Abstract

Biodiesel berbasis minyak goreng limbah telah menarik perhatian sebagai sumber energi alternatif yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh waktu reaksi terhadap karakteristik kualitas biodiesel, termasuk titik nyala, viskositas, densitas, bilangan oksidasi, bilangan asam, dan bilangan iodin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu reaksi memiliki dampak signifikan pada titik nyala, dengan nilai yang lebih tinggi mengindikasikan stabilitas termal yang lebih baik. Sementara itu, viskositas menunjukkan konsistensi, menandakan ketepatan dalam proses produksi biodiesel. Densitas biodiesel tetap stabil pada nilai target standar, menunjukkan konsistensi dalam produksi. Namun, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi densitas. Peningkatan bilangan oksidasi mengindikasikan pentingnya penanganan yang tepat untuk mengendalikan stabilitas oksidatif biodiesel. Meskipun bilangan asam cenderung bervariasi, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu reaksi mungkin tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi nilai tersebut. bilangan iodin, penelitian mengungkapkan hubungan positif antara waktu reaksi dan bilangan iodin. Secara keseluruhan, temuan ini memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang karakteristik biodiesel, namun menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor kompleks juga memengaruhi sifat-sifat biodiesel secara keseluruhan. Oleh karena itu, analisis lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memastikan kinerja optimal dan keamanan biodiesel dalam aplikasi praktis, sekaligus menekankan perlunya mempertimbangkan berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi produksi biodiesel secara keseluruhan. Temuan ini dapat membantu pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam produksi biodiesel yang efisien dan ramah lingkungan dari minyak goreng limbah.

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi telah menjadi salah satu strategi kunci dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan jangkauan pasar bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dodol Bengkel. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk  a) membantu UMKM dalam pengadaan peralatan proses pembuatan dodol dan melakukan differensiasi produk dodol dengan berbagai bentuk, warna dan rasa serta kemasan sehingga dapat menarik konsumen dan b) membantu UMKM dalam menerapkan digital marketing sehingga produk dodol pasar bengkel dapat dipasarkan secara online dan melakukan dokumentasi pembukuan secara digital. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode forum group discussion dan melakukan pelatihan pada pemilik usaha UMKM Dodol Bengkel dan karyawan. Hasil dari pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan memahami penggunaan mesin pengaduk dodol, pembuatan produk dodol dengan variasi bentuk, rasa dan warna, pemahaman terkait design kemasan produk, pemasaran digital dan pembuatan laporan keuangan secara digital.

Abstract

The lack of implementation of procedures in the process of solving land deeds causes services to be less effective and prone to errors in writing archive data due to the manual process using a special agenda book. This research aims to build a web-based information system to improve efficiency and accuracy in the process of solving land deeds at the Percut Sei Tuan Sub-district Office. The system is designed to replace the manual methods that have been used, which often lead to delays, duplication of data, and inaccuracies in the management of archives. Using technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap5, the system allows for automatic data input, faster file checks, and the creation of structured periodic reports. The system is also equipped with an automatic land deed numbering feature to prevent data duplication and make it easier to track records. The results of the study show that the system developed is able to improve the work efficiency of government staff and provide convenience for the community in applying for land deed solutions. This system is expected to be a modern solution to support better administrative services in Percut Sei Tuan District.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of various administrative processes, including in personnel management in government agencies. This research aims to design and build a web-based periodic salary increase (KGB) information system at the Regional Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKDPSDM) of Medan City. This system was developed to replace the manual processes that are still used in the management of the KGB, which often causes delays and errors in the processing of employee data. This study uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method of the waterfall model, which includes requirements analysis, design with flowcharts, DFD, and ERD, implementation using CodeIgniter, and testing with the black-box method. The results of the study show that the system built improves the efficiency of data input, salary calculation, and automatic report generation. The notification feature helps reduce administrative delays, while the user-friendly interface makes it easy for staff to operate without intensive training. The implementation of this system is expected to increase the accuracy, speed, and transparency of personnel management in the Medan City BKDPSDM.

Abstract

Early detection of diabetes emergencies and complications is an important step in preventing morbidity and mortality due to diabetes mellitus. Primary care physicians play a crucial role in identifying early signs of these conditions and providing prompt and appropriate interventions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of primary care physicians in detecting diabetes emergencies and identify challenges faced in the process. This study used a quantitative and qualitative approach by collecting patient medical record data, interviewing health workers, and analyzing the referral system implemented in primary healthcare facilities. Tools used included glucometer, ketone meter, sphygmomanometer, electrocardiogram (ECG), and statistical software for data analysis. The results showed that doctors who received continuous training and had access to adequate diagnostic tools were more effective in detecting diabetic complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis and severe hypoglycemia. This study recommends improving the competence of medical personnel through continuous training, providing more complete diagnostic tools, and improving the referral system by utilizing health technology. Abstract

Hypertension crisis is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment to prevent serious complications, such as stroke and heart failure. Primary healthcare facilities have an important role in early detection and early treatment of crisis hypertension, but still face various challenges in its implementation. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the challenges in the management of hypertensive crisis emergencies in primary healthcare facilities and identify solutions that can be implemented to improve the effectiveness of services. Methods: This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with medical personnel in primary healthcare facilities. In addition, an analysis of current policies and direct observation of the availability of drugs and medical devices that support the management of hypertension crisis were conducted. Results: The results showed that the main challenges in the management of hypertension crisis include the lack of training of medical personnel, limited availability of emergency antihypertensive drugs, and an unoptimal referral system. Lack of patient awareness of the symptoms of hypertensive crisis is also a contributing factor to the delay in treatment. Conclusion: To overcome these challenges, strategies are needed that include periodic training for medical personnel, improving the distribution and availability of drugs in primary health facilities, and optimizing the referral system.

Abstract

MSME actors at the North Sumatra Cooperative Office often experience difficulties in their business. The difficulty that arises in this business is the difficulty of MSMEs/SMEs in marketing their products and finding suitable buyers. This research aims to design and build a web-based marketing information system for MSME actors under the auspices of the North Sumatra Cooperative Office to overcome the limitations of market reach and access to technology. The system uses PHP, MySQL, and XAMPP with the SDLC approach of the waterfall model. The K-medoids clustering method was applied to group MSME data, resulting in a quality cluster with a Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) value of 0.368812. The grouping results showed that 314 MSME actors deserved a 30% reward, 540 received a 20% reward, and 231 received a 10% reward. This system helps expand marketing reach, make it easier for customers to find products, and increase the competitiveness of MSMEs. This research supports the digital transformation of MSMEs and can be replicated to encourage sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Multiclass imbalanced classification remains a significant challenge in machine learning, particularly when datasets exhibit high Imbalance Ratios (IR) and overlapping feature distributions. Traditional classifiers often fail to accurately represent minority classes, leading to biased models and suboptimal performance. This study proposes a hybrid approach combining Generalization potential and learning Difficulty-based Hybrid Sampling (GDHS) as a preprocessing technique with Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT) as the classifier. GDHS enhances minority class representation through intelligent oversampling while cleaning majority classes to reduce noise and class overlap. GBDT is then applied to the resampled dataset, leveraging its adaptive learning capabilities. The performance of the proposed GDHS+GBDT model was evaluated across six benchmark datasets with varying IR levels, using metrics such as Matthews Correlation Coefficient (MCC), Precision, Recall, and F-Value. Results show that GDHS+GBDT consistently outperforms other methods, including SMOTE+XGBoost, CatBoost, and Select-SMOTE+LightGBM, particularly on high-IR datasets like Red Wine Quality (IR = 68.10) and Page-Blocks (IR = 188.72). The method improves classification performance, especially in detecting minority classes, while maintaining high accuracy.
