Abstract

Banyak pembelajaran yang monoton. Hal itu disebabkan oleh motode yang digunakan tidak variatif. Padahal metode merupakan cara yang dipakai guru untuk memberi kesempatan siswanya agar memahami materi yang diajarkan. Salah satu metode yang memakai pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, tetapi tanpa harus mengorbankan tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Dengan memakai dasar tersebut, dirumuskan sebuah masalah yaitu bagaimana efektivitas metode permainan bentuk teka-teki silang dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Kelas III Tuna Grahita SDLB Kedungkandang Malang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Bahasa Indonesia Menggunakan Permainan Teka Teki Silang di Kelas III Tuna Grahita SDLB Kedungkandang Malang. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian tindakan kelas karena mencoba mencari metode yang tepat sebagai solusi pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia aspek Kesastraan. Dalam melakukan penelitian, peneliti memakai langkah penelitian yaitu (1) refleksi awal, (2) merumuskan masalah, (3) melakukan tindakan (acting), (4) melakukan Observasi (Observasing), (5) melakukan refleksi data (reflecting), dan (6) merancang daur ulang. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga siklus. Instrument yang dipakai yaitu tes. Teknik pengumpulan datanya memakai (1) observasi, (2) angket, dan (3) analisis tugas siswa. yang menjadi subjek penelitian yaitu enam siswa kelas III tuna grahita SDLB Kedungkandang Malang dan seorang guru SDLB Kedungkandang Malang. Hasil yang didapat setelah dilakukan penelitian yaitu metode permainan bentuk teka-teki silang sangat efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia aspek kesastraan pada siswa kelas III tuna grahita SDLB Kedungkandang Malang. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil refleksi setiap siklus yang selalu mengalami peningkatan hasil belajarnya.

Abstract

This study aims to optimise mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the problem-based learning (PBL) model combined with the culturally responsive teaching (CRT) approach in the context of Madiun's culinary specialities in statistics material. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII A of SMPN 14 Madiun. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observations. The results of the study indicate that the application of PBL with the CRT approach in the context of Madiun's culinary specialities can improve students' understanding and skills in statistical material. In addition, students become more motivated and active in the learning process because the material taught is relevant to their local culture. This increase can be seen from the average value of students in each cycle and the positive response from students to learning. Thus, the application of PBL with the CRT approach based on Madiun's culinary specialities has proven effective in optimising student learning outcomes in statistical material. Therefore, the researcher recommends that teachers consider using a similar approach when teaching other materials to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach in improving student learning outcomes. The method used is classroom action research (CAR), conducted during the Field Experience Program (PPL) in class VIIIB at SMPN 14 Madiun. Data collection was carried out through tests, documentation, and observation. Data analysis included both quantitative and qualitative data, with research instruments consisting of test sheets, including pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed that student learning outcomes, particularly in the area of knowledge, significantly improved from 57% in Cycle I to 83% in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach is effective in enhancing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the activity and learning outcomes of grade VII B students at SMP Negeri 14 Madiun through the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) by integrating the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) and CASEL. This research is a Class Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles, where in each cycle 2 meetings are held. The collection of research data was carried out from May 7, 2024 to May 22, 2024 at SMP Negeri 14 Madiun. The research subjects in this study are 23 students of class VII B in the subject of Data Presentation in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year. Data were collected through initial tests (pre-cycles), formative tests in each cycle, observation and documentation. Data processing is carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner by looking at the results of student activities and learning outcomes in each cycle. The success criteria determined for student activity are to achieve the medium category. Meanwhile, the success criterion for learning outcomes is that at least 80% of students achieve the KKM with a minimum score of 75.00. The results of the study showed that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the Culturally responsive Teaching (CRT) and CASEL was able to increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in grade VII B in the subject of Data Presentation at SMP Negeri 14 Madiun, with the average percentage of student activity in the first cycle reaching 58.09% and increasing to 85.76% in the second cycle, and the learning outcomes of students who achieved KKM increased from 34% in the first cycle to 82% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Learning activities that do not focus on the background of students and lack of problem solving make learning less meaningful and result in low critical thinking skills, especially in mathematics learning. This study aims to improve critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes of students through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model with the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The subjects of the study were 27 students of class VIII C of SMP Negeri 14 Kota Madiun in the 2023/2024 academic year. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kurt Lewin model research design, which was carried out in two cycles including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills, marked by an increase in five assessment indicators: Providing Simple Explanations, Building Basic Skills, Concluding, Making Further Explanations, and Developing Strategies and Tactics. The percentage of critical thinking skills increased from 66.4% in the pre-cycle, to 72.1% in cycle I, and 83.0% in cycle II. In addition, learning outcomes also increased from 28.125% in the pre-cycle, to 75% in cycle I, and 84.4% in cycle II. In conclusion, the PBL model with the CRT approach is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes.
