Abstract

Students at Universitas Terbuka especially from Primary Schools Teachers Education program are clustered into study groups. These study groups exist in all UT regional centers. Several study groups are coordinated by a coordinator. The coordinators have important role in managing the students learning activities as well as promoting Universitas Tebuka. Charcteristics of coordinators, factors related to coordinators roles, and their involvement in promoting UT are discussed in this article.

Abstract

The design of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The purpose of this study is to improve the learning methods and student learning outcomes. Previously, there were still a few cases of low score of grade VII students of state Junior High School 2 (SMP Negeri 2) Tapung that is below the standard of Maximum Exhaustiveness Criteria (KKM). KKM has been determined by the school that is 70. the effort done either choosing the strategies or methods has been implemented, but not succeeded. From that point, the effort to improve the learning outcomes of teachers is by using peer methods. Through peer methods it is expected that their learning outcomes can increase because students feel free to express their opinions with peers and they do not feel reluctant and ashamed. This research was conducted with two cycles. Before conducting research the writer conducted survey. With the test, the purpose is to know how far the mastery of the students over the material given by the teacher. At the pre-cycle stage is complete score 24.00% and not complete 76.00%. In the first cycle, it increased to complete score 60.00% and incomplete 40.00%, while in the second cycle the score increased to 92.00% with complete score and incomplete one is 8.00%. According to the average of pre cycle rate of 61.00%, which is the first cycle is 78.00%, and the second cycle becomes 90.00% .thus it can be concluded that peer method can improve student learning outcomes at Junior High School 2 (SMP Negeri 2) Tapung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the activity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students of State Elementary School 03 Kundur because in reality there are a few students who get the lowest score that is 62 while the Criterion of Minimal Completeness(KKM) of his school has set 70. The Efforts to improve learning outcomes is by using the Process Skill Approach consisting of two cycles in which Cycle I and Cycle II. The Subject in this study is  students of grade IV of State Elementary School 02 Kundur. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The result of this study is from the beginning until two cycles that is pra-cycle on the average score 74.44, cycle I that is 74.11, and cycle II increased to 80.44. The score of cycle I is the lowest 65 and the highest  85. In the cycle II, lowest score is 70 and the highest one is 90. The complete score in cycle I is only 19 students (70,37) and uncomplete score is 8 students (29,63%). In cycle II, there is a change in which all students have completed score (100%). Having been viewed from the range of score ​​and criteria on the high cycle I score is (26.93%), sufficient score is 44.44% and low score is 29.63%. so cycle I of criteria score lies in sufficient Criteria score . On the second cycle, there are increases of the  very high criteria score 11.11%, high score criteria 48.15% and sufficient score criteria 40.74% then the score of cycle II lies in the High score criteria. The Subject in this study is  students of grade IV State Elementary School 03 Kundur.

Abstract

The Giving Task Methode is a an efision method In the class, Special to readingcomprehension clas, and invite class. The purpose og this research is to analysis somemethod giving tas toincreasc Reading Comprehension to Fifth Grade in Elemntrary School02 Rumbai Pekanbaru.In the research the student into group and each group is givin two texts white different topix.The students asked to read, look for main idea, support ide, suppose imformation and writeconclusion, then write the answers in the work book (LKS) has been prepared by teachers.The first cycle, there are many tudent don’t bring books but the second cycle have change,for example In te student who don’t bring books and don’t give attention to the teacher can’twe find again. It has been remembered by teachers.The research has done two seklus. In the first cycle the studens can’t do all their task,answer the question because the student still write the texts as the aswer, The students stillwrite the text as the aswer. The students who don’t get good mark fifteen students (66,56%)and get good mark are twelve students (44,44%). In the second cycle the increase mark ofstudent can we found that is the 100%. Students pass of the test and the down mark iseighty five and the high mark 1 is ninety five, t’s is course by process of learning which haveknoen by the teacher, How to way increase of student comprehension in the read havechanged. In the first and the seconf cycle, all the activities student and teachers in thecomprehension of learning have increased.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan memperbaiki hasil belajar membaca kritis menentukan paragraf sebuah wacana atau bacaan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 035 melalui Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Pelaksanaan penelitian sesuai dengan prosedur pembelajaran, mulai dari perencanaan, kegiatan awal, inti, dan penutup. Kemudian mengevaluasi proses pembelajaran untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dua siklus. Sebelum melakukan penelitian mereka diberikan tes awal dengan hasil yang tuntas sebesar 43,90% dan tidak tuntas 56,10%. Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar membaca mereka, digunakan metode Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Metode ini memang diperkenalkan dengan siswa tentang bagaimana cara membaca kritis dengan materi menemukan paragraf bacaan transportasi yang ada di pedasaan dan perkotaan. Subjek penelitian adalah 41 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 035 Pekanbaru. Siklus I yang tidak tuntas 42,90% dan tuntas 57,10%, untuk siklus II rata-rata mereka telah mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 100%. Hasilnya sebagai dasar untuk dijadikan penelitian ini karena metode yang digunakan metode CTL. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode CTL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SD Negeri 035 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan penggunaan unsurserapan melalui metode inquery di SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. Metode penelitianadalah metode inquery karena penelitian berharap bahwa metode ini siswa dapatmenemukan langsung masalah yang dipelajari siswa. Hasil belajar sebelumpenelitian adalah sangat rendah yaitu ketuntasan sebanyak 13 orang 38,24%setelah diadakan perbaikan pada siklus I yang lulus sebanyak 14 orang 41,18 % danpada siklus II lulus 30 orang 88,24 %. Yang tidak tuntas masih ada 4 orang yaitu11,76 %.

Abstract

Abstract This reasearch is a class room action reasearch. The aims of this research are to increase students writing ability in paraphrasing poetry to prose and to decribe how paraphrase method increase students writing ability in paraphrasing poetry to prose. The subject of this research is the second grade students of SMP Al-Ittihat Pekanbaru. There are 20 students participated in this research. The topic of the writing is paraphrase poetry to prose. The data of these research were taken from students scores on pre-test and post- test and observation record on students and teacher activity on learning proces cycle I and cycle 2 by using paraphrase method. The result of the study showed that on pre-test only 8 students (40%) reached KKM (Minimum Achievment Criterion) while 12 students (60%) failed. At cycle 1, there are 16 students (20%) reached KKM while 4 students (20) failed. At cycle 2, all students (100%) reached KKM. It is concluded that Paraphrase Method can icrease the second grade students, ability in paraphrasing poetry to prose at SMP Al-Ittihat Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the activities and learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia subject matter, and the topic isabout intrinsic and extrinsic elements of prose literature work. The method used is crossword puzzle method for grade V studentsof state elementary school no 165 Pekanbaru. This research is classroom action research (CAR) with guidance from classroomaction research Wardani and Kuswaya Wihardiet (2019). classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. To find outstudents' knowledge, a pre-cycle test is conducted. Then the planning for correction is carried out in cycle I and cycle II. Thesubject of the study was the fifth grade students of state elementary school no 165 Pekanbaru, with the number is 45 students.Data collection method is carried out based on documentation, observation, and tests. Data analysis techniques by analyzingdata through data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This CAR is carried out in two cycles, each cyclearranges lesson plan, Procedures for implementing, evaluating, reflecting, learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesian with a totalscore 3230 averaging 70.22; the first cycle is 3353 with an average of 48.89; and cycle II increased to 97.78. For studentscompleteness in pre-cycle is 26.67 cycle I increased to 48.85% and cycle II becomes 97.78%. It can be concluded that the use ofcrossword puzzle method can improve learning outcomes and learning activities of fifth grade students of state elementary schoolno 165 Pekanbaru.
