Abstract

Article to analyse the selling information needs by paying attention to transaction simplicity process so itcan grow the custmer trust to the company. The research was done by a direct survey to the company by doingbusiness process survey, spreading questioner, and analyzing the needs of information. Abstract

Recently, usage of Information Technology (IT) as assisting tools in business activities is becoming more common. Business transactions are conducted with support of IT tools so that they can be well processed by system. This is only a small part of IT usage in supporting business activities. IT role can be increased by designing and implementing a system which can extract and change business information from existing operational data so that in the end it can give support in formulating business decisions. This research will discuss the concept, benefits, categories, and method of Business Intelligence implementation.Keywords: business intelligence, method, balanced scorecard

Abstract

Article discuss problem faced by PT Balfour Beatty Sakti Indonesia (PT BBSI), which is lack planning ofmaterial inventory supply. Inventory was bought overly as safety stock. That caused inventory stacking so the companyoperation less efficient and caused damage on the material itself. The inventory model will be used to overcome theproblem is Periodic Order Quantity (POQ) model that was develop from Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) basic model.The proposed problem solution will be applied in inventory information system in form of analysis and design of materialinventory information system object oriented using Mathiassen approach.Keywords: information system, inventory, intranet, material

Abstract

Nowadays, business activity in every organization will not be parted from information system (IS) and information technology (IT). STMIK XYZ is one private college that has a good business growth. In order to reach the objective of the college in its vision and mission, it needs business strategy and IS/IT strategy. The basic concept in arranging framework IS/IT strategic planning in STMIK XYZ is John Ward and Joe Peppard’s concept. The framework of IS/IT strategic planning consists of 5 steps, that are initialization preparation strategic planning of IS/IT, understanding business and information needs, defining target of IS/IT, defining strategic IS/IT, and planning and implementation. Strategic analysis uses PEST analysis method, BCG matrix analysis, five Porter power analysis, SWOT analysis, value chain analysis, CSF and KPI analysis. The research result is to make a framework of IS/IT integrated strategic planning so it could ease the management to manage resources to produce information that needed, accurate, and could be used by anybody.Keywords: planning, business strategy, IS/IT strategy, information system strategic planning, Ward & Peppard method.
