Abstract

Tujuan penelitian menganalisis efektivitas penyidikan dalam tindak pidana penipuan melalui media sosial di kepolisian daerah sulawesi selatan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder, data primer diperoleh dari wawancara maupun melalui pertanyaan tanya jawab yang dibuat menjadi kuesioner atau angket sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui dokumen-dokumen, jurnal-jurnal ilmiah maupun artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) efektivitas penyedikian terhadap tindak pidana penipuan melalui media sosial di kepolisian daerah Sulawesi selatan kurang efektif, Dengan demikian kurang efektifnya penyidikan tersebut mengakibatkan adanya tunggakan perkara setiap tahun.(2)faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi efektivitas penyidikan terhadap tindak pidana penipuan melalui media sosial yang dilaporkan di kepolisian daerah Sulawesi selatan adalah faktor substansi hukum, faktor aparat penegak hukum, faktor kesadaran hukum masyarakat. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of investigations in criminal acts of fraud through social media in the South Sulawesi regional police and the factors that influence it. This study uses primary data and secondary data, primary data obtained from interviews and through question and answer questions that were made into a questionnaire or questionnaire, while secondary data was obtained through documents, scientific journals and scientific articles. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the effectiveness of investigations against criminal acts of fraud through social media in the South Sulawesi regional police is less effective, thus the ineffectiveness of the investigation results in the existence of arrears in cases every year. (2) factors that affect the effectiveness of investigations against criminal acts of fraud through social media reported in the South Sulawesi regional police are factors of legal substance, factors of law enforcement officers, factors of public legal awareness.
