Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemahaman konsep peserta didik tunarungu dari penerapan bahan ajar materi Gaya dan Gerak berbasis literasi sains. Bahan ajar berupa handout yang memuat aspek literasi sains meliputi sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, penyelidikan, cara berpikir, dan interaksi sains dengan lingkungan, teknologi, dan masyarakat. Peserta didik diberikan pretest sebelum pembelajaran. Bahan ajar berbasis literasi sains digunakan untuk pembelajaran materi Gaya dan Gerak bagi peserta didik tunarungu. Pada akhir pembelajaran dilakukan postest pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Analisis data pretest dan protest menggunakan perhitungan nilai effect size. Hasil didapatkan nilai effect size 1.54, termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan interpretasi nilai tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penerapan bahan ajar materi Gaya dan Gerak berbasis literasi sains dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pada peserta didik tunarungu.

Abstract

Stunting in early childhood remains a serious problem in Indonesia, one of the main causes of which is suboptimal breastfeeding practices. Breastfeeding is a practice recommended by both science and Islam. Although the majority of Indonesians are Muslim, the rate of exclusive breastfeeding remains low, especially among working and highly educated mothers. This study aims to analyze the knowledge of early childhood Islamic education students, who represent prospective mothers with academic backgrounds in child development and Islamic law. The research uses a mixed-method (convergent) approach. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed simultaneously. Findings indicate that while 97% of respondents believe in the superiority of breast milk, only 18% are aware of its immune benefits. All respondents also agreed that the Qur'an encourages breastfeeding, but only 15% could correctly cite the relevant verse. Additionally, many viewed formula milk as the primary solution to breastfeeding challenges and had limited knowledge about maternal nutrition or breastfeeding counseling. These results indicate that while respondents believe in the importance of breastfeeding from both scientific and Islamic perspectives, their understanding is superficial. Therefore, integrated education is needed, involving the government, educational institutions, the community, and religious leaders to strengthen knowledge about breastfeeding among expectant mothers, focusing not only on the benefits of breast milk but also on lactation management. [Stunting pada anak usia dini masih menjadi masalah serius di Indonesia, yang salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah praktik menyusui yang belum optimal. Menyusui merupakan praktik yang dianjurkan baik dalam sains maupun Islam. Meskipun mayoritas penduduk Indonesia beragama Islam, tingkat pemberian ASI eksklusif tetap rendah, terutama di kalangan ibu bekerja dan berpendidikan tinggi. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengetahuan mahasiswa Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini, yang mewakili calon ibu dengan latar belakang akademis tentang perkembangan anak dan syariah Islam. Penelitian ini mengggunakan metode campuran (konvergen). Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis secara bersamaan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun 97% responden meyakini keunggulan ASI, hanya 18% yang mengetahui manfaat imunitasnya. Semua responden juga menyetujui bahwa Al-Qur'an menganjurkan praktik menyusui, namun hanya 15% yang dapat menyebutkan ayat tersebut dengan benar. Selain itu, banyak yang menganggap susu formula sebagai solusi utama untuk kendala menyusui dan memiliki pengetahuan yang terbatas tentang nutrisi ibu atau konselor menyusui. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun responden meyakini keutamaan menyusui baik dari perspektif ilmiah dan Islam, pemahaman mereka bersifat dangkal. Oleh karena itu, edukasi terintegrasi diperlukan dengan melibatkan pemerintah, institusi pendidikan, masyarakat, dan tokoh agama untuk memperkuat pengetahuan tentang menyusui di kalangan calon ibu yang tidak hanya berfokus pada keunggulan ASI tetapi juga manajemen laktasi].

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the extent to which the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual (SAVI) learning model can improve students' understanding of Fiqh at MTs Negeri 2 Cilacap. The background of this study is the low level of student understanding, which is caused by a teaching approach that is still teacher-focused, resulting in less student involvement in the learning process. This study used a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, each containing 31 students. The research instrument was a Fiqh understanding test whose validity and reliability had been tested. The resulting data analysis test, which was carried out using a normality test, showed that all test items were declared valid (0.101 > 0.05), as well as the homogeneity test (0.773 > 0.05) and the t-test (0.025). so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning there was a difference between the control class and the experimental class. The results of the study show the effectiveness of the SAVI learning model on students' understanding of Islamic jurisprudence at MTs Negeri 2 Cilacap.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of context-based experimental learning in improving elementary students’ problem-solving skills on the topic of changes in the states of matter. Addressing the persistent gap in Indonesian students’ scientific problem-solving performance reported by PISA 2022, the research employed a one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design involving 18 fourth-grade students from MI Ma’arif NU Cipete. Students’ problem-solving ability defined as the capacity to understand problems, devise strategies, and evaluate solutions was assessed using essay-based tests. The results showed a substantial improvement, with an N-Gain score of 0.72 (high category), indicating strong learning effectiveness. These findings demonstrate that context-based experimental learning not only strengthens conceptual understanding but also fosters active engagement and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The study provides empirical evidence supporting this method as a viable instructional strategy in elementary science education. Future research should extend the model to broader topics and diverse school contexts to confirm its generalizability.
