Abstract

Covid 19 has caused all sectors to weaken. Regional strength can be built through the economic recovery of each region, which is supported by educational empowerment programs to utilize the regional potential. The purpose of this study was to provide the results of developing entrepreneurial skills in students of the PAKET C equivalency program based on local potential through training in Lampung coffee processing. The skills provided include the production and marketing of Lampung coffee into processed food such as biscuits, air fresheners, and ready-to-brew ground coffee. Lampung coffee product marketing has been marketed throughout Indonesia and even abroad. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach which is defined as a problem-solving procedure by describing the situation of the subject or object (person, institution, or society) based on real conditions. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, correspondence documentation, and literature study of relevant research to obtain secondary data. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the students had the skills to produce and market Lampung coffee at PKBM Kencana. Every month each student earns 2 to 3 million. This research makes a scientific contribution to the study of non-formal education that leads to the quality of education in society.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat untuk menciptakan wirausaha baru yang mandiri, mendorong pemberdayaan wirausaha keluarga untuk meningkatkan penghasilan keluarga dan peluang kerja melalui perluasan jaringan. Kelurahan tematik Kampung Jawi di Sukorejo Kota Semarang saat ini membangun trademark atau karakteristik lingkungan melalui pengembangan potensi lokal yang dimiliki dengan membawa unsur budaya tradisi Jawa, dikemas dalam wisata kuliner. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRS) yang memberi peluang mitra berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan sejak identifikasi masalah sampai akhir kegiatan. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah ibu rumah tangga berdomisili di wilayah kampung tematik Kampung Jawi yang berpenghasilan rendah. Terdapat 4 kegiatan pelatihan untuk memberdayakan ibu rumah tangga yakni pelatihan vokasi sego berkat, gethuk kawi dan wedang kawi, pelatihan pengemasan produk, strategi branding dan marketing digital. Dampak pelatihan bagi sasaran adalah berkontribusi meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga dan menyemarakan keberlangsungan wisata Kampung Jawi.

Abstract

Islamic boarding school has the advantage to empower and change the social community. Pesantren has developed to follow the contemporary flow in empowering its students to have competencies of hard skills and soft skills. Graduates of Islamic boarding schools are able to be competitive in the Industrial Era 4.0 with an approach to empower students through social entrepreneurship training in developing entrepreneurship socio- economic creative product. This study aims: (1) Describing the model of social entrepreneurship training, developing a creative economy for students in Islamic boarding school, (2) Describing the management strategy of creative socio-economic entrepreneurship, (3) Describing community participation in agriculturally based industry social entrepreneurship, and (4) The impact of social entrepreneurship on the socio-economic for the community and students. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive design, data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations of students and the Clerics. The data validated by triangulating its sources and methods. Data analysis using interactive models. The results are applying a training model based on the needs of students, instructors training experts from stakeholders, and the Industry and Trade Office of Semarang City with a group approach. With the Clerics as the facilitator, the development of product design creativity focused on students. The produced goods are bookcases, Al-Qur'an reading tables, and wooden ashtrays. Entrepreneurial productivity is still limited to help the economic independence of students in the boarding school. Limited production time, in result of most of the time used for learning, product promotion and sales are not quite achieved.
