Abstract

Community potential can develop with the support of human resource skills. Batam as an archipelago has great potential in tourism and product development. In general, the development of infrastructure as a physical resource in the city of Batam has been sufficient to the islands around Batam, such as the island of Jaloh. The potential of the island as a national and foreign tourist spot needs the support of communication skills, especially English communication. most of the community activities are fishing and marine product management. In addition, the potential of the island as a tourist spot is an attraction for domestic and foreign tourists to visit and enjoy the beauty of the island of Jaloh. Based on community activities and the potential for island development, it is necessary to support English communication skills to make it easier to interact with visitors from abroad. This community service aims to improve English communication skills in supporting the potential of tourism islands and marine products. The achievement of the goals in this service is carried out using discussion and presentation methods regarding strategies and techniques of English communication skills. Coaching focuses on how to speak practically, practical speaking, pronunciation, daily vocabulary and listening. There needs to be coaching in communication in order to increase self-confidence. This activity is carried out for the youth community on Jaloh Island from December 2021 to June 2022. The results of community service, firstly, create cooperation in the field of community service between Putera Batam University and the people of Jaloh Island. Second, to increase insight and share knowledge of the service team to develop the potential of Jaloh Island community resources. Third, participants understand and have the knowledge and skills to communicate in English. Fourth, participants can achieve a competitive advantage in interacting through English communication. The implementation of activities can make a major contribution in developing the potential and building the advantages of the Jaloh Island community. The follow-up plan in the future is that community service activities are carried out by providing ongoing assistance and guidance. These activities can involve Batam city government officials to get encouragement and support.

Abstract

The potential for the city of Batam to develop is still quite large so that many investors invest by constructing projects in the form of housing, buildings that are used as shopping centers, warehouses, hotels and others. PT Benteng Indo Building is known as a company engaged in the sale of building materials in the city of Batam. The company PT Benteng Indo Bangunan always emphasizes that customer satisfaction is the company's priority but the company does not experience a large increase in customers. This is because the price, product quality and service quality at the company are not optimal. This study aims to determine the effect of price, product quality, service quality on customer satisfaction. The method used in this research is quantitative. The results of this study have the effect of price, product quality, service quality on customer satisfaction. By 87.2% the influence of price, product quality, service quality on customer satisfaction and 22.8% influenced by other variables.

Abstract

Tujuan yang dapat dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini sebagaimana untuk dapat mengetahui hubungan antara disiplin kerja, motivasi kerja serta gaji yang dapat diberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja karyawan pada PT Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam. Dalam sebuah penelitian kita perlu menentukan tujuan dari penelitian ini dan juga membuat sebuh gambaran terkait permasalahan apa saja yang ada dan akan dibahas pada penelitian yang sedang dilakukan. Metode penelitian dengan kuantitatif yang akan dipergunakan sebagaimana pada jenis penelitian. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 125 orang, semuanya bekerja di bagian manufaktur divisi Motion and Drive PT Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam Lot PEL yang dapat dijadikan sebagai populasi. Peneliti dalam penelitian ini menggunakan strategi non-probability sampling yang dipadukan dengan strategi sampling jenuh, dimana semua populasi yang ada dijadikan sampel. Temuan penelitian dapat menghasilkan bahwa disiplin kerja dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja karyawan yang positif serta segnifikan dengan besaran pengaruh sebesar 18,5%, motivasi kerja dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja karyawan yang positif serta segnifikan dengan besaran pengaruh sebesar 29,1%, gaji dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja karyawan yang positif serta segnifikan dengan besaran pengaruh sebesar 48,5%, disiplin kerjan, motivasi kerja serta gaji dapat memberikan pengaruh kepada kinerja karyawan yang positif serta segnifikan dengan besaran pengaruh sebesar 71,5%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Budaya organisasi, pengawasan dan disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan PT Anugrah Jala Chandra Batam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT Anugrah Jala Chandra Batam yaitu sebanyak 100 responden dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis  pengaruh menggunakan uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa variabel budaya organisasi, pengawasan dan disiplin berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan secara parsial dan simultan.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan hasil hipotesis pengaruh disiplin, stress kerja dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Sebuah penelitian yang mencakup 125 karyawan dengan tempat penelitian pada Batam City Hotel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh, sehingga semua anggota menjadi sampel penelitian. Penelitian menggunakan pengolahan data SPSS 25 dengan regresi linier berganda.penelitian uji hipotesis X1 didapat 5,032 > 1,980, uji hipotesis X2 didapat 3,582> 1,980, dan hipotesis X3 menghasilkan 4,777 > 1,980. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa uji hipotesis secara parsial dapat diterima. Pada uji secara simultan ditunjukkan hasil 66,900 > 3,07 sehingg hasil dapat diterima

Abstract

Class action research is one of the requirements to promote the teachers’ grades. Teachers are hoped to be able to conduct class action research and solve the teaching learning problem in the classroom. This activity was to assist the teachers of Pondok Pesantren Manba’ul Hidayah Batam to design and write class action research proposals. It was held from January to June 2022 with 17 teachers as the participants by applying the Service-Learning method with the model of lecture, discussion, and practice doing. In each meeting, the training discussed different materials such as lecturing an overview of classroom action research, classroom action research models, teaching-learning process problems in the classroom, teaching methods for problem-solving, and introduction to Turnitin and Mendeley applications. The result of this activity was the improvement in writing the proposal of class action research. It was hoped that the teachers might conduct this type of research to improve the students’ learning quality. The next activity is for the participants to write journal articles to be published.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Sat Nusapersada Tbk. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 100 perwakilan. Dilihat dari pemeriksaan informasi, eksplorasi ini merupakan jenis pemeriksaan kuantitatif. Informasi dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap pekerja PT Sat Nusapersada Tbk. Konsekuensi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan disiplin kerja pada tingkat tertentu mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, dapat diketahui bahwa motivasi secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan (H1 diterima), disiplin kerja secara parsial berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan (H2 diterima), serta motivasi, dan disiplin kerja secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan (H3 diterima)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Service quality and profit sharing on saving decision at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Batam Batu Aji. This study uses a quantitative approach, with a sample of 197 respondents. Data collection techniques in this study are by using a questionnaire distribution. The analysis techniques used in this study includes validity test, reliability test, multiple regression test, F test, t test and coefficient of determination. The data that has fulfilled the analysis techniques was processed using the help of the SPSS 26 program. It can be seen from the results of the statistical test that the service quality and profit sharing independent variables affect the dependent variable of saving decision. The results showed that based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination the influence of the independent variable service quality and profit sharing on the dependent variable of saving decision is 0,532 or 53.2 % which shows that saving decision can be influenced by service quality variable and profit sharing variable. While the remaining 46.8 % is influenced by other variables that do not exist in this study. This shows that service quality and profit sharinghas a significant effect on saving decision. Where if service quality is guaranteed and profit sharing is good will improve saving decision.

Abstract

AbstrakKampoeng Batik Batam Selaras memiliki potensi dalam pengembangan wisata Batik. Produk khas Batik Batam dapat memberikan pertumbuhan sektor ekonomi kreatif dan pariwisata. Dalam hal ini, melalui pemberdayaan ibu-ibu PKK dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan tambahan pendapatan ekonomi keluarga dan mengembangkan wisata batik. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pembinaan entrepreneuship terpadu untuk mencapai sasaran tersebut dengan cara memberikan pemahaman tentang konsep dasar, tujuan, dan key success menjadi entrepreneur. Selain itu, perlu adanya pemahaman terkait pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai salah satu media promosi dan pemahaman tentang komunikasi pemasaran terpadu dalam membangun sebuah usaha dan meningkatkan peluang batik khas Batam. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pembinaan sebanyak lima kali pertemuan melalui tatap muka secara langsung. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut telah menunjukkan ekspektasi dari tim pengabdian bahwa pembinaan entrepreneuship terpadu telah berhasil memberikan peningkatan soft skill para ibu-ibu PKK yang ada di Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras. Hal ini dapat terlihat setelah dilaksanakannya pembinaan ini mampu membuat kelompok batik menjadi lebih matang dalam berwirausaha dan mampu meningkatkan promosi batik khas Batam. Kata Kunci: Pembinaan, Entrepreneurship, Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras Abstract Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras has the potential to develop Batik tourism. Batam batik distinctive products can provide growth in the creative economy and tourism sectors. In this case, through the empowerment of PKK mothers can help in increasing the family's additional economic income and developing batik tourism. Therefore, there is a need for integrated entrepreneurship development to achieve these goals by providing an understanding of the basic concepts, goals, and key success of becoming an entrepreneur. In addition, there needs to be an understanding related to the use of social media as one of the promotional media and understanding of integrated marketing communication in building a business and increasing opportunities for batik Batam. This activity is carried out in the form of coaching five times through face-to-face meetings. The results of the implementation of these activities have shown the expectations of the dedication team that the fostering of integrated entrepreneurship has succeeded in increasing the soft skills of PKK women in Kampoeng Batik Batam Selaras. This can be seen after the implication of this coachingis able to make batik groups become more mature in entrepreneurship and able to increase the promotion of batik Batam.
