Abstract

This research was conducted in Oematnunu Village, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of rice straw mulch dose on the growth and yield of mustard (Brassica juncea L. ) and to get the right dose of rice straw mulch that can provide the best growth and yield of mustard plants. This study is a single factor experiment designed in a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments in the form of doses of rice straw mulch. Each treatment combination was repeated 6 (six) times so that a total of 30 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that 1). The dose of rice straw mulch treatment had a very significant effect on the height of the mustard plant, the increase in the number of leaves, the fresh gross weight of the mustard plant and the net weight of the mustard plant. Single factor treatment separately for each single factor treatment level of rice straw mulch dosage had a significant and very significant effect on most of the observation variables, in the form of increase in plant height, increase in number of leaves, fresh gross weight of mustard plants and net weight of mustard plants. 2). The interaction treatment level of dose of rice straw mulch of 20 tons/ha or equivalent to 200 grams/polybag is the best interaction treatment on plant height, number of leaves, total fresh gross weight of mustard plant and total net weight of mustard plant, each of which is plant height. 40.62 cm, the number of leaves 8.67 strands, the total plant fresh weight was 474.78 grams and the total plant net weight was 422.45 grams.

Abstract

This research was carried out from February to April 2022, in the yard of Naikoten Satu Output, Kupang City, with the aim of knowing the combination of the composition of soil planting media, husk charcoal, and cow dung on the growth and yield of mustard plants. This research was designed with a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment being tested was kobasi the composition of soil planting media material, husk charcoal, and cow dung manure which consisted of 6 treatments. P0 = Soil (100%), P1 = Soil with rice husk charcoal (2:1), P2 = Soil with cow manure (2:1), P3 = Soil with rice husk charcoal (1:1), P4 = Soil with cow dung manure (1:1), P5 = Soil with husk charcoal and cow dung manure (1:1:1). Each treatment was carried out in four (4) replications. Observational variable data (height, number of mustard leaves, total plant fresh weight and net fresh weight of mustard greens were analyzed using Variety Print Analysis, followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level. The results showed: 1). The combination treatment of soil media composition, husk charcoal, and cow manure had a significant and very significant effect on the height and number of leaves of mustard plants at observations 3 and 4 MSPT (1 WAP and 2 WAP), gross fresh weight, and net fresh weight, 2) . The combination treatment of soil media composition, husk charcoal, and cow manure ratio 1: 1: 1 (P5) gave the best results on plant height, number of leaves, fresh gross weight, fresh net weight, each of which was 28.70 cm for height. plants, 10.50 leaves for the number of leaves, 39.00 grams for fresh gross weight and 35.08 grams for fresh net weight of mustard greens.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the UPT Integrated Field Laboratory / Center for Excellence in Science and Technology on Dry Land Islands, Nusa Cendana University, which was carried out from March to May 2022. growth and yield of land kale and knowing the composition of the growing media (soil ratio, manure and husk charcoal) that can provide the best growth and yield of land kale. This study is an experimental experiment designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 7 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments tested in the form of planting media composition (Comparison of Soil, Manure, Husk Charcoal), were as follows: (T0) = 100% soil; (T1) = Soil 1: Manure 1; (T2) = Soil 1 : husk charcoal 1; (T3) = Soil 1: Cow manure 1: Husk charcoal 1; (T4) = Soil 2: Manure 1; (T5) = Soil 2: Husk Charcoal 1 and (T6) = Soil 2: Manure 1: Husk Charcoal 1. The results showed that the combination of planting media (comparison of soil, manure, and husk charcoal) had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, gross fresh weight, and net fresh weight of kale as well as the combination treatment of soil and manure (1 : 1) gave the best results for plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, net weight, which were 18.74 cm for height, respectively. plants, 8.44 leaves for the number of leaves, 17.67 grams for fresh weight and 12.84 grams for plant net weight.
