Abstract

Efforts to increase water spinach production in the future still and continuously rely on improving soil fertility and the use of effective and efficient media. Fertilizers used for water spinach plants can be organic or inorganic fertilizers. Continuous use of inorganic fertilizers has a negative impact on soil productivity. Therefore, the use of environmentally friendly fertilizers in cultivating land water spinach is urgently needed, for example the use of organic fertilizers. Eco Farming fertilizer is an organic fertilizer produced with the aim of increasing plant productivity by improving agricultural soil texture. The purpose of this study was to determine how much concentration of Eco Farming fertilizer should be given to land water spinach plants. This research was conducted from June - July 2023 at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Jln. Golf Course, Durian Jangak Village, Pancur District, this research used quantitative experiments. This study used a Randomized Block Design, Non Factorial, namely the dose (P0 = control; P1 = 7.5 ml eco farming; P2 = 15 ml eco farming; P3 = 22.5 ml eco farming. This had a significant impact on plant height parameters, and the P2 dose was the most effective according to research findings

Abstract

The management of waqf in Indonesia faces serious challenges in terms of governance and accountability, especially related to the audit function of waqf institutions. Effective audits are the main prerequisites in ensuring transparency, professionalism, and sustainability of waqf asset management. This study aims to identify and prioritize the main problems of auditing in waqf institutions in Indonesia based on the views of experts. The method used is Delphi, involving 15 expert respondents consisting of academics, practitioners, and regulators in the field of waqf and Islamic economics. Data analysis was carried out using three main consensus indicators, namely mean value, standard deviation, and interquartile range (IR). The results of the study showed that all variables of waqf audit problems reached a consensus level (convergent). The three main priorities for waqf audit issues in Indonesia are financial transparency, management professionalism, and service quality. These findings affirm the importance of strengthening the audit system and waqf governance to increase public trust and the effectiveness of waqf management in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aimed to document wild plants used as medicinal resources by the Mandailing ethnic community in Lubuk Barumun District, Padang Lawas Regency, and to identify plant diversity, processing methods, utilized plant organs, and phytochemical contents of the most frequently used species. The research employed a descriptive method, with data collected through open interviews involving 20 respondents and field observations, followed by qualitative phytochemical screening of three dominant species. The results revealed 20 plant species belonging to 13 families used in traditional medicine. Leaves were the most commonly utilized plant organ, while pounding and boiling were the primary preparation methods. Phytochemical screening indicated that Ageratum conyzoides L., Acalypha indica L., and Stachytarpheta jamaicensis (L.) Vahl contain flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and steroids, with alkaloids detected in Stachytarpheta jamaicensis. In conclusion, the traditional healing practices of the Mandailing community are supported by the presence of potentially pharmacologically active secondary metabolites and reflect sustainable utilization of biological resources; however, further quantitative and pharmacological studies are required to strengthen scientific validation.   Keywords: Ethnobotany, Phytochemistry, Mandailing Community, Traditional Knowledge, Medicinal Plants
