 88.33%. Overall, the OPAC at the Disarpus Bandung has been effective as an information retrieval system.

Abstract

Since 2015 the manufacture of library membership cards at the Bandung City Disarpus has been computerized. The application used for making library membership cards is an integrated library system (inlislite) application. Until now, studies on the analysis of library members have not been widely discussed and published in scientific journals, especially those related to the Bandung city library. The purpose of this study is to determine the number of active members of the library; number of active members by gender; the type of active member of the library; active members of the library by occupation; and active members of the library by age group. Data on active members of the library at the Bandung City Archives and Library Service from 2015 to 2021 can be concluded that the total number of library members was 9,043 people. 2019 was the highest year for library membership cards manufactured, which were 2,734 people or 30.23%. Library members with female gender being the highest number, which were 6279 people or 69.43%. Based on the type of members, the general group was the highest in 2015-2021 with 4,145 people or 45.84%. Based on the type of work, the highest number of library members are students with 3,115 people or 34.45%. And based on the age group, the highest number of library members were the age of 12 to 25 years (teenagers) as many as 5,365 people or 59.33%. Librarians at Department Archives and Libraries of Bandung City are expected to maintain the quality of service performance, especially in making library membership cards, so that library user visits can continue to increase. Department Archives and Libraries of Bandung City is expected to improve the quality and quantity in the procurement of books, especially for the age group of teenagers aged 12 to 25 years.

Abstract

One of the functions of Department Archives and Libraries of Bandung City is the development and implementation of regional library and archive management which includes library management, archive management and library and archive development. In the management of the library, the role of procuring a collection of library materials is very much needed, especially to increase the reading interest of the people of Bandung. The aim of this study is to determine the system of procurement of library materials, to find out the inhibiting factors in the library material procurement system, and to find solutions from librarians in overcoming obstacles in the procurement of library materials. This research was conducted at Department Archives and Libraries of Bandung City from June to July 2022. This type of research is qualitative research using a descriptive method. The instrument of data collection is by interview, observation, and literature review. The system of procurement of Department Archives and Libraries of the Bandung City is divided into three parts namely procurement selection, procurement process, and procurement result. The steps in the selection process for library materials are surveying user needs, collecting selection tools, and selecting library materials. The Techniques and methods of procurement of library materials with the method of selecting providers by direct procurement by procurement staff. The source of funds for the procurement of library materials comes from the Regional Budget of Bandung City in 2022. The process of receiving library materials includes the activities of examining received library materials, grouping of library materials, and submitting to the library material processing unit. After the procurement process is complete, then proceed to the reporting process. Reports are made periodically in the form of financial realization and performance realization which include procurement methods, number of procurements, types of library materials, and budget sources. difficulties in the procurement of library materials include the limited number of library materials published by publishers, the delay in information from publishers regarding the library materials ordered, and the absence of flexibility in determining the price of library materials. The solution to these obstacles is to communicate more intensely with publishers and seek information on library materials according to the required categories, frequent book fairs, and a more flexible policy of budget adjustment for the procurement of library materials.

Abstract

Kedatangan pemustaka ke perpustakaan merupakan tolak ukur pemanfaatan dan keberhasilan perpustakaan. Salah satu bentuk perwujudan Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat terutama warga Kota Bandung adalah layanan perpustakaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sistem layanan sirkulasi serta faktor-faktor pendukung & penghambat layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah pustakawan pada bidang pengelolaan perpustakaan. Sedangkan objek penelitian ini adalah sistem layanan perpustakaan pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian pada sistem layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung adalah sistem layanan terbuka. Dengan cakupan layanan sirkulasinya yaitu kegiatan pendaftaran anggota perpustakaan, peminjaman koleksi buku, pengembalian atau perpanjangan masa pinjam koleksi buku, serta pemberian sanksi. Faktor pendukung layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung antara lain layanan sudah terotomasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi INLISLite, lokasi perpustakaan yang terletak di pusat Kota Bandung, pemustaka diperbolehkan melakukan penelusuran langsung ke rak koleksi, dan seluruh layanan yang disediakan tidak dipungut biaya apapun atau gratis. Faktor penghambatnya antara lain buku yang dikembalikan langsung oleh pemustaka ke rak tidak tersusun sesuai dengan nomor klasifikasinya, masih adanya anggota perpustakaan yang terlambat dalam pengembalian koleksi buku, aplikasi yang digunakan terkadang bermasalah, kurangnya fasilitas komputer untuk penelusuran koleksi, kekurangan jumlah petugas perpustakaan, ruang baca kurang memadai, dan koleksi perpustakaan yang belum memenuhi seluruh kebutuhan pemustaka. Dari kajian ini diharapkan terdapat penelitian lanjutan yang lebih mendalam, terutama yang membahas mengenai sikap atau persepsi pemustaka terhadap layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan. Sehingga layanan sirkulasi perpustakaan ini sesuai dengan yang diharapkan oleh seluruh pihak.

Abstract

Koleksi perpustakaan merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kunjungan perpustakaan. Karena koleksi adalah tujuan utama pemustaka untuk datang mengunjungi perpustakaan dan memanfaatkan layanannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan koleksi buku Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung berdasarkan studi sirkulasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan cara mengunduh laporan peminjaman buku pada aplikasi INLISLite Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung berdasarkan frekuensi jumlah peminjaman buku selama tahun 2022 baik itu berdasarkan jenis kelamin peminjam, kelompok umur peminjam, nomor klasifikasi dan wilayah peminjam. Data yang telah diperoleh lalu diolah menggunakan microsoft excel. Selanjutnya data yang telah diolah ditampilkan dalam bentuk grafik dan tabel lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Jumlah peminjaman buku perpustakaan pada Dinas Arsip dan Perpustakaan Kota Bandung adalah sebanyak 15.755. Dengan peminjaman tertinggi pada bulan Oktober yaitu sebanyak 1.758 peminjaman atau 11,16 %. Sedangkan peminjaman buku perpustakaan terendah pada bulan Januari yaitu sejumlah 705 peminjaman atau 4,47 %. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin peminjam pada tahun 2022 perempuan menjadi yang tertinggi dengan jumlah peminjaman sebanyak 10.412 atau 66,1%. Sedangkan jenis kelamin laki-laki menjadi yang terendah dengan jumlah pinjamannya yaitu sebanyak 5.343 atau 33,9%. Berdasarkan kelompok usia frekuensi peminjaman buku tertinggi tahun 2022 adalah masa remaja akhir (17-25 tahun) dengan 7.823 peminjaman atau 49,65 %. Sedangkan yang terendah adalah kelompok usia masa manula (56-200 tahun) yaitu sebanyak 417 peminjaman atau 2,65 %. Berdasarkan klasifikasi DDC frekuensi peminjaman buku tertinggi tahun 2022 adalah kelompok 800 untuk kesusastraan dengan 4.571 peminjaman atau 29,01%. Sedangkan kelompok klasifikasi 700 untuk kesenian dan olahraga menjadi yang terendah dengan peminjaman sebanyak 397 atau 2,52%. Berdasarkan wilayah penduduk yang berdomisili di Kecamatan Coblong menjadi tertinggi dalam peminjaman buku perpustakaan pada tahun 2022 dengan 954 atau 8,79 %. Sedangkan penduduk yang berdomisili di Kecamatan Gedebage menjadi terendah dalam peminjaman buku perpustakaan dengan 40 atau 0,37 %. Urutan tertinggi judul buku yang paling sering dipinjam adalah "keluarga super irit 30: cara pintar hidup hemat" dengan 41 peminjaman.
