Abstract

Ijarah merupakan akad sewa yang dapat digunakan seseorang untuk bisa menggunakan jasa orang lain atau manfaat atas suatu barang dalam menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan yang diperbolehkan dalam Islam. Dengan adanya akad tersebut, penyewa memiliki kewajiban untuk membayar upah sebagai salah satu kewajibannya kepada orang yang disewa jasanya. Islam menganjurkan untuk mempercepat pembayaran upah dan melarang untuk menunda-nundanya. Praktik penundaan upah terjadi di UD. Nusantara Pasanggar Pegantenan Pamekasan. Fenomena ini menjadi penyebab utama atas kekesalan para pekerja dan mengurangi keihklasan pekerja dalam melaksanakan tugas. Penundaan pembayaran upah yang terjadi di UD. Nusantara merupakan perbuatan yang bertentangan dengan prinsip perburuhan dalam hukum Islam yang lebih mengutamakan pembayaran upah bagi pekerja secara langsung setelah pekerjaannya usai.

Abstract

This research aims to describe; (1) how Total Physical Response Method (TPR) can increase students’ English vocabulary mastery? This research uses classroom action research by applying Hopkins model and collaborative patterns. This research was carried out in the fifth grade of MI Nasy'atul Muta'allimin Dungkek Sumenep. The data collection techniques used are interview, test, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the technique of data analysis used quantitative data analysis to analyze student learning outcomes and qualitative data analysis to analyze student learning process. The criteria of success of this research are 100% of students' scores are increased above criteria after the learning process. The results of data analysis show that: Total Physical response method can improve students' English vocabulary mastery. This can be seen from student learning process and outcomes which are increasing from the start of pre-test to the end of cycle II. The results of increasing students' English vocabulary mastery during pre-test only reached 6.7%, with an average score of 47. Meanwhile in cycle 1 there was an increase in learning outcomes, namely increasing to 93.3% with an average score of 87.6. However, in cycle I there was still 1 student who had a score below the criteria. In the second cycle there was a very significant increase in learning outcomes, namely increasing to 100% with an average score of 95.3. So in the second cycle all students have obtained a complete score above the criteria of success.

Abstract

This research raises democratization of Islamic education through application of Islamic Education Institution Management, SBM as a tool for educational institution to realize democratic Islamic education. Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning National Education System and quality assurance through 2005 Law on National Education Standard which all demonstrate the democratization of education. This study uses a qualitative approach by describing application of School-Based Management in Islamic educational institution, and analyzing that application of School-Based Management is a way of realizing democratic Madrasah. The results of the study showed that the reference of implementation of SBM in Madrasah starts from Law no. 2 of 1989, No. 20 of 2003, PP No. 19 of 2005 and PP No. 55 of 2007. The strategy of SBM implementation is autonomy, empowerment, independence and flexibility. While the stages of its implementation are by way of socialization, formulation of vision and mission goals, identification of challenges, identification of functions, SWOT analysis, alternative solutions, quality improvement plan, implementation of quality improvement, and evaluation and monitoring. Implementation of School-Based Management strongly shows the existence of democratization in education, this is reflected in principles of a democratic form of Islamic education including respect for the potential of Madrasah, dynamic curriculum and the creation of synchronization of educational institutions with community as customer.

Abstract

Teaching English to young learner is very different from teaching English to adolescent and adults. There are three learner groups in English language teaching (ELT). There are young children, adolescent and adult. The three learner groups have crucial differences in terms of language learning needs, language competence emphasized, and cognitive skill addressed. Understanding the ideas and strategies for teaching English to young learners is very urgently needed for English teachers to design and develop learning activities for children. This article tries to explain some practical strategies or ideas in teaching English to young learners (TEYL). The practical strategies that can be practiced in the teaching English to young learners are: teaching with pictures, visual and realia, teaching with movement and games, teaching with stories and teaching with music or song. Hopefully, these strategies can help teachers especially teachers of young learners in designing and developing learning activities in the classroom.
